Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Saturday March 22

Morning Maniacs -

This morning was supposed to be a rest day...so I did some light aerobics. I just got my new CIA's yesterday and the dance ones never really get my HR up that high....so I did CIA Carlos' Latin Xplosion Dance workout. If I knew it, I'd have probably got my HR up higher but since I was learning.....my HR stayed in the 70-75% range. This was fun. I love latin dancing and already know the Salsa and Meringue...but we learned the Socco (spelling), Rumba and some different steps. This had some athletic moves thrown in and some fun jumping ...crazy carnivale like dancing ...shaking your arms, with high side to side skips. Really a unique workout. The background exercisers were weird though and I couldn't look at them. I had to keep my eyes on Carlos. Workout was 53" with a short ab segment and I burned 400 calories (my abs were already fatigued from yesterday).

I previewed parts of the rest of my CIA's and if anyone's interested, Amy's looks good (she's a true maniac). Hers is a mix of Hi/Lo and kickbox. Sharon Money-Twombly's is an athletic cardio step workout that looks good. The Tapless Step workout looks really fun.....but a little complex with the footwork....probably will take a while to learn...we shall see. Gay Gaspers is her traditional style of stepping that is just moderate in complexity. The music isn't as good as last years. I"m a little bummed about that cuz I loved the music last year. I'll be able to tell more as I do them.

I also did 20" on my Pilates Reformer (basic routine) and Gentle Vinyasa Flow Yoga 50".

Have a great day everyone. My shoulders are still flaring up. Next time, I increase my weight with presses...I think I'll just try it for a couple reps per set or one set only instead of the entire workout. Live and learn. Have great workouts or rest days.
 
Good Morning, I slept in this morning. I am getting ready to do Tracey's Walking Strong, some abs, and Spinervals Flexible Warrior Yoga Run segment. I have a Mary Kay party to go to this afternoon and prep work for our family gathering and egg hunt tomorrow.

Lora, I am looking forward to Amy's new workouts. I ordered both which she was starting shipping yesterday.

Today I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace. Had an excellent workout. Now I'm done until Tuesday! Woo hoo! I will enjoy my rest week.

I finished my workout. I did Walking Strong and stayed on the treadmill for 1 hr 8 minutes then did the stretch. I burned 800 calories according to my treadmill.:D I am sure that is not completely correct though. I upped my speed a little this time and stayed at 12 incline(my max) instead of dropping for recovery on some segments. Then I did Pyramid abs using a 10# med ball for all but the pikes, Butts & Guts abs with 5#ankle weights and 8 and 10" dumbbells, finished with flexible warrior run segment. Off to get ready for the party:)

Hey Maniacs!!!

Just finished Imax 2. Working out with family today. Dh on elliptical and son strength training. Close to crying during Imax...not from the hard work, but son mentioned he is not going to prom now cuz the girl he wants to go with, her parents will not let her go. He says he doesn't want to go to his own prom unless she goes with him. *Sad*

Nice workouts everyone! I think I am doing Drill Max on Monday. I feel alittle jiggly and got to get that off.
 
Diane Sue - Wow - great workout. I wish my treadmill inclined more than the 3 lousy settings with a pin!

Toasty - go girl ......way to crush Imax! I know you're turning into a cardio junkie!! Sorry your son is sad.

We went to see that movie Never Back Down (full contact martial arts fight movie). It was pretty good. Enjoyed it. They were working out in the gym with Kettlebells!! My DH didn't believe me when I told him one of the moves is a one armed swing switching hands in mid air......but now he saw it for REAL!!

THAT IS AWESOME...you got to see a movie doing what you do. hehe. Gotta love it! I don't care for martial arts type movies though myself. We are trying to finish season 2 of Lost..down to the last episode.

Oh, yeah...so much easier doing Imax 2 when everyone else is working out around you...practically running into my son has he is walking around me. hehe.
 
I am back from the Mary Kay Party. I stink. Put on way to many fragrances. It was funny because someone was asking about the cellulite cream and the woman was telling her it works and made comment that I had no fat or cellulite on me. I should have told the woman to workout and forget the cream. LOL

Lora, maybe you could hold Light hand weights while walking on your treadmill throughout. It might up the intensity some.

Charlotte, that is sad for your son. He should go anyway. There may be some girl there alone hoping to meet up with a young man:) One of my dd's went with a date that she had broken it off with because it had already been pre-planned. They went their separate ways most of the evening.
