Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday 9-16

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did my Jillian Circuit Backside. I used 6 pounds on my back for plank holds but could only hold 30 seconds and then did twisting planks without the weight. I did Cathe's stretch from Muscle Max. Workout was 1 hour 20 minutes and I burned 440 calories. These circuits are getting harder and longer. I may not have time to do the longer cardio intervals during the work week. It looks like they go up to 2 minute cardio intervals in the last week. My body is beat and I can't wait until I'm done with these!

I also did Yoga Fit Yoga for Cyclists - 35 minutes and added on Ravi and Ana's Diegestible You (10") from Yoga Quick Fixes.

Diane Sue - where did you get those running shoes? Are they better than Saucony's running shoes? I love my Saucony Grid Tangent shoes cuz they have a slipper like fit on the foot and are like a little bootie that fits the foot snugly and they have a LOT of forefoot cushioning. I'll have to check out those Mizuno's.

Have great workouts or rest days. I'm grateful that I don't have to do the job search thing today. That was getting so depressing on Sunday mornings.

Good morning maniacs!

It's been a busy couple of days. I had so much to do at work Friday and then DH and I left for Ft. Collins right after I got off of work at 2 and then yesterday we went and spent waaay too much on fall cycling clothes at Sierra Trading Post and I also got a couple of cool sweaters. Then we all took my mom out for her 76th birthday. She doesn't seem 76. It's crazy. My sister and I are both 45 right now - for 2 months - because we're 10 months apart. My sister will turn 46 in the middle of October. That's always kinda fun. :) My poor mom when I was born! :p

Friday I didn't have any DOMS from Hot & Heavy. Darn! And I lifted as heavy as Cathe and sometimes heavier (when she went down on a rep and I stayed). Oh well. Friday I had a dentist appt. at 8am so I rode in the basement. Yesterday was a day off and I haven't decided today's workout yet. It was really windy yesterday so DH & I didn't ride. It's supposed to be like that again today, so I'll wait and see. I might have to do something different.

You all have a great day! It's football around here. Broncos vs. Raiders (and of course every other single game that's on). I will be trying to finish the dress I started. That's one way to get clothes that fit properly.

Good morning

Today is my rest day....but I'm planning on doing some yoga.

Started a good bood yesterday... will be reading that too. "Midnights Children".

Have a great Sunday
:)

Good Morning, today is my rest day. I am getting ready to go to church this morning.

Lora, I got my Mizuno Renegades at Zappos.com. You can read the reviews there. I always read all of the reviews to see if others are looking for what I am. I have several pair of Saucony's and have always liked them. The pair that I was wearing for running was the Saucony Stabil MC 5. I noticed that my bunion was getting worse and started researching shoes. The mizuno style I got were recommended for maximum over pronators. From what I read plantar fasciitis and bunions can be caused by overpronating feet.

Suz, sounds like you had a fun weekend so far. That is funny that you and your sister are the same age for a couple of months.

This morning I did APX's lower body nrg premix. It was longer than I thought - it included multi-joint and core. I didn't have enough time for cardio afterwards so I did Rainbeau Mars Pure Tranquility. Tomorrow I plan on doing Step Sweatfest or MIC or some other 60 min cardio workout.

Lora - congrats on finding a job. I currently hate my job but I must not hate it too much because I'm just not motivated enough to search for something new. The thought of interviewing just scares the crap outta me. Good for you.

WD and Lisa - enjoy your rest days.

Suz - DH just spend a lot of money at REI. But he did have a few gift cards. Still, it's important to stay warm. I don't participate in any outdoor activities. I'm such a wimp! P.S. - I never get DOMS with S&H, but I get DOMS with Body Max 2's upper body segment. Go figure.

Have a great day, maniacs!!:)

This morning was Legs and the last day of my 8 week rotation. I have decided to take a week off from weight lifting because I haven't since about 12 weeks ago and I think I'm due. Plus my left forearm is hurting, I pulled something in it yesterday when I worked back and shoulders. I will do two days of cardio and ab work next week, though, so it won't be a total rest week.

1:30 rest between everything
Legs
Squats:
65# - 20 - ATG
85# - 15 - Parellel
95# - 12/12/12 - Parellel

Leg Extensions:
70# - 15
90# - 12/12

90# - 8/8/8 - PB since injury
***These felt good today. I'm psyched that I'm up to 90# already!

Static Lunges:
95# - 8/8/8
***Same as last week. I love doing lunges.

Hamstring Curls:
55# - 10/10/10
***These were hard for some reason today. I struggled on the last set.

Calfs
Barbell Calf Raises - NO REST:
115# - 20 w/toes forward
115# - 20 w/toes out
115# - 20 w/ toes in
1 min. rest
105# - 20 w/toes forward
105# - 20 w/toes out
105# - 20 w/ toes in
***These were painful. LOL!

That is all!

Hope you all have great workouts and a beautiful Sunday!

Morning Maniacs! I never made it on my bike ride yesterday. Dh procrastinated all day and we never made it. I'm getting ready to go for a ride today in just a bit. We will go up in the canyon for a good hard ride.

Lora-Those circuits get real tough and long in the last week. I think I cut out some of the cardio sections at times.

Marcia- I have a Racer-X Mt. Bike. It's like a Porche compared to my previous bikes! LOVE it!

Debbie- Be careful with that forearm! THAT'S how my tennis elbow started!!! I felt a slight pull in my forearm one day and waaalaa...Tennis elbow for life.

Suz- Football for us today too. We've been watching College ball too. I almost thought you were a twin for a sec.:) I have a 15% off coupon at a Pearl Izumi outlet and I'm can't wait to go shopping! Need some long pants and some gloves.

Lisa- Enjoy your rest day. What is "Midnights Children" about? I need to start reading again. Need a good book.

Diane Sue- Enjoy your rest day too!

Where is Char and Meg and Anne?

Dallys - I got one Pearl Izumi short sleeved jersey yesterday. It was in what they call the "Thirds". That's where people return stuff they've worn and return for whatever reason so they discount it pretty good and you can buy it but can't return it. You would be AMAZED at what they take back. People will wear shoes until they are completely worn out and then return them. And STP takes the stuff back!!! And then put it out to sell! There was a shirt with a cigarette burn in the sleeve and they took it back and try to sell it! This Pearl Izumi jersey looked like it had been worn a little - a few snags - and then they must have decided they didn't want it anymore. It was $20 - compared to probably $60+ new. I'm not proud - I don't care. :) It has a great zippered back pocket and that's all I care about. Oh, and it fits. I just can't believe people can return stuff in the condition they do and then sleep at night.

Hey Maniacs! We went on a 2 1/2 hr. bike ride in the canyon and it was GEORGOUS! The leaves are at their peak in beauty. The air was cool and we had a fantastic ride. We did take an alternate route and ended up really "toning into" our downhill-skills! Oy! We won't take that one again. LOL! Dh was camera happy and took some pics, so I'll post some tommorrow. It's just sick how beautiful it was!!!

Suz- It's crazy what some people dare take back isn't it? Like, have some pride or something, will ya? LOL! Nice to get a bargain though. Bike clothes cost a frikkin' fortune!

Randi-It's great you are liking this rotation so much.:)
