Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday Nov 4

Today is my rest day. It is hard for me to take a rest day with all of these new workouts waiting to be tried out. I woke up early too because I forgot to set the clock back. I will check back later.

Lora, I will be interested to hear what you think of the Hi/Lo workout.

I ended up doing Amy's new Hi/Lo Dome cardio portion. I only did the first 3 combos and repeated the last combo and a couple of the intervals. I really liked the intervals...although my feet were bothering me and my shoes (newer Mizuno's) were rubbing on my bunions and I had a hard time today. I hope now that they are broke in, they didn't stretch out too much and this is going to be a problem....or it might just be my feet are so sore from being on them constantly when I'm not used to it. Workout was 1 hour and 6 minutes and I burned 519 calories. I wanted to do yoga and the Dome portion of the workout, but I didn't get up early enough and I've got to go to work later.

I liked Amy's workout but I will need to do it a few times. It's a bit to catch on to. Not as bad as the step, but still coreographed. I liked the music on this one better than the other one so far. I wish my shoes weren't bothering me so I could have enjoyed it more.

Today I'm doing kick box and legs and abs 4DS. Diane Sue I'll be starting your rotation for premixs towards the end of next week or beginning of next week. I like yours because it's tougher}( }(
If you decied to make a full month of it let me know I'm sure you could make it tough!!

Well, i did a slo mo premix..The long one. Maybe if i do the splits. Not sure if i like it. Alot of the exercises had my lower back hurting . Never had that problem with Cathe's.I even lightened them up after the back pulling..
Gonna do some cardio later..

Hurt my neck doing ab work from LIC So I did that one since alot of bouncing would hurt my neck. Then shoulders and calves
I hate having a stiff neck! I've been really irritable the past 2 days I dont know if they started me on a new anti deppresent or what.

Randi heat it out. No cure for stiff neck. Time.I think it is a pulled muscle spasm..
I hate them too.
Watch them anti depressants. Some can make you worse..
MAybe some PMS. I had it last week. Could have bounced my head off the walls..

I just completed BBC shoulders and back. I really liked this one. I LOVED the standing abs. I am surely gonna feel that tomorrow. I think working my obliques is one of my favorite things. I love putting my hands on my waist and feeling that muscle. I did not get my run in with my cousin this morning, because I got home at midnight from work, then the boys didn't sleep well, so I didn't sleep well. And she could only do it at 9. And you all know how I need some major wakeup time and breakfast before I work out.
SO, off to grocery store and then work after I shower. Gotta drop the boys off at their dads. Not really in the mood to deal with that, but I get the boys back after work. I atleast know the boys love it, so that is what is important.
Wow, I am babbling!

Hey Maniacs!!!

Today I am resting. Going to a movie with family. Forgot what it is called. It is a guy movie..maybe that is why I forgot. lol

Tomorrow out to dinner with dh....ALONE! lol. I have to go to court tomorrow too when my dd's car was wrecked by her kid friend. Not looking forward to this..can't wait to get it over with.

Debating on whether or not I should really work outside of the home afterall. Might have to make some adjustments to make it work, if so. Hard to find a good job around here. I did kinda like working at Tastee Greez. Not anymore though. lol.

Forgetting to post eats.....

Meal 1: Kelloggs High Protein Cereal with Tazo Refresh Tea
Meal 2: Protein Bar
Meal 3: Yogurt with nuts, Cabbage Roll, Salad, Garden Chips dipped in cheese sauce (yowza) lol, lots of red grapes, red hot candies (6 candies in the bag)
Meal 4: Protein Shake
Meal 5: Meat Veggie
 
Meg - I hope you're right about the work schedule. I've worked 8:00 to 4:30 for 25 years! I am a VERY routine person. I'm having a tough time. How about being on your feet......will I get used to that too? My feet hurt! I also miss my movies on the weekends. My DH even said he doesn't like me being out of the house in the evenings and that the house seems empty and he's usually griping for me to go away!

I'm just getting ready to leave for my crappy job. I get bored when we're not busy too! I can't stand it....time goes soooooooooooo slow.

See you maniacs in the AM. I'm off tomorrow and have TONS of stuff to do.
 
Been having a pleasant day with family. Went to lunch with one of my dd and her family. Bought a new camera at Circuit City. DH and I have been watching movies. Just lazing around today.
I did not eat any breakfast. Just coffee. Was pretty hungry after church but don't think I did bad at the resaurant. Glad they don't sit out a bread basket:D
Lunch was a vegetable soup and salad with light ranch dressing
I did eat the piece of garlic bread. This was at the restaurant.
Dinner is salad with fat free low sodium dressing.
Snacks were 1/2 cup peas and a chocolate mousse I made from the South Beach parties and Holidays cookbook. I left out the nuts so it was basically a ricotta chocolate mouse with coconut.

Randi, I would repeat that rotation for 2-4 weeks. Just do a different circuit each week. I like hitting lower body more than once a week.

Lora, I am sure you will get used to the changes in your work hours. I used to have to change my workouts around when dh was on monthly rotating shifts, I did daycare and had my family at home. That was probably the worst that I had to work around. I like things neat and in order. Feel grumpy when someone alters my routine. My youngest daughter is the same way, so when I call her with something and she says it is her day to clean house I understand what she is saying.

Anne, I will be starting Slo Mo next week. I did the Hi/Lo Dome yesterday. I will say my low back was sore as well as legs. Not really bad though. I figured it was from tossing the dumbbell around.(I do this in core work with no problem thoug) Whenever I do a workout that hits the low back and the moves are fast paced I tend to over do it. Cathe's Pyramid lower and Power hour almost always give me low back pain. I think a lot is due to me wanting to go heavier and losing my control. I am a lot more careful than I used to be though.

Suz, I was wondering what kind of sewing machine you use and what you would recommend. One of the best I have ever used was a Bernina. Had an old Singer Touch and Sew that was really good and user friendly. DD wants to buy one and I need something besides the one my other dd gave me( I think so I can mend things for her) It is a very basic Pennys and leaves me very frustrated. Buttonholes and extras are not an option. I had a Necchi for years as well and really liked it. I figured since you are really into sewing you could help me. I have been chosen by my grandson for a Christmas tree Costume for a play. With the machine I have it sounds like my nightmare. But those cute faces ask and I do it anyway.

Diane Sue - you don't have any problems with your feet sliding around and rubbing on your bunions in your Mizunos? I wonder if mine stretched out after they broke in and are too big now? I wish I still had the box, etc. I'm not sure I can wear them after today's workout. Just saw my schedule at work and she has me working all 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shifts.......great! I hope I can get used to it. I know what you mean about scheduled days to do things.
 
Lora, when I first put on my Mizunos I thought oh, oh they are to small. I wore them around and waited. They are just right now. Didn't you exchange yours for a larger size? I keep my boxes and receipts for several months before I throw them out. I would think 3-11 wouldn't be too bad as far as working out. At least it is not graveyard!! Have you talked to your doctor about shoes and over pronating? This is another pair of shoes that I have had my eye on for overpronators. I like the color. I hate so much white on my shoes. They do have a predominantly white pair and a grey pair. http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7340159/c/39516.html On reviews I read that some were happy with the wider toe box. I think if your feet were doing better wearing the Mizunos then it is probably standing for long periods of time at work. That would bother a lot of peoples feet even without having foot problems.
