Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday April 1

Cathlete
Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cardio Coach 1 on the Treadmill followed by CIA - Amazing Stepping with Nekea Brown - Interval Step workout for a total of 70" aerobics. I burned 530 calories. I also did 2 Lotte Berk Blasts, 1 from High Round Assets and one from Basic Essentials and then Eion Finn's Pure and Simple Yoga (40").

I didn't really care for the music in this CIA workout as much as the other CIA's, however, once I did it -- I realized the music does really go with the steps. It was reminiscent of Cathe's step moves. It was easy enough to follow that you could really work it.....but had enough in it to keep it from being boring. I really liked the workout a lot more than I thought I would. The music was like a Latin Dance type Ariba!!

Deb & Dallys - does your new heart rate monitor show the percentage level of your heartrate also, as well as weight, resting heart rate settings?? Mine does, but after referring to the chart that Dallys posted the other day, if I'm figuring correctly, my HR monitor percentages differ slightly from what I figured out on the calculator Dallys linked us to the other day. My HR monitor has my age, Female, weight and resting HR set in it.....so I'm confused as to why they would differ. At any rate, I stepped it up a bit with my aerobics today.

Toasty & any other BPAL Ladies - forgot to mention that the Lunar Update is live - Milk Moon with the April Fool's Limited Editions -the MonsterBaits. Monster Baits are fun, slightly foody oils.

I'm excited, as there is FINALLY a good medical job in the paper. I am qualified in all but one area. The job is with Akron Children & Babies Hospital which is the largest Children's Hospital in NE Ohio. It is in a local office. Wish me luck with getting an interview. Up to this point, there hasn't been anything for the last month or so.

Have a great day everyone. I'll be around later. The movies really stink this weekend so I won't even mention them!

Goodmorning. I am planning on a run outside since it is so nice. But I have to take the kids to a bday party and do more housework first. I had great DOMS from my WO Friday. Still feeling it in my chest and bis.
Lora- good luck with job, and thanks for the update on the BPALs. Enjoy your day.

Ane- I am with you on the Italian Stallion. I think he is hot, always have. LIke those muscley guys!
Hope you feel better.

DS- I hope to get back on the right track. Glad I have a computer now to check in daily for my motivation. It is amazing how things can throw your life off balance. I am not so sure things will be better soon, but I hope to look to you guys daily for my exercise motivation. THanks. Enjoy your day.

I also would like to work my legs a bit too. Abs and yoga would be most excellent. SO my friend thinks my hard drive might be totally shot! The computer is just over a year old. I hope he can fix it, since I don't have $400-500 for a new one. I will keep this laptop as long as I can. I actually do have a lot of Fire dept work to do. Our annual banquet is in a month and I have to the invites, fliers, and pamphlets, and awards! Better get crackin on that!

This morning was the same as yesterday only working Back, Biceps and Forearms. Good Lord! I'm glad there is only one week like this because I could not do this even one more week. Very exhausting. Workout was 1 hr. and 45 min. I probably should have split this up and did Back in the a.m. and Biceps in the p.m. but you all know how I feel about working out in the p.m.

5 sets with 8/10 reps again, 2 minutes rest which I truely needed. I drank 48 oz. of water throughout this workout. This is what I did:

Back:
Wide Grip Pullups: 3/2½/2 !!!
Close Grip Pullups: 5/4
(***If my chest wasn't so sore from yesterday I know I could have done more here)

Barbell Rows: 60# 5 sets/10 reps
T-Back Squeeze: Purple Band w/5's in each hand - 5 sets/10 reps
Pullovers: 35# - 1 set/10 reps; 37# - 4 sets/10 reps

Biceps:
Barbell Curls: 50# - 10/10/8/8/8/8 (this was 6 sets! I almost died and I REALLY HATE barbell curls!)
EZ Preacher Curls: 40# - 5 sets/10 reps
Concentration curls: 20# - 3 sets/8 reps; 15# - 2 sets/10 reps

Forearms:
Overhand Wrist Curls: 10's - 5 sets/10 reps

Did the stretch from GS Back, Bi's and Shoulders. My chest is so tight from yesterdays workout and my entire upper body is going to be tight by this evening.

I had my dh measure my bicep and I'm at 13" now! Woo Hoo!!!!

Hope you all have a great day and great workouts! Oh, and the pizza made me sick all night. I had horrible stomach aches all night. I was so pissed!
