Morning Maniacs -

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning so I'm getting a late start. I'm starting Barry's Bootcamp this morning. I'm not really into it right now, but hopefully that will change once I get started. I think I'm still depressed over losing Pandora, as I haven't wanted to get out of bed the last couple days.

I'll be back a bit later.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I will do a bike ride and spray mace. I hate that dog coming after me all the time, but oh well. So after that gonna do some upperbody work..no time for PUB so go solo and then ab work from butts/guts and Body Max 2. Packing inbetween and going to new house for home inspection.

I cannot wait to move. I am so tired of sharing my home with FIL. He has been in a weird mood lately and seems unhappy cuz he doesn't feel good. When hubby and I went out this weekend, he was upset cuz we didn't tell him when we were coming home and then kept getting after our dd about what time she was coming home. See, that is why I NEED NEED NEED NEED NEED my own space and my own life/home, etc. I am pretty much just acting like he is not here and going on about things like I usually do.

Lora,

I can only imagine. Your grieving and your gonna for awhile. I am thinking of you.

I ended up doing Barry's Arms & Abs weighted section and then I did all but 4-5 minutes of the Treadmill Cardio portion, as I knew it was only about 15-17 total and this is the one he does the Pullups on the treadmill and the drills with the TM shut off, pushing the grocery cart and then running backwards and walking plyo lunges on the treadmill. I then went upstairs and did the Non-treadmill cardio portion 20" plus I added a cool down and 10 minute stretch from a DVD. Workout was about 1 hour 25 minutes and I burned 440 calories. I also did Ravi & Ana's Dancin' the Chakra's - Chakra yoga practice only (30").

Now I remember why I didn't do Barry's every day when I did it and put a day of regular cardio in between them..........too many plyos or running to do daily and in the non-treadmill cardio he does mountain climbers, burpees, etc, and that coupled with all of the pushups in this series, will total kill my shoulders! Must rethink my rotation.

Have great workouts everyone.

Diane Sue - thanks for your kinds words about Pandora. When you lost your dog recently, how long did you wait before you got a new one? I'm just curious. I want to get one in a week or so. We went and looked yesterday.....but nothing jumped out at us as the special "one". I don't normally like to wait that long, as the house is too lonely.....but I know in the past we've at least waited a couple weeks, but it always seemed like God placed a special one there for us at the right time.

Toasty - we posted at the same time. Yes, I know .....I'll be like this for a while...but I hate going thru this, but the joy of having pets is far to great not to have them. Hang in there with the packing and FIL.

I'll be around for a bit. Off to job search online.

Good-bye Polar, HELLO Imara! I used my new HRM this morning and I LOVE it! Easy to use. The only thing I don't care about is the bpm number is really small, its hard to see when you are running. But other then that, it is SWEET!

I did Cardio Coach #3 which is only a half hour and then I did steady state until I reached an hour. Then I did the ab work from Power Hour. Love the planks in this workout.

Workout was 1:06, was in my zone for 52 minutes and burned 374! The calorie count is a tad higher then my Polar but I'm assuming its because it didn't lose my HR at all during the workout. My Polar lost it constantly throughout the workout.

Char - I bet you will be glad to be gone from there! Soon, just be a tad more patient! :)

Hope you all have great workouts!

Good Morning
This morning I did Gym style chest and tris and the 20 min hi/lo from SJ&P.
Great workout ladies!
Have a good day

Morning Maniacs! I'm not in the mood to workout this morning. I'm hoping to get in a weight workout later today. I slacked on the weight workouts last week (only did 1). I figure the Mt. Biking is a full body workout in a sense. My triceps and core, along with legs really feel it after a ride. Still, that' no excuse for skipping weights. I have that spring fever thing, where I don't won't to go down to the basement. Oy!

Lora-Barry's Bootcamp still sounds interesting to me, but I'm staying clear of workouts that over work you. I'm trying to stay injury- free. My elbow has felt tons better since my shot, but I'm still afraid to over do it.

