Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday March 25

Cathlete
Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster followed by Tae Bo Amped Core Express - total of 56" with cool down and Cathe stretch and burned 398 calories. I listened to my own music for Tae Bo and didn't want to stop but I'm trying to cut down on my aerobic time, as I think I've got to trick my body a bit or it will expect the longer times continuously. I will start Barry's Bootcamp tomorrow and the cardios are relatively 20-30 long .......so that should shock me even further. I'm going to try to only add on yoga and Fluidity, etc.

I also did I Sculpt Ballet 1 (that a fellow VFer was kind enough to burn to CD for me). It was 45" and was relatively tough.....maybe harder than Fluidity, but my butt is already feeling more compact from the Fluidity. Noticed it yesterday during that YBB workout when we put our hands back there for a move. I finished off with Yoga Shakti from the matrix, Dancing Warrior 4, Standing Pose flow 1, Backbend Prep, Supine Poses, Forward bends and twists, inversions and shavasa. I left my HR monitor run until the end of I Sculpt Ballet and it said I burned 580 calories - but I'm sure most of it was afterburn from the cardio.

Dallys- wow -- you stayed at the Venetian?? You must be rich! That is my FAVORITE hotel in Vegas. I love the food there. We usually stay at Harrah's which is sort of next door and always walk over for our meals there!! This time we're staying at the Flamingo Hilton. Never stayed there before but this is a super bargain trip since I'm not working yet. It is, however, close enough to walk to the Venetian for food and those massage chairs in that Brookstone store in the shops in there!! :)

Suz - I hope God gets to working on tha job situation soon. There hasn't even been any jobs in the paper for the last 3-4 weeks. I love being home, but I get too used to it and then it's way too hard to go back. I'd rather go back sooner than later. Did you see the post last week about my old boss? She got fired and was escorted out by Security. I just found out. I called her at home to chat briefly and see how she was doing. She was a good person at heart! She got a year's severance pay out of them and her health benefits for a year plus $5000 cash. I think they made her promise not to sue them in exchange. She had an attorney and was threatening lawsuit....I guess.

Have a great workout or rest day everyone. We're going to the el-cheapo theatre today to see Breach.

Morning ladies.
Deb, congrats... My scale is not budging right now and it bums me ...
I have been eating less ans workingout hard..
Oh, well..
No workouts the last 2 days.Tired , buisy at work and cranky...I just can't get out of there lately. Like 9-7.I hate to say no, due to the amt of competition in town, but, i would like to live too...Not work constantly. People do not understand.

Dallys, i am disappointed that i am not going , but i can blow the money elsewhere, like shopping...botox. lol....After i get the taxes paid. I quit fretting there. I am slapping it on the line of credit. The interest is deductable and i will finish paying for it in the next couple months.

I think the p90x drink is chalky. I gagged. I like the cherry liquid protien at GNC.I pur some in my propell. It is like cool aid. It to me tastes like unsweetened kool aid..

I am heading down shortly..

I think i am going to attempt GS chest and tri. Not sure . Doc says i will be fine...Maybe cardio..

Yesterday was out anniversary, so we are going out later. I told him Red Lobster will be fine. I want crab legs...We were going to try thr new train station, but, what if it is bad...Stick with what i do like. Maybe a movie. OH, god like a real date and day out...

Check back later,

Deb - I mentioned it last night briefly. It was very good. Mark Wahlberg was excellent in it. We both really liked it. Two thumbs up from Cooper & Cooper.

Lora - I thought that would be a good movie. I want to see it. I love Mark!

Today was Back, Biceps and Forearms and I had an excellent workout. Very draining but I did something I never thought I'd be able to do - Wide Grip Pullups!!!!

Back:
Wide Grip Pullups: 2/2 - Only 2, but I was shocked that I was able to do that! These HURT! I could feel muscles in my chest and lats work hard, it felt awesome!

Close Grip Pullups: 8/4½ - I was shocked I got 8 out after doing the wide grip ones

Barbell Rows: 65# for 10 reps then dropped the weight to 45# and did 10 more for the 1st set. 2nd set was 10 with 65# and 8 with 45#

Pullovers: 40# - did 10 reps then dropped to 28# and did 10 more reps

Biceps:
Barbell Curls: 55# - 8 reps + 3 negatives for 1st set; 8 reps + 2 negatives with 2nd set

EZ Preacher Curls: 45# - 8 reps + 3 negatives

Concentration Curls: 25# - 8 reps the dropped to 17# and did 7 more reps

Forearms:
Wrist Curls (overhand grip): 10's - did 10 reps then dropped to 5's and did 15 reps for 1st set; 10's - did 10 reps then dropped to 8's for 10 more reps

Underhand Wrist Curls: 15's - 10 reps then dropped to 10's for another 12 reps. Did this twice.

