Dallys - thats what I do, I have a cheat sheet pinned to the wall in front of my treadmill and I know exactly where to go to get to the difference challenges on my mp3 player.

Suz - Are you doing P90 too?

Amber - What Char said about pullups/chins

Lora - My HRM counts calories from the get go. However, I burn way less in my rest zone (obviously).

O.k., I am opening the present right now! lol. Getting ready for P90X. I want to know what I am burning. I got to eat first..I don't want to pass out from a extreme workout. lol

Charlotte - YOu're too funny. You're HARDCORE -- I'm sure you'll be fine...........EMBRACE your inner MANIAC!!!

Deb - I don't usually burn that much on a leg workout, but Drill Max leg was pretty much a cardio/leg workout. I never burn anything if I'm doing lying leg work! When I first got my HR monitor, I'd sit around and let it run while I was working to see how many calories I burn when sitting.

I have a horrible headache and I don't know if it's a sinus one or migraine or muscle spasm one!!! LOL! I don't have any problems!
 
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAAAAAd! I missed all the good tickets for Eric Clapton. The good ones are all gone already.:( I'm not sitting in the nose bleeder section. Oh Well, I tried.

Amber, chin-ups are the easiest and are underhand. Pull-ups are harder and are overhand. "Wide grip" pull-ups being the hardest of all, but the ones that really develop the back. Chin-ups use alot more of your biceps. There a alot of different varieties in the workouts and you will love them all (evil laugh!) }(

Gotta go finish work. My fingers are going numb for some reason. I think I have raynaulds or something. My foot is numb too. Happened over all this stress over concert tickets and work is very stressful today. So there's my vent of the day. :)

Well, I brought it. And I left it in the basement! I did Chest & Back, AbX and CardioX. The CardioX didn't get my HR very high, but I'm gonna follow the program. I imagine Plyo gets your HR higher? I was going to do CardioX tomorrow, but had the time today. I suck at dive bomber pushups. I'm really good at the BOMB part. I hope I get better! My weight machine worked out fine for pullups. But I think the stand alone bar will be a little better.

Dallys - that's what I thought about the cardio. Thanks.

Char - I knew you'd blow me away on the fit test by far! You're so strong. I got a NEGATIVE SIX on the toe touch. I can't touch my toes. Isn't that sad? Are you really opening that HR monitor? You are BAD!!!

Suz - I had to practically go crazy with Cardio X and Kenpo X to get my HR high enough. You have to get creative and use your imaginiation. With Cardio X- I didn't have so much of a problem but Kenpo X - you have to add stuff to get it high enough. You may be too much of a maniac for P90X cardio - it's not really that difficult and not meant to be.....since it's a muscle building program. Good Luck. I'll be interested to see if you can even get it high enough with your biking history.

Here I amLora! I had to run a bunch of errands and stuff this morning. Picked up a few things at the store, bank, and stuff. Just been trying to relax the last hour or so. Watched Ice Age with the boys. Finally got the baby to sleep.

Still trying to plan my WO tonight.

Have a minute here.:) My finger is still numb and it's hard to type, cuz I can't feel the keys. This is only the second time this has happened, but last time it was a different hand and different finger. I also, just realized this is the time of year my customers bring me goodies! I have fresh-banana-bread in my house as I type! I think the freezer is calling it.}( I'm so in the mood for it too!

Suz- I think I've only done Cardio X 3 or 4 times total in both the rotations I've done. I like it, but it's not different enough from the other workouts, for me to do it alot. I used my weighted gloves in Kenpo and that helped raise the heartrate.

Lora-That is so funny! Let us know if you get that workout. I'm kinda surprised Mindy would do one like that. I'm mean she's no Carmen Electra! LOL!

Meg-Thanks, I'm mad about the tickets too, but I'll live.:)

O.k., I am all over the page with the pushups and pullups. Trying to figure out how to use the chair properly for the pullups to assist me....otherwise I do microscopic amounts.

I love the Dive bomber pushups and the lawnmowers were very easy and so were backflys.

Here is what I did:

Wide Front Pull Ups 20/14
Military Pushups 6/15
Reverse Grip Chin Ups 10/14
Wide Fly Pushups 14/9
Closed Grip Overhand Pullups 25/14

Still have to do Ab Ripper. See, I told you I was all over the page with numbers. This was more like a practice shot. Now that I have done it once, I will try and perfect it next time and do more and make sure I am doing it right. Hard to look at tv when your nose is to the floor. lol

You are all-over the page. LOL! Hey, it takes some adjusting at first. Suggestion on your Pull-ups (if I may :)). If you are getting that high of number, I think you are using to much assistance. Back the chair up or better yet, use some tubing to make it harder. Your push-ups look good. I always said to myself. I'm doing 20 and then if I only got 12 or so, I'd always finish to 20 on my knees. If I made it to 20 the # went up and so on. Keep upping the auntie!}(

My boss just told me that the department workers are waiting for me to decorate the office. I laughed and told my boss that they better not hold their breath.......cuz it's not gonna happen. Now I hear her and the supervisor discussing decorating the office tomorrow. I find this very amusing. Me decorate??? I don't have a domestic or crafty bone in my body!!! Don't they know me by now.

