Morning Ladies -

Off to do some yoga and maybe a bit of lite intensity cardio. Not sure yet. The Black Phoenix Yule Update is up. Lots of goodies to choose from and the funds are low.........must look it over for a while.

Morning ladies. No w/o last night. My back was hurting. I think i have a kidney infection.
Bought cranberry conc. pills. Ate some yesterday w/lots of water.
Too much diet squirt i think.Feel better this am, so it must be..
Hoping i kicked it in the butt early..

Meag, Dallys, things are in planning. Blueprints.. I am having Apex Homes do them. Even if i don't use them the prints are only 500 bucks verses 15-20 grand for an artchitect I am trying to match my stations. They may not make my formica anymore. I have had most of it custom made.I may have to mix it with black. I am totally stressed over all of this.They are matching me. Waiting for a call..
New salon will be much nicer. i rent an old building, and put enough into it to make it presentable, but not what i want in floors and decor and walls..Had to work with what i have got..


Everyone is telling me i look skinnier.. I don't see it.. Maybe it is the @@.. LOL..

Diane Sue, i ordered Cathe's and Tracy's. I am thinking of the slim and lean. Unsure if i will like them. I like Tracy so far..
Is Amy still hooting???I could not take it.. I am tasting the new dvd's..

Well, tonite is KPC and i have to get back shoulders and bi in.. Tomorrow will be Leg day..I am so behind this week. But as long as i get the whole body in with weights i am good.

I ended up doing Core Rhythms Meringue Mania - 45 minutes and burned 324 calories. This was a low intensity recovery cardio workout for me. My HR stayed between 120-140. I like Latin Dance....but so far this doesn't have the fun factor of a DVD like Yoga Booty Ballet. Not sure if this is a keeper or not yet. Back in the undecided box it goes with the rest of the iffy ones or untried ones.

I also did Yoga Journal's Great Instructor yoga session from the San Fran Conference with Seane Corn 90". I played my own yoga music as there wasn't any on this. I got a bit antsy doing this long of a practice and fastforwarded thru most of the standing or sitting pauses and a few sun salutations......the finishing poses were held a long time and felt good. This was my first experience with Seane. I liked her .....she's very passionate about what she does and got very emotional at the end and it was touching.

Have great workouts ladies. Off to get my bath and we're going to a movie later. Not sure which one. Since it's my DH's birthday weekend....he's picking the movie today and being the typical Libra he is, he's undecided at this moment.

That is a whole lot of perfume to think about. Gosh..I just checked out the new stuff. Let's see. Angeronalia sounds good....the description I seem to relate to lately. The coffee one in regards to the children in Mexico sounds good as well as Peacock Queen, Snow White and Snowstorm.

Enjoy your movie. At least your hubby is around. I cannot stand the isolation I feel at home lately. Even my dd is not around anymore..she might as well just move out. I could just take off by myself somewhere and get lost...no one would notice I was gone.

Good Morning, I slept in late this morning. I am going to do a step workout, abs and yoga/stretch. May use X stretch. That has some good stretches for for the neck and shoulder area. Still have that crazy headache.

Lora, enjoy your movie. I checked out that pillow. Let me know if you think it is any good. $49 would be worth it if it helps. Dr once told me to roll up a towel and put it under my neck, but it always ended up on the floor by morning. He also told me to get rid of the pillow. I couldn't sleep. I bought one of those that looks like two rolls but it never helped. I sleep on my side. I see the one you got is set up for that too.

Anne, Amy does not whoop in her newer dvd's. APX(lots of different moves) and KPX are my favorites. I am really looking forward to her Slo Mo ones. She is supposed to be using heavy weights in these. Ripped Slim and Lean sort of reminds me of Power hour with the long endless seeming reps.

Charlotte, so sorry you are feeling alone. Yeah, the kids get a life of their own. Big Hug!!

Diane Sue - did you see my post yesterday about the Yoga DVDs too? Just checking cuz I think we posted at the same time yesterday.

