Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Tracey Long Training - Strength in Movement. Workout was 64" long and I only burned 334 calories. I wanted to do a FF workout today cuz I think I might start back on my Jillian book rotations next week.

Ugh....I've got a migraine and cramps. It's TTOTM for the 2nd time this month. I guess all of this testing, job worry, etc. is getting the best of my system. My pain started flaring a couple of days ago and I had no idea why........but now I know. Always happens at this time of the month.

I've got my appointment for the rest of my testing at the Temp Agency this morning and I'm interviewing with the Nursing Department today since I'm a Medical Secretary. I've got to drive Mom to her eye doc today also.

Today is my sons birthday...17!

Yesterday I worked back/legs. Here is what I did:

Reverse Grip Chin Ups 6/6/4 (I have done 9 before, but oh well)
Lat Pulldowns 80# 3 sets/6
Pullovers with 45# db 3 sets/8
One Arm Rows w/35# db 3 sets/8

Leg Ext w/85# 3 sets/8
ATG Squats 80# 3 sets/8
Deadlifts 110# 3 sets/8
Firewalkers

I need to work abs this morning and will ride a bike if weather is decent in the evening, after work. I got very little sleep. My sons friend has called after midnight both night before and then last night..says by mistake he has called. I was so mad I could not fall back asleep. I wanted to truly hurt that boy!!!!! I was so tired. I got everything done yesterday I wanted to do and managed to wash my car in the dark because I have little time today since I work this morning.

Good Morning, today I did Tracey's Sweatfest Kickbox. I am taking my granddaughters to school and will come back and work abs/core and yoga. I need to get used to getting up earlier again. I stayed up way to late last night. I am tired.

Lora, good luck with the job interview and testing. I hope your migraine improves.

Charlotte, you have been a busy girl! I would tell that boy to make sure he does not do that anymore. Glad you got everything done that you wanted to. Good workout.

Today is my rest day. I'm glad I did my cardio yesterday. Got some running around to do but nothing pressing.

Lora & Char - Nice workouts!!! Char, you'll get the pullup numbers up again. Have you not done them in a while?

Not sure I posted this last night, but I did the ab work from KPC and then walked 2 miles. I love that ab work, it's the best!
 
Good morning. I feel like a broken record cuz...I don't know what WO I am doing! LOL! Let you know of course.
I am feeling a bit sore today, abs too, which is nice.

Char- Hope your son has a great bday. And you get some peaceful sleep tonight!

Lora- hope you feel better, and much luck today on your testing too.

Deb- enjoy today, you certainly deserve it after the WO's you have been kicking out lately.

DS- I stay up way to late every night too!

Just finished....right at 60min....CTX all step and added the cardio portions of HSC and then did SJP abs.

Kids, ya gotta love'em. Thank goodness I have only one...don't know how many phonebills I could pay. LOL!! He calls this morning a little short and the deadline is today. Of course I'll fork it out....but when he gets out of college I'm cutting him off.....Oh, but then he'll get married....then the grandkids....Hmmmmmm.

Back from my testing. They said I did "good", but I know my Excel test wasn't all that great.......but at least I passed and they think so. It was very nerve-wracking again. I hate being tested. I also interviewed with the Medical Staffing Department and had to watch videos. JOY!! They weren't exercise videos either LOL!!!

Dallys - Broolkyn's deathly afraid of our camera. She hates the flash. I can never get a good picture of her anymore. Our babies are funny!

Toasty - you sure are a busy girl. Don't forget about the full moon update coming up on the 27th.

I've been MIA. Strep throat has made me miss a weeks worth of working out:( I feel fat and weak! Today i'm starting cathe's Aug '07 rotation. Dont know how well i'm going to do on BM2 I might pass out!

Hey Maniacs! Lunch time for me. Spinach-raspberry-strawberry-chicken-feta cheese-almond salad.:9 Made my own dressing with Udos oil-plain yogurt-strawberry jam-vinegar. Turned out really good!