I'm going to the freakin' doctor now.............might not be back!!!

Yes, I obviously used the chair to assist me with the pullups. What do you mean by tubing? I am feeling strangely tired now. Think TTOM is a coming too. Gonna do Ab RipperX at 6:30, after I get back from taking my son to work and just before dh gets home.

Hi maniacs! Just finished up GymStyle legs. I love that workout. It's one of my favs.
Here's what I did:
Squats-48 bb
Lunges-12dbs
Plie-12dbs
Deadlifts-48 bb
Slow mo. lunges-10 dbs
Calves-BW (body weight)
Floorwork-Green band.

Gonna try and go heavier next time.:)

Char- Check out this link and you'll see what I mean by using the tubing or a band. The lighter the tubing the harder it is. It's so much better than a chair.

good afternoon maniacs!
Well I did bring it with Tony...he is hot, but I think he shaves his legs. I didn't notice that in Core...but today I most definately did in Abripperx.

I went low with the weights 8# because I didn't know what to expect, Next time I will go with 10's. Of course my plan failed to use the lat/delt thinggy on the weight tower, so I had nothing to do for pull ups and chinups. But, DH suggested I used the bar between the rafters that holds the punching bag to wrap the band around next time. I know I can barely do one chin up so I will stick to that for awhile then maybe in phase 2 get a chinup bar.

Abripper rocks! And I know one thing for sure, I have a lot of work to do with push ups. Lora you are right...I'm feeling it in the neck already!

So tomorrow is Pylo! Let's hope I can move! LOL

Anne- you must have injured something right? Good luck with the comeback, hopefully you will have no problem getting back into it.

Dallys...thanks, yes I think it will be awhile for either pullups or chinups, I need to gain some strength first. will be using bands for at least phase one. hope you have a less stressful day, numbness is a little strange. I LOVE eric clapton. layla...

suz, you are funny...you did cardiox too! Oh my. I'm not gonna kill myself yet. yes I was good at the the bomb part too, but I liked the modification, it worked until I got to number 4.hehe

You did good. Just do your best. A few years ago I could hardly do 6 pushups. Just takes more practice. So plyo tomorrow. Oh my! I love plyo stuff, but with Tony being the instructor, I might be biting my nails. I guess I should do that one in the am just as soon as I am done eating breakfast. Boy, that German girl in Chest and Back is really strong. Gosh, she did way more pushups them I could do. She must really be practicing, huh?

Dallys - so what cardio did you do during P90X? I get numb on the tips of my pointer fingers sometimes. Don't know why. It's weird, huh? What about the green tubing that Cathe uses? How is that for pull-ups?

Char - I wish I could do dive bombers without crashing at the bomber part! I think they look so cool. I hope I build some strength with those. I don't know why those are so hard for me. Practice, practice, practice. I'm pretty tired now too. And I've been hungry all day.

Amber - now I'm gonna have to check out Tony's legs! Great job today! What does Tony say - do your best and forget the rest???

Hey ladies. I am lazy and tired . Skipping tonite. Gonna start gettin up in the am..Long day at work..This is my recovery week. Gonna hit it hard tomorrow.....

No i have not injured. I am having a little something in my chest in Jan >.. LOL

Char, don't over do. there is 3 months....
Dallys great w/o . I use the barbell on my back for pile squats. I don't hold the lower.

Lora, check that ball.. Mine had the plug poking through the ball for the turbo jams on the ball. They look ok. I am gonna like them. Something different.I got online chat and they are sending me one.
Lots of lunge work and abs...

Char, i got 2 big p90x drinks in . They are not bad...

Char- Yeah, I think you'll like the band assist better. let me know. The german girl is strong on push ups. Wait till you see Dreya on Pull-ups in Legs and Back. She's an airealist(sp?) and is strong with pull-ups.

Suz- For cardio, besides riding my bike, and walking, I used the turbo Jams the most. I used Cathes new ones a couple of times at the end. Like the cardio in BB2 and the Cardio on LIC, which were real good. I didn't go all out and do extra long cardio, just about 30 to 50 min. was good for me. You gotta make it work so you don't get burned out.:) Sometimes if I did a real good bike ride, I skipped KenpoX or PlyoX for that week. Yeah, my numb finger is driving me nuts. Wonder what it is. As for the green band, if you use it to assist around your knee, not as a pull-down, it might work. Try it and see. It might be to light and maybe not long enough if you have to tie it on the bar. It's definitely too easy for the pull-down way. You should check out the tubes at Beachbody. They are really good quality and heavy. I used the green BB tube for my assisted pull-ups.

Anne- I'll try that with the plies squats. I haven't got my TJ's yet. I need to call them. How long did it take for yours to come?
