Morning Maniacs -

My alarm quit going off so I didn't get up until 4:15 and Saturdays are sort of a busy day for me. I'm only going to do some light cardio and yoga. Wanted to do a long yoga, but not sure I'll have time for that now.

I ended up doing Self's Dance Your Way Slim - lite cardio....nothing spectacular and I couldn't really even push the jumping jack and running bursts, as I'm supposed to be resting my foot today, as it's a recovery day and I have to watch impact on it still. Workout was 50" and I burned 385 calories. HR stayed between 120-135. Nice and easy. I also did Scaravelli Yoga - From the Ground Up. The DVD is 90", but it was so slow moving and took so long to get into poses that I fastforwarded thru the instruction and got done with it in around 60".

Lunch yesterday was eggs & wheat toast, dinner was Alpine Lace Swiss cheese sandwich and green beans. Snack was an apple and a half serviing of Steel Cut Oatmeal (found this at the Barbell store - food section -- only it doesn't taste like any steel cut oats I've ever eaten...tastes more like that Kashi stuff). Breakfast this morning is grape nuts, dried cranberries and Danon Light & Fit Blackberry sugar free yogurt.

Suz & Dallys- Our vet taught us to train our cats with squirt bottles. My DH does it more than I do. I hate squirting them. I guess I'm not a very stern Mommy! The only time I really discipline them is if they are going for my food or chewing on an electrical cord. I don't have the heart....cuz they are too cute. All we have to do is hold the squirt bottle up and they blink their eyes like they're gonna get squirted. My Mom has to keep a squirt bottle on the floor by her bed cuz when she gets up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, her fat cat, Katie, attacks her feet and Katie can be brutal! She draws blood. I'm glad your bird is settling down on the squawking.

Not sure what movie we're going to today. I want to see that Vampire movie 30 Nights or something like that.....but I haven't discussed it with the DH yet. Have great workouts everyone. Enjoy your new Cathe's. I really shouldn't be doing impact on my foot yet, but I might try a cardio one and modify on the Rebounder tomorrow.

Worked out my legs yesterday with weights. Getting bhmmed out cuz my workouts have been shorter cuz I HAVE NO TIME anymore. I don't want to get out of shape. I took my bf measurement cuz it has been a long time (even though the thing is not always accurate), but read 12.9%. My weight is 116. Was 115. So I think I am about the same, but I worry. :p :eek:

Today I got time. HALLLLLEEEELLLUUJAHHH!!!!! Plan is to do cardio coach on elliptical. I worked abs yesterday. DH and I celebrating 20 years of marriage tomorrow at a fancy gathering spot. Someone is going to sing to us. Oy! lol. Next weekend is auction for fil's stuff and then to the mall for shopping. I need more destroyed jeans. I hope I don't just find those ankle grabber kind...YUCK!!!!!!!!!
 
Good Morning, I slept in this morning. I will do a step workout, abs, and yoga. I have some doms in my legs this morning from yesterdays workout.

Lora, glad you found some steel cut oats. I used a water bottle to train my bunny not to chew the furniture. Wires just had to be hidden because he went through them quickly.

Meant to tell you, I tried A Countenance of Foreboding Evil perfume. Smells so similiar to the TAL Bend Over. I didn't like it on my skin. Too much of a dark sinister scent for me to wear..on my skin smells like a woman on her rag without bathing. EW! lol. Khubla Khan (sp?) spells like Prague to me.

Oh yeah..

EATS:

Kelloggs High Protein cereal with a few chips of Garden Harvest (Tomato Basil) Yogurt with nuts in it.

Meal 2: Protein bar with fruit

Meal 3: turkey burger, spinach and sweet potatoe

Meal 4: Protein Shake

Meal 5: Meat and green veggie
 
I forgot to mention my eating yesterday. It was not really good and I did not put it in my foods program. I did not want to store Popeyes Cajun rice in my pda:)

1 coffee, light soymilk,splenda protein smoothie
2 Popeyes Cajun rice and diet dr Pepper
3 another coffee protein smoothie
4 Dinner Macdonalds Southwest salad 1/2 pack dressing and extra salsa
5 snack 2 low carb la tortilla factory torillas with salsa & an orange

This morning I had an excellent workout. I had tons of energy and I feel really good today. I worked Shoulders, Traps and Abs. This is what I did:

Did the ab work from the new Low Intensity Step/Shoulder & Calf workout. I got my new DVD's a couple days ago. Loved this ab work, very good. Burned like crazy!

My meals for yesterday were:

M1: Chocolate Fudge BSN w/ 3/4 c. oats
M2: Vanilla Pro Pudding w/ 2 tbsp. oats & 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
M3: 1 whole egg, 4 egg whites scrambled; 2 tbsp. raw almonds
M4: Greek Yogurt w/ Fresh Cinnamon Roll BSN
M5: Chipolte Tilapia; salad w/light Honey Mustard Dressing
M6: Chocolate Pro Pudding w/ 1 tbsp. power pb & 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed

1648 calories
59 g. fat - 32%
170 g. protein - 41%
110 g. carbs - 27%

Today is my let loose and eat what I want day. Yay!!!!

Going to lunch with my mom. I'm taking her to Pizza Hut. DH and I are going to the movies and out to dinner. Looking forward to it. We are going to go see "The Kingdom". I love Jennifer Garner.

Morning Maniacs! Today is either Bootcamp or Muscle Max, can't decide. Boo is still doing great with minimal squawking. I almost fell over laughing when I walked in the den and dh was pointing the squirt bottle at him with the evil eye. It looked like a western stand off. Who was gonna draw first. LOL!

Diane Sue- I actually have tried that coffee concoction with chai tea! It was really good, but then they quit carrying the low carb chai tea I was using.:(

Eats so far today:

Oats-protein powder-flaxseed-ff milk-frozen berries.

My schedule changed...

driving down road...barbeque chicken for sale. Had that instead of my protein bar.

Rode bike with my son. Went only 10 miles, I think. He is mad at me cuz I didn't wait for him. He is older...17. Tell him to keep at his own pace and go straight. I think he was just too tired to go today and doesn't like having his mom leaving him in the dust. :p
 
Workout today was Kelly Coffey's Ready Step Go, then Power Half Hour Ab Burner, I then did Tracey Staehle's Sweatfest sculpt abs using a 10# dumbbell, finished with Yoga Shatki standing pose flow 1, lunge, inversions, and supine poses(33min). I then went to Michael's craft store and bought pink yarn and a pattern so I can crochet a baby sweater, hat and booties with butterflys on them:)

Debbie, great workout. Do you cycle your calories? I just have mine go up and down depending on how busy I am.

Dallys, I was looking at chai tea in the store that you brew thinking of trying it with the soymilk splenda and protein powder. I was thinking if it was brewed strong enough the spice would come out with the other things. I am always experimenting. LOL

Charlotte, sounds fun riding with your son. Barbecue chicken sounds yummy:)

Sometimes I eat like crazy and sometimes I only eat what is easy and convenient.
