Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Greg Sim's Lean Muscle workout (46" high rep/slight functional fitness type of workout). I also did Step & Strength Gliding with Rob Glick 25". Lean Muscle was pretty tough today....I think I'm finally remembering to pick up heavier weight and drop down if I need to with these high rep workouts. Workout was about 1 hour 25 minutes and I burned 550 calories. I also did Cape Cod Yoga - restorative practice.

I'll be around for a bit and then I'm going for a job interview.

Diane Sue - I see what you mean about that Gliding DVD. I was disappointed in it. The Gliding segments move so slow and the step was sort of ho hom...boring. I guess I'm getting used to more complex moves. Although, it would have been 100% better with my own music on ...which I'll be sure to do next time, as it's easy to follow. (I still think you and I need to go visit the CIA producer and make a Hardcore Wildly Fast....Gliding workout! I love doing fast speed skaters!

Toasty -how'd did your cookies turn out? Everyone seems to want the recipe! I got my C&S for the other 2 Inquisition orders I placed....I've got oils coming out of my ears. I should send you and Meg a list of my catalog imps and see what you guys want! Nobody ever buys them off the Forum.

Someone posted that they got Mindy's All Systems Go new workout and said it looks REALLY tough. They said you need the bodybar to do it....I only have a 12 pounder....hope that's heavy enough. I can't wait to get mine now.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today is legs/back. I think I might do Butts and Guts though and then ab ripper too. My neck and shoulder feel waaaayyyy much better. I think the yoga helped alot.

Cookies turned out fine. Sin free..almost. And I will post the recipe below. I will buy some oils off ya. The only two I want so far is treat #2 and Passion, if you get it. Just imps, of course. Email me your list anyhow...maybe I missed something.

Vanilla Caramel Protein Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Nut Cookie Recipe:

*Stir your dry ingredients separate from the not so dry and then blend them together

1/2 c Enova Oil
1 1/4c sugar substitute (I use splenda)
2 eggs
3 tbsp molasses
1 tsp vanilla

DRY INGRED:

1 c wheat flour
2 heaping scoops of vanilla caramel pm protein shake (or use any)
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 bag of dark bittersweet chocolate chips (less sugar this way)

Stir in:

2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cups nuts

Bake 375 for 8-10 mins.

I am not in a good mood today. Tax lady told me we owe our wonderful government over $2,000. Where the hell I'm going to get that money from is beyond me. Why do we even bust our butts in America? I just don't get it. We get screwed every time we turn around and I'm sick of it.

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer here. I did Cardio Coach #5 this morning and did fairly well considering I almost had a heart attack this morning when I found all this out. Workout was 1:04 was in my zone for 50 minutes and burned 343 calories. Travelled 3.5 miles.

Good Morning, I thought I posted earlier but my laptop is acting up so I am on the office computer. I am doing the second week of phase 2 of the M&F hers rotation. I will do some cardio as well. We have roofers coming today to take off the wood shingles and re do the whole roof. My dogs will be going crazy when they start banging around:)

Lora, the last time I did that gliding dvd I tried really hard to add some intensity. I think the Marcos Polos one is better. They do a decent job for a lower impact workout and hitting the legs & glutes at the same time. Yes, I think we could make them a Maniac gliding workout :7

Charlotte the cookie recipe looks good. I once did a low carb peanut butter one with protein powder but ended up eating so many of them I think I consumed my day worth of calories and way to much LOL

Deb - I know how frustrating Taxes could be....my DH and I used to always owe (guess it goes hand in hand with having no children). Now, we both have a bit extra taken out of our paychecks and don't have to pay that much any more...........I know it still sucks....but it does take the sting out of "where the heck do I come up with the money?".

Toasty - All of the imps I was gonna list are just GC scents.....you've tried everything from the GC already???? LOL!! My C&S just came for my Trading Post order, let's hope I get Passion.....since I hinted that I'm a very "passionate" person!! he...hee.....against the rules too......my bad!