Lisa- Can we ever cut off our kids? LOL! My boy (19) is taking complete advantage of my dh and me. I don't know if he'll EVER move out as good as he's got it. Dh and I are pathetic. It's like that movie "Failure to launch". I'm gonna have to hire Sara Jessica Parker to get him outta here. LOL!

Randi- Sorry you've had strep throat. BM2 will probably kill you! Take it easy.:)

Lora-Good luck with the job search. Yeah, our pets are funny aren't they?:) They can only tolate so much from us.

Quick check-in...but I'll be back to read up on y'all later. :)

This morning I did PUB (didn't get it done last night, surprise, surprise). Skipped the abs and did Ab Ripper X. Then DH and I went on a 31 mile bike ride. As usual, it was FAST and as a result it was HARD for me. There was a 10mph wind out of the south so we planned our ride accordingly. The wind switched on us and was out of the north when we got back. That sucks! It took us 1 hour and 44 minutes. Our average speed was 18.5. I love riding with him b/c he pushes me so much. It's a love/hate thing. I took the day off to spend with him since tomorrow we have that cop's funeral and since it will be a BIG cop-type funeral it will take up most of the day. DH has to be there at 10 and it doesn't start til 2.

We're going to shower now and go to Qdoba for lunch and then go see if there are any great deals on cycling clothes at our favorite place - Sierra Trading Post. We LOVE that store. :)

Need advice -- my legs have been pretty sore since I've been home from Vegas, but I continue to work them cuz I need to make them smaller and I think I remember hearing to rest them if you want to build muscle and not rest them if you want smaller legs. Should I rest them from time to time though? I've been pretty sore in my legs for a number of days now. I think all of the cycling is contributing.

Dallys - your salad sounds delectable. Did you make it? Except, I'd sub the feta cheese (yuk).

Suz- I got my cycling shorts I ordered online. They are Pearl Izumi's from REI. I had no idea what to get. Anyway, they are GOD AWFUL UGLY. They are super high waisted and long. My DH really laughs when I go downstairs with my cast/boot and shorts, etc. Plus, I get absolutely soaked when I wear them. They are polyester, nylon and spandex. I was thinking of sending them back cuz I wore them once and I swear, I got worse "down there", but I figured I'd try them again. If you can tell me about "hipper" looking shorts........I'd consider sending these suckers back. thanks in advance!
 
I finished my workout. I warmed up a little then did Tracey Staehle's Sweatfest sculpt premixes balance and ab blaster, then I did Amy's All Pump Ex core, I finished with Eoin Finns's PYFH Magically Hips yoga. Need to get some things done.

Lora - so far my favorite Papa Roach songs are: Forever, I Devise my Own Demise, Suffication, Reckless, The Fire and To Be Loved. Awesome songs.
 
Deb - those are some of my favorites also. especially Forever, Reckless, To Be Loved, Devise My Own Demise.....not sure I've heard The Fire or Suffication. Maybe those are from the CD I'm waiting for to arrive. The Getting Away With Murder CD is really good and here's some of my fave's off of it in case you want to download them.....Take Me, Be Free, Blood. I just think it makes excellent workout music!
 
Lora - You poor thing! Cycling shorts aren't super pretty. I think the reason they are so high waisted is so that when you're really bent over like on a road bike, you're not flashing your butt crack to the world. :p I have a pair of Shebeest that I really like. I wore them today. They have a great chamois. The ones I have are much shorter and a bit lower. But I can't tell you what model number. :( And they do make longer ones too, so you'd have to be careful. I tried to measure the inseam, but there's not really a seam where the chamois stops. But, I went to www.performancebike.com, a place where we get a lot of stuff, and look at these shorts (Item #10-9986A in case the link doesn't work):

If it's the tight spandex that is making you all sweaty, maybe you should get some mountain bike shorts. They are loose but still have the chamois in them. You might like that better.
