Morning Maniacs -
I've been trying to make my Saturdays a recovery day or rest day since my foot has been broken but with the family picnic going on today, I thought I should do a bit of aerobics. I did Gilad's Elite Forces workout on the Rebounder with my boot on. It's sort of a kickbox workout but he throws in some strength moves and combat moves at the end. Since those slowed my HR down too much, I just jogged and did my own thing on the Rebounder for the last 10-15 minutes. I listened to my own music, Saliva, Survival of the Sickest. Workout was 52 minutes and I burned 338 calories ....keeping my HR in the 70-80% range....nothing too hard. I finished with Amy Bento's 10 Minute Solution stretch with band and then I did Yoga for Health - Headache Session 45".
Deb - I think you might like some of Saliva's music also. Didn't you say you had some of their music? Some of the better songs on Survival of the Sickest (which someone told me I'd like when we were standing in line at the Buckcherry concert talking about music cuz I said I liked the heavier stuff by them and not the ballad's) were the title track - Survival of the Sickest, One Night Only, Carry On, and F* All Y'All. If you wanted a few more kick butt workout songs for your Ipod....maybe you can download those. Just thought I'd share. I don't like it quite as much as Papa Roach...but it's pretty good.
Suz - thanks for the link of the shorts. They are really cute, but how do they help with irritation down there? They don't look padded. What's good about them? Sorry if I sound stupid.....I"m just not knowledgeable about biking shorts. thanks.
Have a great rest day or workout. I've got to get ready for that family picnic.........which I'm not really happy about!
