Netta, I think some gloves need to be done that can be laundered. Mine smell like stinky shoes. I wipe them off and put them in front of my ionic breeze. I spray them with Febreeze as well.
Lora, I am glad you and your dh had a talk. Open communication is the best thing to help resolve things.
Charlotte, I am one to back off too. I am more like if someone thinks they are right it will do no good to argue with them exce[t leave me with a headache. Now some of my family would love a good argument. They are great in a debate situation as well. Not my thing.
Suz, yes I will be glad when our house sells but better when we choose the one we want. We have had repeat lookers. The one that came today is coming back with her husband next week.

My MIL has really bad eating habits too. My first Thanksgiving that she wanted me to help her cook she gave me this shopping list and you should have seen it - butter, butter, butter. So we start to cook together and she puts major amounts of butter and salt in EVERYTHING. It was disgusting. She's always been overweight but now she's lost a bunch of weight (she's done it before) and they way she does it is by starving. It makes DH so angry. He tells her to exercise and eat right. But she refuses. She just starves herself. I'm glad your DH is getting back to normal so you can have a nice Christmas together.