I have to figure out what workouts I will be doing once I am done with P90X. I am just behind right now as I took a few days off. I was going to do my Lean Rotation which calls for much more cardio. I usually like to ride my bike instead of running, but the weather here is still icy so I might have to do something else for March and wait til April. So seems like you are liking what you are doing so far.

Morning Maniacs! It's snowing! That was a surprise to wake up too.
Not sure what workout to do today.

Here is another cookie recipe for anyone that wants it.


Fool Yourself Cookies

1/2 banana
1 tbsp. peanut butter
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 pkg. Swiss Miss No Sugar Added Hot Cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking powder (NOT soda)
1/2 scoop protein powder

Directions: Mix all ingredients thoroughly and drop by spoonfuls
onto baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.

SERVING SIZE:
1 (makes 6 cookies, which equals ONE meal)


Char- I copied your cookie recipe and will try it soon. I'm still feeding off of Valentine cookies. I think I made a gazillion of them. It's like the never-ending cookie.

Debbie-I know how you feel on the taxes. Last year I got slamed with $2500. I think I cried! I planning on the same this year, hoping I'm wrong.

Diane Sue- I remember my dog going nuts when we did our roof. She got used to the noise after awhile. Roofs are a lot of messy work.

Dallys-Your recipe looks good, too! I am not a banana person, but DH is and he needs fooling-LOL! How strong is the banana flavor from using it-or is that primarily just to sweeten it? Interesting about using the cocoa packet-never seen that before!

Good Afternoon Maniacs!!!

I'm backx( x( and not well-rested. I think I need a vacation to catch up from the vacation. Not to mention the 12 inches of snow that greeted us!!! I was actually bummed to have missed our blizzard!!

Mexico was cool...literally ...could have and should have packed pants! But the days were hot in the sun, that's all I care about. No workouts, no surprise there!}( }(

As far as workouts...I'm starting phase 3 over starting today.

Ok...I don't have time to catch up on the last week's worth of info but I will try later. I'm off to the doctor and still have a pile of mail to catch up with at the office.

AMber - yes, you were missed. Hope your not too frazzled after that wild vacation. I know the feeling of needing a vacation after a vacation!! LOL. It seems we all got True Love - it's actually sort of nice when you wear it.......smells better on the dry down......although I had to put the last minute frantic BPAL addict order in for 2 more inquisitions...in hopes of getting Passion! I just really want to try that one. Toasty made cookies yesterday with protein powder and oatmeal.......good for you cookies. Let us know how you spent your vacation!! I've never been there.
 
I got my workout in between phone interruptions and the dogs. I did Low Impact Circuit cardio blast no str, then the M&F Hers rotation adding biceps and calves, then I did SJP step and str, then followed with X Stretch starting at ch.21 the shoulder stand into plough move to finish 37 min..

Debbie, sorry about your tax news. You got in a good workout. At least maybe it helped a little with the tension end of it.

Jen, good to have you pop over here to chat. I think the best bet is to cut the recipe size down so there aren't to many just in case.

Dallys, my dogs are not happy. I walked them in the front yard because they have stuff all over the back. Neither dog will do anything:( They keep ringing the bell on the back door. 6 cookies is a meal:D I could do with a cookie meal.

Amber it is good to see you back. I never get rest on those vacations. I need a week off at home to recover.

Maeghan, these workouts seem to be doing well for me. I was a little worried because I have cut down from my 1 hr cardio day workouts sometimes more. I checked my weight this morning and it is staying the same. I will be kicking it up some next week because there will be walking lunges, jump squats and jump rope with high rep sets of upper body.

Charlotte - Thanks for the recipe. I'm printing it out right now. Doesn't it hurt protein powder to get it hot?

Lora - Yep, the no kids thing killed us. When we had our kids to write off we only owed around $300 which pissed me off just as much.

Meg - Thanks! Nothing will help me at this point. But its nice to know all of you understand.