Charlotte- sorry you feel so alone. I can't say I'd miss mine if he was working 16 hours! He's kinda grumpy and mean....sooo! I know the update is killing me. I don't have any more money saved....just what's in my Paypal and I'm having a hard time deciding. I know I NEED at least 3 bottles of Snow White....love it and it's not around every year. I like your picks too....just not the rose stuff. I"m not a rose person.

Still can't decide on the movie here. He now asked for my opinion and I only made it worse ...cuz 2 Libra's trying to decide are worse than one!! LOL.
 
Had an EXCELLENT workout this a.m. Worked my shoulders and really felt great working them. Usually shoulders rank right up there with legs for me, but not this morning.

I did make a decision that I hope doesn't hurt me. I've started drinking one cup of coffee again before my workouts. I'm tired of being sluggish when I workout. I started this yesterday and so far haven't had any bad side effects. I know my problem with caffeine now so I will only limit it to one cup versus the 7 I use to drink. If I feel my HR elevating again, I will stop.

Anyways, here's my workout:

Dumbbell Military Press:
25's - 12 (warmup)
30's - 7/7/6 (reps were 7/6/6 last time)
[font color=blue]***I'm at a stand still with 30's now. I feel like I've been at this weight forever. I need to start upping it again.[/font]

Plate Front Raises:
25# - 10/10/10/10 (Up 2½#)
[font color=blue]***Love how this exercise feels on the front of the shoulders. I really get a good burn with this.[/font]

No ROM Lateral Raise:
15's - 8/8/8 (up 3#)
[font color=blue]***These KILLED! No Range of Motion makes such a difference. I can't belive how much of a difference it makes.[/font]

Bent Over Lateral Raise:
22's - 10/10/10 (up 2#)
[font color=blue]***These felt good and I probably should have done 12 reps.[/font]

[font color=indigo]Traps[/font]
Barbell Shrugs:
125# - 20/15/15 (reps were 15/15/12 last time)
[font color=blue]***These burn like crazy as well.[/font]

Overhead Barbell Shrugs:
55# - 12
65# - 12/12
[font color=blue]***This is such a hard balancing exercise. I felt like the barbell was going to fall behind me a few times. I'm liking this exercise more and more but still can't figure out what it works. LOL![/font]

That is all. Gotta get my hairs cut today. My spikes are hard to obtain anymore.

We seen "Knocked Up" last night. What a freakin' STUPID ass movie that was! Geez.

My chest is really feeling it! Started last night. I love it. Today is S&H legs. I don't actually have the series, but I looked up the moves and order of them, and the count, so I just do it kinda freestyle and I can rock to my own music. Just not sure what time I will do it. Got stuff to do, haircut and stuff. Wish I could come have Anne do it!

Char- I would come down and keep you company in a heartbeat if I could. Hugs to you.

Toasty - just drained my Paypal account and spent my birthday money too.......yikes. Didn't get everything I wanted......but oh well. Running out of stuff to sell too!! Ya ready to hit the street corner??? LOL. Break out the voodoo oils!!

Diane Sue - my Mom's Physical Therapist (when she had it for her pelvic fracture) also told me to roll up a towel in my pillow. I don't think it helped....if not made me worse?? I have a couple of those contoured neck pillows....but my problems seemed worse on them....not sure. I was so frustrated and came across that site. It is the first time I saw one designed to lightly traction the neck. The receipt was from a Spine Institute....good sign in my book. I have facet joint problems in my neck, as well as bulging discs and loss of the lordotic curvature.....so I'm hoping even if it just helps the lordotic curvature......which they say leads to headaches...etc...that will be good. Still too soon to tell if it's helping and I don't want to say what I don't have today.....as I don't want to jinx myself!

Great workouts everyone..............we finally decided we're going to see that Michael Clayton movie with George Clooney. I don't really care for him...but the story might be good?

Does anyone know what kind of music Cathe used on the current DVDs?

My workout was Low Impact Circuit Cardio Blast premix stopping at the stretch, then I did Low Max blast only premix, then went back and did LIC abs and stretch. I wore my Jolie shoe weights and used a 10# dumbbell on the abs. I then did 3 sets of 12 reps Bowflex cable crunch 160#, hanging leg raises with shoe weights done slow, then 45# barbell rollouts on my toes. I finished with Yoga Shatki Basic Flow and some foam roller stuff. We would have went out but we have the cable company coming out. Our digital cable has been breaking up. OU is playing at 4 o clock. DH decided not to go to do extra work today and spend time at home.

