Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Tony Horton One on One Cardio Intervals. Workout was 45 minutes and I burned 499 calories.

That's all today, as I work the early shift today for once!!

Have a great Saturday everyone.

I woke up really early for who know's what reason. No workout to report yesterday and my eats were terrible. This week has been very exhausting (mentally and physically) and I have no willpower. My nerves are shot, but my coworker comes back from vacation and things should be better next week.

We took our dog to the bark park and there was a scuffle b/t she and a boxer. Bella (my dog) plays pretty rough but is not aggressive. She is dominant but not aggressive. All the people ganged up and blamed Bella. I was trying to grab her, but she and the other dog were fighting. I was not gonna stick my hand in the middle of that (although the other woman was-which I thought was stupid). Anyway, I got very upset and took it very personal. Looking back on it, I knows it because I was tired, but still it had me very upset.

Hermia-my hamstrings are tight as well. Yoga has helped quite a bit, but some of the poses make me feel like they are going to snap right off the bone. sorry yours is giving you trouble. Also, you are an English professor, correct? The reason I ask-I have a friend who is going for her master's and I was wondering if I might run some English questions by you.

Lora-have fun with the early shift. Am I safe to assume the new boss isn't quite as crazy as the previous? You have not mentioned work as much so I thought it might be better. Also, I am debating between AHB and Insanity. I was wondering which you thought would give me more bang for my buck. I REALLY need to get some weight off!!!!!!!! And from yesterday's post, I agree with you on Cathe and Amy Bento. Sorry but I cannot share your love of Denise, she is one that grinds my nerves-it's her voice. :) I did get the new Jari Love video, so I hope I don't regret it.

Hello to everyone else.

Theresa

Theresa - just to clarify, I don't LOVE Denise...but I like her and respect her for what she's done with her life and all the peeps she's helped. I guess it's the humanitarian side of me.

Insanity versus AHB??? That's a toughie. I say you need both since AHB has no cardio and Insanity is interval cardio (with some core work thrown in). You'd probably get awesome results utilizing both of them! Sorry I was of no help!

Yes, so far, the new manager is like a real person...not a she-devil. I don't know her well enough yet....but so far so good.

I am getting ready to go do my last Meso two workout Back and Biceps. I will work abs as well. I was in Walmart yesterday and picked up the Sporline HR monitor that has the strap or touch option. It was inexpensive so I thought that I would give it a try. I put my exercise levels at what my Polar F11 has for me otherwise they seemed a little low since it seems to compair me to every other 57 yo Female. My Polar still works it just gets moisture in it.Should have taken it to a jeweler to have that battery changed. I didn't want to end up with no HR monitor.

Yesterdays eats were off. Started out ok I guess.

Post workout original clean eating cookbook power protein bars(crumbles)
I burned myself and spilled them all over the oven during the second baking phase with them on a baking sheet. These were only ok. I really didn't like the yogurt taste in them.
Lunch- blueberries with small amount of oats and kefir
snack- power protein bar crumbles
dinner- roasted turkey breast, New Clean Eat Cookbook Italian Pumpkin
I really didn't care for the pumpkin. I have the other half in a container in the refrigerator to do something with. I didn't season it so I will figure something out.
Snack- Sonic chocolate ice cream sundae:eek: We watched X men Wolverine and had ice cream late.

Lora, do you get all of Tony's one on one workouts? I like the tubing one I have. I use it occaisionally. It was nice to take to dd's when I took care of the children at her house in the mornings and was waiting on my house to be done. There are certain ones I would like to have.

Today was cardio and I got a workout off of Ebay last week called Powerstrike Millennium Series III. So I did it this morning and I loved it. Very good workout and the instructors are top notch. The instructors are Ilaria Montagnani and Patricia Moreno. I liked how they took turns and did parts of the workout. If I can find more of these workouts I will be getting them. And HOLY CRAP! Ilaria is RIPPED! Dang, she looks awesome. Very inspiring. This wasn't a high HR workout, kind of medium. But I liked it. I still burned a lot of calories with it.

HR STATS:
57 minutes total
9 minutes below zone
32 minutes in zone
18 minutes above zone
411 calories burned

Theresa and Hermia - I know all about tight hamstrings. I've been battling that for years. And Theresa, you made me laugh when you said some yoga poses make them feel like they will snap. That's how I feel sometimes too!!!

Hi Diane Sue & Lora and all to come!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Theresa - I would definitely go read the reviews in the OD of AHB before you buy it. Lot of people are sending it back.

This morning I did Disc 26 Plyo Legs no weight work. For some reason I I have been in no mood for any kind of choreography.

I finally finished my workout. I started with 1.25 miles on the treadmill mostly walking 141 calories, then I did STS disc 24 back and biceps, followed by STS stability ball abs and Kelly Coffey 30 min to Fitness Muscle Definition abs, then I jumped on the treadmill again for another 3.26 miles calories burne was only 213. Then I did Cathe's stability ball stretch #2. Total calories burned today was 717. 157 max hr, above zone 18.58 min, in zone 39 min. I am still trying to figure out this new HR monitor. I went somewhat lower on the weights today. Makes me think that I have really wasted my time with STS:confused: I will see how I feel about Mesocycle 3. I am almost ready to quit.

Debbie, I think I have the Power Strike Millineum 2 series. I haven't done those for ever. The women are motivating. I love the ab definition.

I guess I will post the weights anyway:

Theresa, yes, I teach college English. I'd be more than happy to try to answer any questions you might have!

I haven't done a whole lot today (I mostly exercise in the late evening). Earlier I did the warm-up from Ravi and Ana's Yoga Quick Fixes, then abs from the 4DS kicboxing, then the seated series from Tracey's Yoga Solutions, and also worked on my headstands a bit.
