Morning Maniacs -

This morning had a great workout. Did SWAT Strength followed by Sarah Lurie's Kettlebell Express. Used heavier weights than normal and a heavier Kettlebell. Got my HR up to 150 just during the Squat, Clean and Press KB segment. Listened to 3 Doors Down & Theory of A Deadman. Did part of Amy's 10 Min Solution Bootcamp abs....but ran out of time and most of it was standing......and I couldn't get into it. Workout was 67" and I burned 570 calories....pretty good for zero impact, huh??

Good Morning, I got the cardio portion of my workout in this morning. Have to take the grandchildren to school so will do some floorlegs and yoga when I return. I ran on the treadmill for 1hr16 minutes, 5.27 miles, and burned 737calories. 27min was in my zone. HR was 143avg. and 166 high.
 
Morning Ladies,

TGIF……………….YAHOO :D I’m only working half day today, me last free day

This morning, I didn’t know what to do:mad: B&G was on my rotation but I still feel a little sore in my legs & Butt from GS legs workout the other day. I ended up doing KPC and MIS abs S&H planks, I had a fantastic workout;)

Well, DH (and that does not stand for dear right now :p) doesn't want me to take the job at the gym, because the pay is so lousy. Which it is, but I want to do it for a little while anyway for the experience.


Here is this morning workout:

Superset A
RDL
8/8/8 - 119 *don't how much higher I can go*

Stability Ball Jackknifes

Somehow I got mixed up and screwed up sets A & B :confused:, the lunges were suppose to be first with the planks then the RDL's with the jackknifes. Oh well. Also I will be surprised if I can walk at all tomorrow if not later tonight, I was on this morning and really hit my legs hard.

Then I did cardio 6 rounds at 60/60 ratio using Bootcamp drills 3 x 2, 7 X 2 and 3 x 2 again.

DianeSue - I can't believe the kids in your area are already back to school. So when do they finish?
 
Hi Maniacs!

Good morning all, haven't been on lately, everyone seems to want a divorce all of a sudden so I have been working non-stop! I had a few minutes this morning to check the last few days of posts.

Diane Sue- Doesn't it figure it's on your face? Good thing DD has such a great eye though, it could be much worse! I can't imagine being without my DH for that long..you are a strong woman for sure.

Debbie- I hope you have fabulous time...even though it kills Char to hear...Eat anything you want!

Lora- Sucks to have conflict at home, you are in my thoughts. You've been married a long time, too long for the doubts of DH.

Char- you are the canning woman lately..what are you gonna do with all that pumpkin? Glad DH is coming along, I'm sure that it a big relief for your entire family and most of all you.

Linda-Congrats on the Job offer, sometimes you just have go with your gut, but what a huge compliment too.

Teddygirl...you have me thinking I should switch up next week to 4DS what do you do the other two days of the week?

Dallys...Rob is catching on heh? that still cracks me up having a baby bird. Hey, I've been meaning to ask you what you think of using a dremel on my two boston terrier's nails? We lost our beloved lab last summer and I now have two little ones. (DH had to do something to fix my broken heart.) Anyway, I hate the clippers leaving a raw edge and have been reading up on the dremel and that peticure thingy on TV.

My Week:
This morning I did Abripper x, KILLA, I'm sure I'll be hunched over tomorrow! Later will do Ripped 1000.
I've been alternating Amy's ASC, ASCII with Jari Love (one of the 5? I have). I really want to drop a few pounds before hitting the heavy weights cuz I tend to bulk up if don't do that first.

I'll BBL, today is catch up in the office day!

Amber: Hello:) I’ve only done 4DS upper body, haven't tried the others yet. I am pretty much open to do whatever workout I want, legs, kick boxing, jogging or step aerobics. Our you a Lawyer?

SheWolf: I love that name:p reminds me of the movie "Dancing With Wolves" or something like that, been years. Nice workout:D

Hi Teddy...the rest of 4DS is fun. Do you mean you haven't done the Kickbox on 4DS? you must try it! and yes, but it ain't all that!

Yes, I have been canning my arse off here lately. Don't think there is anything else to can. Just feeling like I want to do everything all the time. Keeps me distracted..trying to read a book about The Art of Mindfulness..LMAO!!!

Ya'll doing some good workouts burning all them calories and I am just sitting here. arrrggghhhh
 
Morning Maniacs! This morning I did Slim Series Tear it Up. This is the one that killed my hamstrings last week. We'll see if it will do it again. Usually I only get sore the first time I do a workout and then not the 2nd time. Might go on a bike ride in the canyon later, don't really want too, but dh and his friend might go and I don't want to be left out, lol. I'd rather go tomorrow cuz it's my rest day in this Slim Series rotation.