Char- When is the moving date? April sometime? It's like you are a teenager and living back home. Someone waiting up for you and wondering where you have been and why you are late. I bet your DD LOVES that too! LOL! Good idea of acting like he isn't there. How far away will your house be from his? Hopefully more than a house or 2! Coarse, you live in the boonies, so maybe that would be pretty far. Oy!

Debbie-Give me details of this new HRM! How much, where, why. You know...the whole scoop. Dh thinks that my A5 reads to low for our rides. I do too, I feel like I burn like 10,000 cal. LOL!

Randi-Great workout!

Good Morning,
I slept in this morning. When we were at my Dad's there were train whistles all night and we hardly slept at all. I was tired. Today is supposed to be week two of the M&F rotation phase 1. I am going to sub some moves with the Bowflex on the flys and use it for the pushdowns on the triceps. I will do some cardio and try to get some stretching or yoga in. Lots to get caught up here today.

Lora, we waited a month before we started looking for a new puppy. We went to a rescue center first but the dog we chose was having health issues and we finally decided not to get her. Then we started calling ads in the newspaper. We went way out in the country when we picked up Mudd. This man had puppies all over the place. One reason that we waited though was because we were waiting for a response from our other dogs owners. Then they finally responded wanting to give us enother puppy after we had Mudd for about a month. So now we have two very large puppies:) Still look at Jasmines pictures and feel sad. Having another pet does help the healing process though.

I got an Nike Imara HRM. Got it from Ebay for $50. There's a seller out there that starts his bid on these at $.99. They usually go for around 40-60. Its made for women, fits very well and the strap is very versatile in width for your size. The strap for my Polar was always too big for me.

Deb - thanks for the info on the HRM. It sounds good. Glad you're happy with it.

Dallys- yes ..Barry's is pretty much a lot of plyos and such. My sciatica is already flaring. I might do them every other day with a day of cardio in between but that will make a 10 day rotation and so each body part will only get hit twice in 10 days.

Diane Sue - Reading what I wrote to Dallys above about doing a 10 day rotation in which I hit each body part twice, do you think that would be okay? I really want to do the Barry's the way they were intended, but I think it's way too much impact. However, I guess I could use the rebounder. What do you think? If you need more specifics on the body parts, let me know .

Well...........we've got a new 11 week old kitten. We weren't really planning on it but we went and looked at Petland and they had kittens and this one was special. She doesn't have a name yet. We still miss Pandora very much, but the new one's do keep your mind occupied and I always do better when my mind is occupied since it's always going a mile a minute. We might call her Brooklyn but it's not decided yet. She is sure quite spunky. Playing with every toy in the house. The other cats don't know what to think.....but I'm sure they'll adapt....they always do. She has an incision in her belly with stitches from being spayed and you'd never know it by the way she's running around.

Lora- That's fantastic you found a new kitty already! I bet you are feeling better now( Even though we know one kitty can't replace another).:)

Debbie- I've been looking at those HRM on Ebay. What model did you get? There seems to be a few of them. One says it has an oversized display for easy reading. Model # SM0032-486 (socaltrends is the seller, right?). I like a pink ones. or the ice blue.:)

I finished my workout. I did the M&F rotation, added 3 sets of barbell rollouts on my toes. For cardio I did Amy's Kick Box Ex quick energy premix stopping at the str, then I did the all interval premix with the core work. Finished with stretch max with the band.
For those interested in my pets dh put the latest ones of them on my website for me:) Got to run errands BBL

Dallys, Mudd is 7 months and Puddle is 6 months. They sprawl out in front of the couch and when I get up I am wading over a mass of doggy:) I am taking Mudd to the vet Wed to have her spayed. Poor Mudd. She won't be happy about being left all night. BTW I keep reading your workouts. What is NROL? I am sure you probably already said but somehow I missed it.