Lora, I have had scoliosis my whole life. I also know that some things are off. I can do the standing pigeon pose and get my hands down to the floor with my right leg on my left but when I do the left leg it will not go even half as far into the stretch. That is also the side that I have the plantar fasciitis. Neck pain is worse on that side as well so I think I am really out of allignment somewhere. I guess we just have to find what works to make the best of what we have.

Debbie, great shoulder workout. I bet you will be fine with one cup of coffee. I tried cutting my caffeine for awhile because I felt like my hr was up way after my workouts. Also so I could sleep better. Now I just make a small pot and have some in the am before I start. The rest of the day it is non caffeine beverages. I bet it will work.

Diane Sue - did you order the new Kelly's? They are shipping Wed or Thursday. I ordered. I know what you mean about being out of alignment. I hate chiropractors though....cuz I used to work for one that was a quack.....plus I've heard from MD's that getting your cervical spine adjusted by a chiro is not safe.....so I don't know what to think. I've been told my lower spine curves too.....but seen by eye....not x-ray. I don't even want to get my lower spine MRI'd or x-rayed after all of the stuff they found in my cervical!

The movie was good......a little slow and not enough action for me...but it was good. Gotta go try to find some oils to sell since I blew my Paypal account on the Yule update at BPAL.

I guess I have to Spin tomorrow since my foot needs a break.
 
Hi Girls!

Haven't done a workout yet today. :( I'm hoping to hop on the treadmill before the day is over. Don't know if you all caught my post yesterday or not, but things are interesting here. Today my dad took the ferry over to Victoria in Canada to sell one of his cars to some relatives. He was supposed to catch a ferry right back over but he missed it (maybe on purpose). So we had the pleasure of changing my stepmom's diapers and clothes (poor thing was soaked) and my DH who is an ANGEL and did most of it lifted her out of the bed and into her chair. It's nice for my dad because he has not had a day to himself since she got Alzheimer's probably 5 years ago.

On top of dealing with her, this is a germaphobe's nightmare (my dad is NOT concerned with having a clean environment) and my sister is a big time germaphobe. The poor girl has been teetering on the egde. I'm trying to hang on to her tightly. Bless her heart though, she pitched right in this morning and helped change Mary K. and dress her. We have to roll her back and forth to get that all done and my sister was right in there with us. On the first day my sister almost had a meltdown (not letting my dad know, of course). I keep going downstairs and finding her crying in the bathroom. On a scale of 1-10 I'm probably a level 3 germaphobe and she's probably a level 7. She's a lot better than she used to be. You want to just shake her and tell her to knock it off, but I know that to her it's real b/c I know that the things that bother me are real to me and I know that she wishes she wasn't like that and that she is trying (growing up her food wasn't allowed to touch on her plate). Anyway, she's been having a really rough time with it and I've been trying really hard to try to keep her from having a complete meltdown. :)

Aside from that we're getting a lot done. Just giving my dad a break, keeping calories in Mary K. (mostly Ensure, as she won't eat much) and trying to get vehicles and a big RV cleaned up to sell.

Diane Sue - I hope your migraine is finally gone. I wish there was a cure!

Lora, I did not order Kelly Coffey's new dvds. I really love Step Box. I am still working on Ready Step Go. I wanted the new Step Box. Maybe I will ask for it for Christmas:) It is at regular price now so I am not in a hurry. I have never been to a chiropractor. DH has though. My parents seemed to really like them too. Personally I think there are doctors and dentists that are good in their field and those that are not. You take a chance whenever you let someone else mess with you.

Suz,isn't it wonderful to have a dh who will pitch in and help? I am so glad you are having time with your Dad. Hopefully your sister can figure our what is important and not let so many things bother her. Maybe you can remind her of kid germs over the years that meant nothing:) It takes a special person to deal with the elderly. Hope you get the vehicles and RV ready soon.

I think my migraine is gone. At least tonight:)
