Morning Maniacs -

Ugh....it's Monday. I did not want to get out of bed and my motivation has gone South. I think it's cuz I'm depressed.

I did Jillian's 30-Day Shred Sessions 1 & 2 this morning. I heavied up on the weights ..using my 10-22 lb DB's and added ankle weights and DBs to the ab work. I did some of the cardio on the floor and some on the Rebounder. Workout was 73" and I burned 520 calories.

These are a lot better than her first series. These are more like her book circuits. I liked this....but the stretch was only 1.5 minutes at the end. I added a longer one.

Good morning ladies! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had fun at the pool and on my bike ride. I also weeded and that was tough on my back!

I had a great cardio session on the treadmill yesterday and today I start with the rotation that Debbie emailed to me.

I will have to use a challenging weight. Let you all how sore I am tomorrow.

Lora - thanks for the input on the Jillian workout. I have been wondering about it and watched a clip of it on college video.

Debbie, thanks again for the rotation.

Easter was wonderful. I een took a nap after they al left and i cleaned up the mess.
Gonna do abs only today. Saved them. I knew i would be a hurtin..

Morning all!

Hope everyone's Easter was a great one.

DH and I had lunch at my mom's. Of course she cooked a 6 course meal. It was very good. Then we went to his parents' house and rode our bike around the block a couple times. It was cold but very fun! I cannot wait for warm weather!!!

I ate WAY TOO MUCH!!! OMG! I feel sick today, actually. I had eggs this morning and it was all I could do to get it down. Gross! I have a chocolate hangover as well. I hate that.

So this week is my rest week (except for cardio) and then next week starts my cutting week and new rotation. I gotta really buckle down with the food, I have not been doing well at all with it.

I ate way too much too. Up to 121 now. Egads! If that was ALL muscle, then that would be GREAT, but sad, it is not! :(

So today is elliptical work.

Yesterday I did Muscle Max (lots of 2/2 counts and more reps):

Cathe used:

squats 10# db's, I used 60#
squats 40# bb, I used 110#
static lunges 30# bb, I used 80# (I SCREAMED AT THE END)
did all the pushups
Flyes 20# db's like Cathes (more reps, and it burned)
Underhand Rows 40# bb, I used 70# bb
One Arm Rows 25# db's, I used 35# db's
Pullovers w/30# bb, I used 40# bb and could have used 45# instead
Band lunges...used purple for passion..Cathe used green
Plie Squats 15# db, I used the mother of 45# db
Lat Raises 8# (didn't know how many gazillion reps cathe was gonna do, but should have done these with at least 10's)
Yellowband for Front Raises (this was challenging)
Upright Rows 10# db's, I used 12# db's
Front Raises w 20# bb, I could have went up to 25# bb
Bicep Curls w/bb 30#, I used 60#
Halfway bicep barbell curls 10# db's, I used 20's
Overhead ext 15# db's, I used 30's and could have used 35-40 (did these twice and then dips off stepper

Finished off with core work.

Well, its time to get back at it! This morning was the first day of the next eight week rotation. It was done in three straight sets of 5 with a 60 second rest. It was a good way to start again and I will have to say I was surprised at what I was able to do. These were some of my heaviest weights and I was able to keep great form through it all!

5/5/5 - 37's ***could have gone heavier, so held the contraction at the top instead***

Quads
Squats
5/5/5 - 100# ***took there to parallel***

Shoulders

Biceps
Barbell Curls
5/5/5 - 55#

Triceps
Close Grip Press
5/5/6 - 85#

Then did some hanging ab work. Will be interesting to see what kind of pain tomorrow brings.

Hi Maniacs!

I'll post my workout later this afternoon when I get off work. Had a great Easter Weekend, sounds like a lot of you did!

Charlotte - You are an animal doing all those reps with heavy weights, you are the queen! You're gonna feel all that work later!

Debbie - Enjoy your cardio week! I was wondering if you and DH had rode the bike yet! Sounds like you had a great time too.

Linda - Look at you, you go girl! Looks like you're geared up to get back on the rotation. I've got 3 more weeks left of the one I've been doing then gonna start the other that Debbie sent me. I've got to add more cardio in with my workouts. We're starting a walking club here at work, gonna start out walking 2 miles then we'll see from there.

