Today was Cathe Live Step Express w/ blasts, 41 minutes, 321 calories, HR 133 avg/ 159 max. I wanted an hour so I Get Steppin (I think that is the name, it is the last step Cathe has done) starting after the first 6 minutes to skip the warm up and stopping after the 2nd combo and doing the stretch, 24 minutes, 172 calories, HR 135 avg/a45 max) Total time 65 minutes, 493 calories. My weight has dropped back down a bit over the last week. I am figuring part of it is from the water retention you get with a lot of meds. I am not taking the stuff for the shoulder anymore. That and a few less calories.
Debbie, I think mostly enjoy Orange Roughy and Mahi Mahi but, decent quality. Fish should not have a strong fish taste. Not if it is fresh. When I eat the tilapia I get at the grocery store it reminds me of fishy smell and dirt. I cook my fish to where it is almost dry. I can't eat it the way many want to prepare it. Again, seasonings and sauces. Schwan's has some of the best tasting tilapia (loins). They seriously do not remind me of any tilapia I have ever eaten. I need to start ordering from them again.
Jolie, good job with the chest work. I have not plan right now. I am waiting till I think I can do a whole routine without having to stop. I got two new pair of shoes in December. I like them both for different reasons. The Cross Fit Nano has a nice wide base for balance and weights so I like them for that and the fact that there is plenty of toe room. But I got the other pair for cardio and agility type stuff along with step. The Nano has a lot of tread that catches on the step and carpet so I prefer less traction for the cardio stuff. The second pair is an Adidas trainer and has the toe room but hugs the heel a bit better. I like them a lot and they were not really expensive. I like protein bars and have made some that I really like. There is one in the Fixate cookbook that has almond butter and oat flour in them with whey. They are really good. The pumpkin energy bars in Fixate are good too. They have to be refrigerated though. It takes work to find what to do differently to make that difference. I get worried when I watch the scale keep moving up. It is silly because my clothes all seem to fit pretty much the same and I was surprised to see my body fat had dropped during Hammer and Chisel. I try no to be a slave to the scale and most of the time stay off of it.
