Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Month of November

I did workout this morning, I'm feeling ok so I figured why not. I did Cardio Coach #1. Short and sweet. Had a pretty good workout.

CARDIO STATS:
40 minutes total
9 minutes below zone
28 minutes in zone
4 minutes above zone
293 calories burned
2.25 miles traveled

Again, heart rate would not come up. I only hit my Level 3 for like 4 minutes. I'm taking all this info with me on Wednesday and when I see my doctor. I hope they can give me some answers. It really bugs me that I can't get to my level 3 anymore.

Afternoon Everyone ;)

Today ended up being a rest day. I could not sleep last night......finally got up and took a vacotin (sp) This morning, I was due in Shaker Court for my pretrial. I tell you when I had the accident while laying in the ER Shaker police come in and give me a ticket, man oh man. I just looked at him almost cried but I didn’t.

Anywho, it turned out okay saved a couple hundred….still had to pay $300.00 Shaker have the highest court cost in the USA  he..he….. Seriouly, if you ever in Shaker don’t freaking piss the policemen off. Any who, I’ll be back later got several reports due out.

Today I did Pyramid Lower Body but only the standing part and the calf raises. I don't care for the floor work, a lot of it hurts my knees. Had a pretty good workout, worked up a good sweat!

Hope you all have a great day and great workouts!

Hi everyone! No workout for me today. I have too much on my mind with this doctor's appointment today with the Cardiologist. I'm too worried to workout. Please keep me in your prayers today. Hopefully it's not anything major.

Diane Sue - Hope you are doing ok. Praying for your quick recovery!

Hope you all have a great day and great workouts!

Debbie, prayers for you for your appointment today.

Yesterday I did Lower Body Blast and today was Rockout Knockout.

Diane Sue, hope things are going well for you as you recover.

I thought I would check in on all of you :) I have been pretty busy despite trying to recover. My stepmother passed away Monday. Trying to get ready to leave town this weekend to be with my Dad. This is his second loss. Last night my husband rescued a black lab puppy from going to the pound. I think my daughter will take her but right now we will be taking care of her for a few days. She is pretty well trained but right now is in a chewing frenzy so I had to pull out all of the chew toys our dog doesn't play with anymore. This and preparing to leave town is keeping me quite busy. Not as much time to prop my feet up. I go to see my doc tomorrow morning and get the stitches out. Hope I can get the go ahead on at least some upper body work. My so in law had the same type of surgery and they had him use a recumbent bike for rehab. Hopefully I can maybe use the spin bike. I will have to see if they will have me doing PT or not.

Debbie, how did the cardiologist visit go? I have been praying for you. That is interesting the the HR is staying like that.

Debbie, and Roselyn, thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Teddy, that was one expensive ticket.

Hi everyone! I'm happy to say everything with my heart is ok. It was one of those visits where you wonder why they even had you go in. The doctor told me everything the tech told me - so whatever the "abnormal" thing on the Echo was, I don't know. He said in some of the pictures he can see that I have three aortic valves, and in others only two. He said the only way to get an accurate answer is an MRI but he doesn't feel it's necessary to do that. He thinks I'm having anxiety issues again and wants me to take a stress test after the holidays. So no big deal there.

I asked him about my lowered HR when I workout and he said the blood pressure meds will certainly do that. He said the highest I should see my HR go when I'm working out is 145 bpm. That will take a while to get used to. I loved seeing my HR get up to the 160's. So that sort of will be weird. He was very impressed at how fit I am and asked me if I was in my 30's. I said, "No, try almost 50!" Unless he was messing with me, he couldn't believe it. He listened to my heart and said I had a heart of a 30 year old if not younger. Honestly, I don't think he sees many people like me. Usually cardiac issues are for people overweight and unhealthy. He told me to stop worrying so much about everything and just do what I do. Nice man.

Oh, he says I will still need to have an echo every 2 to 3 years, just to keep on eye on it. That is fine with me.

So after the holidays I will get a stress test and see him one more time. I still have a follow-up with my doctor on Monday.

Today I did the upper body premix of Push/Pull. That was a great premix. She does all the upper body work twice through. I really felt it withmost exercies. Had a great workout!

I feel like a rock has been lifted from me. I'm so happy and thankful my heart is ok! Thanks for the prayers everyone!

Diane Sue - I'm sorry to hear you step-mom passed away. Prayers to you and your family.

I am back from the doctor. I think it went well. He gave me a prescription for physical therapy if I want to do it or says I can work on it on my own. He says I am healing really fast. Like a teenager would heal (pretty funny) and he could tell I was in good health. I can do what I feel I can handle. He did suggest more low impact stuff so I can save my knees. I have been working on that more over the course of the last year than I was. Anyway, I can lift weights etc.. Just what I can handle and back off as needed. He says, cycling, swimming, elliptical are all good. He says he used to love to run. That is the only cardio he liked to do, didn't enjoy swimming and cycling. Now he can't do it like that anymore. He says he knows we get caught up in what we see really burn those calories but we need to take care of the knees. I go back in a month.

Debbie, I am glad that the the doctor visit was positive. I was kind of starting to lean towards the blood pressure meds having to do with the HR since it was staying like that. That is interesting that it is not a sure thing on the aortic valves. Sending prayers your way that this will all work out.

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I appreciate all your friendships! I can always count on you guys to help me along when the road gets rough.

Well, not that the road is rough right now, but I swear I can't win. I didn't workout today because my low back feels a little tweaked. Not painful, it's just telling me that if I move wrong, something bad could happen. I think it happened when I did the ab work yesterday from Push/Pull. It was either the Superman's on the ball, or the reverse crunches. I'm sure I'll be good to go by tomorrow, but I'm really getting irritated that my workouts are more sporadic lately then consistent.

Hopefully next week will be better but since it's Thanksgiving week, I have no idea how often I will workout.

I guess we just do what we can, right?

Have a great day everyone! {{{{HUGS}}}}

Diane Sue - WOW! Great news on your doctor's visit. It is awesome that you are healing so fast. I am not surprised, though. You are in great shape and the healing process for us in good condition is usually faster. Nice that you can start working out again already, it has only been a couple weeks, right? Maybe three since your surgery?