I'm pretty fried, I like this week's workout and the way they have it laid out. Its really confusing my body.

Hope you all have great workouts!

Deb - you're on fire with your rotations! You're doing awesome. I wish I could get into working out without guidance!

Dallys- meant to mention ..............2 hour bike ride!!! WOWZA You must be a hardcore biker. I think I'd die or my sciatica would kill me from it. I don't know why but our stationary bike in the basement flares my sciatica.

Meg - are you around???? listen to track 10 on TimeBomb....it's slow but I think you might like it.

Deb - you're tearing those weights up! I wish I had the ability to work out on my own and not be all scattered. I have liked Mark in everything he's ever been in. He's really done quite well in the movies IMO.

Dallys- kick butt bike ride yesterday!! WOWZA!!

Ok, did gs chest and tri. it is going to be a while before i am back to where i was.I am only allowed knee push ups for now. I am not actulally allowed over 20 on chest and i did 2-12's. It felt really wierd and pully, but not painful. Guess i will get used to it.
I did kickin core beach body. No like. Too dancy for me. i like workin out not dancin out. One for e-bay i guess...

Dallys, i am tweaking the cookies. I am using pineapple, splenda for sugar and another cup of whole wheat flour(too much pineapple) and frozen rasberries. I did use brown sugar. I just can't get past the beans. I hate the smell of those beans. I can't eat them. DH likes them.
I am making them in cupcake containers.
Let ya now...May turnout like carrot cake.
Well, gonna bake and bath and go to dinner.
10 min and not done. I think i just invented a new muffin. LOL...
Hello everone.
Have a great day...

Dallys,
Ok, you have to try the recipe with pineapple instead. 1 extra cup of flour. I used whole wheat and the sugar i used splenda.I also threw in 1 cup frozen rasberries. It tool 22 min to bake in a 350 oven in cupcake liners 3/4 full.

Hey Maniacs! Rest day for me today.:)

Anne-So, you used Pineapple in place of the beans? Did you like them? Funny, I'm just getting ready to make these cookies again today. I'm sticking with the beans though.:) Yours will be the muffin version.:) I'll try that sometime.

Lora- Definitely not rich here. Sadly, we are more of the paycheck to paycheck penny-pinching type people. We only stayed one night at the Venetion and split the room with my DD and SIL. We did eat there and they do have fantastic food! The bike ride was pretty good. I wonder if your sciatia would be better on a real bike, because you are not set in the same position. You move your body more and can get up of the seat. You know what I mean? I will tell you that Mt. biking is by far the hardest workout I've ever done. But, it's so fun that you don't really think about it.

Debbie- Great job on the wide grips! When I was heavy into pullups, I never got past 3 wide grips. They are very hard!

Gotta run...Dh has breakfast ready! He's been cooking so much lately that last night he said he is tired of being my B*tch! ROFL!

Afternoon Maniacs!!!

Did Imax 2 this morning. I had champagne, beer and chocolate yesterday at party so I HAD to do Imax! The scale was plain evil tis morning...120! Egads for me! Had lots of fun at party. People were dressed up..men in ties and women in dresses/slacks. Hubby and I showed up in jeans and Hollister T-Shirts! lol. I am really laid back, and besides was just a birthday party for goodness sakes..no one got married or died! lol.

We got back from our trip this afternoon. We had a really good visit with my Dad. One of my brothers was able to be there yesterday. I am getting everything cleaned and put away. Dogs are bathed since one was outside quite a lot more than at home. We kind of dumped things from the trailer to the house and went to get our dogs. I think they are happy to be home. Lying at our feet right now. I did my ab work in the trailer on Friday. I can not wait to get back into my routine tomorrow. I would say most of my eating was pretty good except for some lasagne and a couple of slices of pizza.

Lora, I was glancing over the posts and I am so sorry about Pandora. My heart goes out to you. I know this is rough. I think it will be good for you to have a vacation to focus on.
