Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday October 7

Morning Maniacs -

I'm a bit bummed cuz I was up at 2:50 am and shut my alarm off and was going to get up...but I fell back asleep and didn't get up till 3:30 am. Now I'm not going to have time to do the 80" yoga I wanted to do.

I'm off to do some Spinning and yoga. Be back later.
 
I ended up doing Spinervals Sprinting Machine. Workout (without stretch) was 54" and I burned 424 calories (although not sure that is totally accurate as my HRM wouldn't read my HR for the last 20"). I then did Prevention Slim, Strong and Firm - Core Pilates segment (using my red band) with w/u & c/d 30". I finished off with Yoga for Surfers Volume 1 40". Since my legs are finally getting stronger from spinning, I was able to really crank the resistance during the intervals and now my legs are TOAST! That's the only downside to spinning is that sometimes your legs feel too sore to lift weights the next day.

Have great workouts or rest days everyone. We're going to the dollar theatre today to see Shoot Em Up.

Got my nails filled yesterday after work..I am so girly now. hehe. They look marvelous, dahling's!!!

I worked out my arms yesterday and did my abs in the am. Going to the arts and crafts festy today and will jump on the elliptical before I take off.

Arm workout yesterday:

Cheat curls 75# 20x's
Concentration Curls 40's 3 sets/6 (very hard yesterday to do this..feeling weak)
Zottman Curls 25's 3 sets/8
Tricep Ext with 15's on bench
Side Tri Rise 16x's each side
Tricep work off chair..Arnold style (lol) with 15# db to each arm
 
Good Morning, I have some house cleaning to catch up around here today. Dil is bringing my bunny home this afternoon. My grandson wanted to keep him another day. Poor bunny will be bored when he gets home. Dil said he sat in the beanbag chair with my grandson while he(grandson) played video games. I am going to do some cardio and abs today. BBL

Good morning!

I was considering doing BM2 today but then someone on that BM2 discussion on OD mentioned that you're so tired after all the cardio that it's hard to do the weights and she'd rather do the Gauntlet if she's going to spend the time. What do you guys think of that one? I haven't decided if I'm going to do either, but if you were to choose between those two? I'm thinking b/c there's leg work in the Gauntlet maybe I'd do that one. Of course I better have some energy! :)

I've got lots to do today. Making birdie bread is top on my priority list since I'm out and I need to make sure that our birdies have lots while we're away. I'm also going to make something "chicken" for today, some turkey chili for the crockpot for tomorrow and the next day (and maybe, just maybe the next day) and then I don't really have to worry about much else this week. Also we just got a new Kohl's that opened last week and I'm pretty sure I must go there. :p

Been really buily and have not been on much.. to post..
I did Pyramid total body last night and heading to do Tracys abs and cardio coach something.I have to look at them to decide..

Seven springs started the Octoberfest this weekend, so we are gonna run up. Has a big craft show ,animals and some things for kids. Gonna take the GS up. May do some x-mas shopping if there are some good crafters this year...

Oh, my zoning went through.. I am heading onto the next step..
Think i am going custom modular.. The blue prints are gonna cost me 15 grand otherwise. That is just insane..

I liked this alot. The porch looks nice for deco and a few chairs..
What ya think???Going to talk to the man in the morning..I am going to do the front in brick and have a front entrance, but it looks more homey ... Some shrubs in the front will do it justice..

This morning was cardio. First cardio since I can't remember when. Had a great workout but my stupid HRM would not work. I was so mad. Time for new batteries and I hope that works. During the workout I know my HR hit around the 160's and that damn monitor was reading 74 bpm. And it stayed at that reading for more then 3 minutes so I finally just took the stupid thing off and did the workout without it. I get so stressed when that thing doesn't work right that I can't keep my mind on the workout. I even tried using my treadmill's HRM after the first interval of a 3 minute hill climb and that stupid thing read 44 bpm. WTF??????? Talk about irritating.

