Good morning!
Lora - Have a GREAT vacation!!!!
Anne - Yeah right - no fat people in LA. Hehehe. Thanks, I've been working HARD to lose the weight.
Char, I'm surprised you're not walking to the new house with the weights, curling all the way. Now that I've given you the idea...
Okay girls, I broke another plateau (okay, so maybe they're not really plateaus after all) and I'm down to 133. Hip hip hooray!!! I've lost 1.5 inches off my hips and 1.5 inches off my waist - this part to me is amazing really. I never lose inches from my hips.
I was playing around last night with the BMI calculator and I can get all the way down to 122 pounds and STILL be within the healthy weight for my height, so I have no idea why my doctor gave me such a stern talking to yesterday. And let me tell you, I could never get down to 122 unless I had my jaw wired shut, TRUST ME on this.
My sister is a medical transcriptionist and she types for a very busy multi-doctor internal medicine group in town and she said that most people's BMI is 30 and over. She said rarely does she type anyone under 30 (my sister's is 20, BTW
). So I think that's just what doctors are used to seeing. When I went to that cardiologist a couple of years ago he said I was the healthiest person he had ever seen and he sent me for an aortal ultrasound and the gals running the ultrasound kept saying "This is so fun, everything is so small and easy to see" so I think they're just used to seeing larger people too maybe when they get to the heart attack stage??? Who knows? It's kind of sad though.
Today I'm going to do a two hour ride with my friend Chris when she gets back from the fertility doctor in Ft. Collins. Hopefully the wind will stay at bay. It's super still right now. But you know how that goes around here. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous. We're supposed to ride tomorrow to, but that depends on what they do to her today.
Off to clean birdie cages...
Happy workouts and happy weekends!
Suz
