Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Kelly Coffey's 30 minutes to Fitness. Workout was 1 hour and I burned 317 calories. I chose the low cardio breaks during the first half hour and ab work as rest during the 2nd half hour. I didn't find the cardio got my HR up at all. Was too short and not very intense. I used the amount of weight Kelly said to use for advanced and could have gone slightly heavier on a few exercises....will adjust next time.

Can't believe it's Monday already. Ugh...and I have a dental appt after work.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today is shoulders and elliptical. I am down to 117 now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just where I want to be so I am just thrilled about it!

That is interesting to do blast first and then combos. Never thought about doing it that way. Have fun with it as that is killer workout!

Good workout! I got my Burt's Bee for $8 plus shipping. So happy about that.
 
Woke up with the right side of my head all blocked. I really hate that. I feel fine other then my nose running and I'm sneezing all the time. Must be allergies. By the middle of my workout my sinuses finally started to clear. Now at least I can breath. Had a couple personal bests today.

1:30 minutes rest between each set

Overhead Dumbbell Press:
15's - 15 (warmup)
31's - 7/6/6 (up 1#) PB!
[font color=blue]***This is my personal best. I can't believe what a difference a measley one pound makes for shoulder work.[/font]

Arnold Press:
27's - 8/8/7/7 (up 2#)
[font color=blue]***Another pb I believe. These felt good, I like this exercise.[/font]

Barbell Upright Row:
70# - 8/7/6/6 (up 5#)
[font color=blue]***This one was hard and by the last set I was fried.[/font]

Bent-Over Lateral Raise:
26's - 8/8/8/8 (up 1#)
[font color=blue]***Again, what a difference 1# makes. These felt good but by the last set I was done.[/font]

[font color=indigo]TRAPS:[/font]
Barbell Shrugs:
120# - 10/10/10 (up 5#)
[font color=blue]***I hate my hooks. I need to get Versagrips and FAST!!! The hooks just don't grab the bar like they should and they hurt my wrists. What a waste of money.[/font]

Morning Maniacs!

Just got back from the Tony Horton fitness camp in DC so now I am super pumped to kick up my fitness routine!!! Had an awesome time but am really feeling it today. We did an hour of Yoga yesterday morning and abs in the afternoon which was basically Ab Ripper 200 followed by Ab Ripper X followed by the Abs from 10 Minute Trainer-Yikes!!! Scary in itself but extra challenging when Tony himself is only a few feet away checking out your form lol!

Today I'm doing cardio but have not decided what yet. Maybe what Randi is doing with Imax 3?

Lora- Good luck with your dental appt. I hate those too.

Charlotte-Woo-hoo on being back at your goal weight!!!!! I knew you would get there in no time, now it is my turn :p

I finished Imax 3 blast first then combos and tackled ankle weight only workouts from Legs and glutes. My legs are fried}(

Good Morning, this week I am doing some lighter total body workouts before I go back to Slo Mo and Slow&Heavy. I started with Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Knockout repeating the final two combo KO segment. I am going to go do a weight workout. It will be Tracey Staehle's All Bosu Balance Mix from Her Parts series. Have to go take care of insurance on my new Escape and groceries.

Charlotte, I knew you would get to the weight you wanted:)

Lora, I did not realize that there was cardio in Kelly's new workouts. For some reason I thought that they were just weights.

Randi, that sounds like a tough workout.

Good morning. Hoping to get the X today. Where is my UPS guy??? I really wanted to start it today, but don't want to wait to long to WO, as I have to go to the bank today.

Char- good for you. I am not budging. lol. But, I guess it has come down to counting cals, atleast for a week, then I will know what to eat and what not too. It worked for me before, so I gotta do it again. I am stuck in the same spot and it is depressing.

Randi- that does sound like a fun way to do Imax3. I will try it next time.

Coni- I am so jealous! That sounds like an awesome experience. I wanna go next time lol!

Lora- hope dentist appt is quick and painless!! lol

Is it Monday already? This morning was straights sets with 4 sets of 5 and 1 minute rests. All the upper work were PB's for me.

5/5/5/5 - 95# **This was brutal, but I persevered**

5/5/5/3 - 61# **there will be no increase here next week! LOL! I also cheated the weight up on more time and fought the negative**

Close Grip Press
5/5/5/4 - 90# **could not get the last rep to save my life**

Then did some ab work.

Lora - I feel for you on the dentist, I go on Thursday!

Debbie - Which Versagripp you getting? I need to order them too, I agree the hooks suck! Also agree that 1 pound is a lot when it comes to shoulders! Congrats on the PBs.

Randi - Nice workout! I've done Imax 3 Blasts only, but I've never added on the combos! Do you think that makes it harder to have to keep going after the blasts?

Char - Congratulations on hitting your goal weight! What a happy day!!! BTW, I am always getting sick because I have two little kids that bring everything home to me.:p

Linda - Thanks! I think I'll get the cheaper pair. The pictures look funny. It's hard to tell how you use them. But I've heard excellent things about these. I need to order them soon. Did you order yours yet? Which ones are you getting/got?
 
Debbie - Okay, after talking with the company I went with the Classic. Which is the cheap one, I went with that one mainly due to its wider wrist strap than the fit.

Today is my rest day, Yay! The weather is so nice as soon as I get off work going speed walking, hope to get in 1.5 ttyl.

Looks like everyone has got an early start! I wish I had the determinaton to get up and do my workouts in the mornings. I just can't do it.

Randi - Hi, how does Imax 3 compare to Imax 2??? I've heard the music is great on 3.

Toasty - I hear ya! Good going on losing the weight! I'm still hanging in there. I've been drinking my water all morning. I've already had 22 ozs, no sodas as of yet! I'm not promising that I won't have a diet soda with my lunch though.

Debbie and Linda - You both amaze me with the weights you use, but that's what happens when you press on! You both are doing great! I know how 1 lb can make a difference! I really do. Great job ladies.

Coni - How was it to be right there with Tony? I don't think I could have kept up with him. I would have tried though. Was his crew there too?

Maeghan - Hi, I hope you get your P90X+ soon. Did you do the first round of Tony's? You can get back on track, I'm doing the same thing it's just taking a little time. That's how I lost my 24lbs about 3 years ago, was counting calories and excersising. Now I've gained back about 10 and that just sucks that I let myself do that after all the hard work. I changed locations with the company I work with and it's been very stressful, so I blame that! It's changing though!

Diane Sue - How do you like Amy Hi/Lo Knockout? I would like to get some new ones of hers, but not sure which to get yet.

I finished B&G standing glutes and abs. I also added the bonus sit and stands, leg press, and glute squeeze. I seriously thought the ab section was never going to end. And I saw stars after that glute squeeze segment!

I am absolutely sure that I will be sore as hell tomorrow. Still no UPS guy. Gotta go eat now.

I finished my workout. I did Tracey's Bosu Balance workout and a short stretch. I have a house full of company. Lots to do too.

Sandy, I like Hi/Lo knockout. It is more of a hi/lo workout. If you have done H/Lo Extreme or H/L dome it is similar with Kickbox intervals. Lots of turns in it but fun and I like the music. I like in the Ring a lot.