Anyways, I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candance. I really love this workout. The only stats I have are from my treadmill and they aren't too accurate but it's what I'll use today:

55 minutes
352 calories burned.

Lora - I will NEVER understand why you get up so early. Boggles the mind. Great workout!

Char - Nice workout! 75# cheat curls? Holy crap!!! I'd love to see you do those girl! You are strong.

Diane Sue - I have the Clean Eating book from Oxygen as well. I thought I remembered you saying you had Tosca's book. It must have been someone else.

Suz - I think I'd do BM2. For some reason the Gauntlet has never been one of my favorites. Enjoy whichever you choose, though! And I love shoot. Use to do it all the time. Need to get back into it.

Anne - That house is beautiful. I love the porch wrapped around it like that. Very nice.

Penney - I hope you are feeling better!! Hugs girl!!!

Suz - good for you planning your eating week out. No wonder you're so thin! I'm still jealous of your weight. I need to get my jaw wired shut.

Deb - It's too hard for me to change sleep schedules...so I stay on the one I'm used to and when I get a job...it's the one I need to be on. If you ever get a chance - check out the HRM at www.GoPhysical.com. I have been using the Mio's now for a while and really like them. They now have a model that has both the chest strap and the option to take your HR on the watch (like the one I have). It's called Mio Ultimate and it's $140. It's the one I wanted to order, but since I'm not working, I had to buy the cheaper model with the basic features and it only takes the HR on the watch and no strap. Next time, I'm getting the Ultimate!

Diane Sue - are you glad to be home? Sounds like you're keeping busy.

Charlotte - go .....girlie girl with those nails. What colour are they?

There's a Health Club in town that's hiring. I'm going to fill out an application tomorrow. Let's hope that secretarial experience and a passion for exercise can at least get me a job there at the front desk. I'm not going to get my hopes up cuz there are SO MANY people looking for work here. Another GE plant just closed and 130 people are losing their jobs in town. It's depressing.

Not sure if anyone here cares, but I ordered a Linear traction Pillow from www.Arc4life.com. The reviews for people with neck/shoulder issues sound really good and it has a 30 day guarantee. I've been having horrid shoulder/neck/trap pain this past week and it's slightly different than my normal pain so I'm a bit concerned and willing to try this pillow. Hope it helps. I have a new HRM on order also...as mine is on it's last leg.
 
Storm - I LOVE it! I can totally see it decorated for all of the holidays from fall through Christmas. And then you can serve lemonade to waiting customers in the summer. NICE! Have fun today. Great workout - FORTY FIVE MINUTE ABS??????? Congrats on the weight loss. I'm tellin' ya - the only way I think I was able to do it was with DH gone for 3 months.

Debbie - I wonder if your body chemistry has something going on that causes you to have problems with HR monitors? You seem to have a lot of trouble with them. I do off and on, but you really seem to struggle with them. Or is it just when the battery is dying? You know how some people can't wear watches? I wonder. Great workout anyway. That one and PP are my favs. Thanks for your vote on the workout. :)

Lora - Wow, that's tough with so many people in your area losing their jobs. Good luck at the fitness center. And good luck with your new pillow. I hope it works for you. I care. :) We all care. We don't want you to be in pain.

I have made the birdie bread (2 pans of it) and the turkey chili. I don't have everything for the chicken stuff for dinner, so I need to go grocery shopping. And of course Kohl's is on the way. And I have to color my hair today. And I still need to work out. And I need to start packing since I have to work M-W and won't have much time. It's 10:40 so I guess I should get moving.

I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and did the abs and stretch from Step Jump and Pump. Added some weight to the abs. I like those planks. Seemed easy though after doing them on the bosu with Bosu Blast.

Lora, thanks for the link for the hr monitor. I hope to get one some day.