I hear ya with the food. I am either not eating enough or too much, but I have not had chocolate in awhile. Think I am finially tired of it.

Great beastly workout as usual. Unbelievable amount of strength you got in your triceps in chest. Good Gosh! That is where I wanna be and since I know you are there, I am naturally gonna want it too!!!! LOL! So inspiring as many are here.

I feel it in my abs so far now and my bootae some, but my abs are really sore. Weird. I have been wanting to feel it more in abs so I am happy about that.
 
Char - As much as you want my chest & tri strength I don't think I've could have done MuscleMax at those weights! Besides I want your bicep strength!!!

We will always want it all and we will eventually have it all too while on our hardcore journey. I just don't want anyone to pass me up on the bicep curls..NOT YET! hehe. I gotta catch up to you and Debbie on the bench and triceps....not because it is a contest, but because it is so inspiring to see what you all can do and I want it just the same so I believe if you want something, and you work hard enough at it, it can be yours. Why not?

How was everyone’s Easter Sunday? Mines was relaxing…………:)

I did nothing Sunday we laid around watching movies, didn’t even get the chances too see my grand children. My two son’s and my family TRIED there bests to tie my Easter up, with cooking and others invited me for dinner. I just wanted to do nothing, but kick it with my guy. He fried fish made greens, yams and mac. We just did whatever.

My workout’s were on point Fri, Sa and Su today is my rest day.

I ate pretty good except for them dog gone sweets, my bag cuz, Thursday I brought home 2 boxes of GS cookies I ate three cookies last night yummy………:p

Debbie: I ate way to much too. I’m not as brave as toasty DARE not step on scale until April 1st. Is it possible I can have a copy of both of your routines? The one you just finished and the one you are about too start next week, pretty please I really would appreciate it, [email protected].

Char - Holy moly woman! Nice job on MM with those weights. I would be crying.

Linda - Nice workout!!! You are getting up there with the weights. This is the rotation to test your strength, definitely! Nice going!

Teddygirl - I can give you the one I just completed, but I have no clue how this new one will go yet. I don't even have it laid out.

Debbie, it is nice to know you are human and overeat! Your post show a very disciplined eater!

I guess having family so far away is good in the way that I didn't have anywhere to go for Easter dinner so I didn't overeat. My husband and I got a new smoker for Christmas and we smoked some chickens. They are a fabulous!

It took me awhile to get moving today. I ate so much junk yesterday that I just had no energy this morning. Having a cold doesn't help either. Anyway, I sucked it up and did Amys Step Challenge 2 repeating the power ups once, then I did her Slo Mo legs workout. I am tempted to go back and do the core work too. I almost took a recovery week just to do lighter workouts but really wanted to wait till some of the new ones I ordered come. It looks like everyone is doing some pretty awesome poundages:)

Anne, it looks like you are getting back into things. I hope that appointment went well. How are you feeling??

Char: That was yesterday’s cookie drama. I dare not tell what I ate the entire weekend, it was ridiculous. All I know is this, today is a new day, back to cleanx(


Diane Sue: I feel so lousy after eating chocolates and junk foods, it makes me feel so bad. I ate fried fish last night and OMG, oil attacked my stomach and I had gas}( and cramps:+ really bad. Amy's Slo-Mo did you match her pound for pound? and does that workout bother your back? You had a awesome workout :D
 
First I'd like to say that we should all be proud that we feel like crap after eating what we did yesterday. The average person wouldn't think twice about it. Our bodies, however, revolt against us and I think that is an excellent sign of health and fitness!!!

M1: 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites; 1 slice 12 grain bread
M2: Choclate Coconut Candy Bar BSN w/ 1/2 c. oats & 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
M3: Turkey patty; 2 tbsp. walnuts
M4: 3/4 c. plain yogurt w/ Banana Cream BSN
M5: 4 oz. 95% ff beef patty; salad w/ light Honey mustard dressing
M6: Protein pancake w/ 2 tbsp. power pb

53 g. fat - 31%
144 g. protein - 37%
131 g. carbs - 34%

Calories are low but I'm not even hungry today. Still od'ing on the foods I had yesterday.