Debbie, I know if I use the hand hr monitor on my treadmill I can have just run 8mph and it will say 59. I have to use the chest strap to get a more accurate reading. Sorry you had to mess with that. I lose my focus when I am dealing with something like that. I didn't know the clean eating cookbook was out yet. I wonder if it is all new recipes or a lot that are in the magazines. It is nice having them all in one place though.

Anne, I love the porch. That is going to be so nice when you are done. It will be so nice for customers that are waiting to be able to enjoy being outdoors. I bet it will be so fun to decorate. I was thinking you could have a drink machine and coffee so they could sit outside and relax while waiting. I love that ab workout of Tracey's. I always feel like I hit them pretty well by the time I am done.

Lora- Hope that pillow helps you. We don't want you in pain.:) You must be one busy girl if 'sleeping in" till 3:30 am doesn't give you enough time for a full workout. I also don't know how you function on so little sleep. I need my sacred 8-9 hrs. or I'm a mess.:)

Diane Sue- Awe the Bunny sounds so cute with the grand kids. I bet they just love it.

Suz- Gosh, I was gonna say "gaunlet" LOL! I like that one (at least I think I do) The weather this weekend wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. The mountains got snow, but not quite down to the foothills. Just drizzley rain all weekend. It is chilly though. I haven't paid close enough attention, so, where are you going and for how long? I've shot guns with Dh on occasion and I pretty much suck at it. It's kind of fun though in a terrifiying sort of way. Except the hitting in the glasses kinda stuff.:p

Anne- Love, love, love it! Like everyone said, it's very inviteing and I love the coffee or lemonade ideas. You must be so excited!

Debbie- Those HRM are a pain! I quit wearing my for most things, only the CC's.

I did not get in my workout today. Just the way the day has turned out. No time. Went to festy. Got a primitive stuffed cat with little witch for Halloween. Just got back from grocery store..gotta go to work now and sell yucky food. :p Holy Hotdogs....
 
Suz - I didn't mean you guys don't care about me being in pain....I meant that nobody else is probably interested in the pillow cuz you all have good necks. Yes, it's bad around here and they closed one of campuses of that Large hospital I used to work at....so tons of medical professionals are searching for jobs here also. The part that really stinks is that I can't seem to get hired in a store even! I don't know what's going on. Did you like that Children's Services job? Was it hard? The Pastor at my church got paperwork from them for a reference on me, so maybe I did good enough on the Excel test.

Dallys - I'm so high maintenance.....my beauty routine takes forever.....but yet, I still look all skaggy!! LOL. Seriously, I don't like working at past 7:00 am for some reason.

Diane Sue - I really wish I'd had the money to buy the Mio Ultimate. The only problems I ever have with my HRM are when they get old and just go from age. Recently, I've been having trouble with my button sticking to take my HR cuz my watch is pretty old and on it's last leg....but other than that, it always works like a charm. The newer models have the battery hatch so at least changing the battery will be easier. The battery doesn't last that long....cuz I use mine monitor a lot............I'm addicted to it.

Diane Sue - I just looked over that M&F Hers rotation again. I'm planning on doing it tomorrow.....but I'm concerned cuz I don't think it looks that hard on paper. Workout A one day and Workout B another day......hardly looks like 2 total body workouts. Do you think I'll be wasting my time doing these? I can't decide. I was going to do what you suggested.....Workout A on Monday, Workout B on Wednesday and a workout of my choice on Friday. Do you think this will be enough weight lifting?
 
Lora, I think it Mon Wed and Fri would be enough. Once you have done it I am sure you will get a feel for how hard it is. You can always repeat the circuits. BTW I got my Villainess box today. I love the texture and feel of the Whipped Sugar Buzz. It smells good. I had to open the soap too:) I have been using Sexy Bath and Body Pumpkin Butter and Soap. So now I will have more than one soap open. I bet the Marshmallow would smell good.

You still up???? I did my Sean Cardio Coach #6 at 10pm, after work. I burned 418 cals as I traveled 4.5 miles. I am off to shower now and beddy bye. Goodnight, and sweet dreams.