Lora- Nice workout! I swear I don't know half of the workouts you own, lol!

Diane Sue- I have a little spot on my nose that I need to have the doc look at. I've already had a spot on my eyebrow burned off. Skin cancer runs in my family.:(

Teddy- Love that you had a fantastic workout! Enjoy your half day off. I'm off work today and am loving it!

Linda- Great job on the TT workout! Are you a member of his forum? It's tough with that PT job situation. To bad the pay isn't better. I'd love to do that, but the pay is such a turn off. But, you gotta start somewhere.

Amber- Yep, Rob is finally catching on.:) He seems to be eating less and i think it's cuz he's not growing as fast. He loves blueberries and they don't even grow around here, so that worries me a bit. Hope he can figure it all out on his own. I love the dremel! You need to get those little guys used to it PRONTO! Just remember to hold each individual nail tight as you file, so there is little vibration as possible, they hate that. If you don't do it on a weekly basis, you will probably have to trim the nail first with a nail clipper. I have to do that on most dogs that come in, because the nails are to long to use the dremel that long (dogs have their limit on toe time, lol). It's more of a finishing tool at that point. I'm tempted to buy one of those peticure things, but I hear they might come out with a professional model. I hear the battery sucks and the costumer service is bad. So I'm waiting a bit. The idea is really good though. Then again, I should just buy it and check it out.

Toasty- I'm also curious as to what you do with the canned pumpkin. I have a rouge pumpkin plant that is taking over my yard. It's already crawling over my front porch like it's obsessed! I love to roast the seeds!

Yeah, I've been trying to watch some Olympics but haven't had much time. Half the time I turn it on it's frickin boxing, it seems like. I did watch the USA softball team beat Canada last night, though; it's amazing how sports you wouldn't normally care for become ten times cooler in the Olympics.

I'll be working out later but I'm not sure what yet. I've done PUB, PLB, a rest day, and a yoga/abs day this week, and I want to do two circuits and a cardio for the rest of the week, but I'm not sure if that would be too much. I could do one circuit two cardios, but I am trying not to overdo cardio since I want to gain a little weight. Could do one circuit one cardio one rest/yoga, but I feel like I've already rested enough this week. Grrrrrrrrr!
 
Afternoon maniacs,
Did Drill Max cardio premix, the 39 min one. Was too pooped to do longer kind of cardio. Besides, this kicks my butt good and I always lose weight the next day. Probably from sweating so much.

Linda- How much do you get paid at the gym? My gym is 25 for level one and 35 for level two per session. The gym charges 79 dollars per session and trainers only get either 25 or 35 bucks. I don't think that is terrible. We're also covered by the gym insurancewise so that's good for us. If you work for Jackie Warner at her Sky Sport gym, you'd get paid 150 dollars an hour as a level one trainer. I'd love to work there! LOL :D

Toasty- Enjoy your break. You deserve it. I'll work out extra hard for you. :eek:

Dallys- That's great Rob is finally eating on his own some. I don't know why he's not eating worms yet? Maybe it's too big? You might have to cut it up. :confused: I can picture your face now. LOL :D

WD- Sorry to hear about your nose. At least she caught it. What's Bill doing in Kosovo? Is he training the police there?

LOL! I've handled so many worms (and I was a major worm-a-phobe, [is that a word?]) in the last few weeks, nothing you can say about them will phase me now. I usually cut them up for him after I've shocked them in hot water (that's fun to watch!). Now we are trying live wiggley halfs of worms in a bowl. DH thinks he ate one today...or it crawled out of the bowl:eek:, we'll see. He's really going down on the blueberries, so his lil' poops look like a little blueberry with a titch of white in them...idn't that cute!?:p

Hermia- They've started the track and field stuff, so keep an eye out for that. I've loved the gymnastics, swimming and the Volleyball, so far.....

Dallys- You'll probably find a worm on your pizza tonite. :p Does his poop smell berry fresh? :eek: I hate it when the baby or adult birds eat berries and poop on you or in a box...Their poop smells so disgusting! Do you let him out of the box to hobble around or he stays in the box? Also, I'm thinking of getting Tony's 10 min trainer. I know you liked it a lot and Lora's so-so about it....Do you think it's worth the money and how hard is it?
 
The weight portion of my workout was Butts and Guts floorwork wearing 5# ankle weights, then Amy Bento's 10 minute solution tone trouble zones lower body segment using my blue heavy challenge pro band. I finished with Flexible Warrior yoga swim segment. That is as far as my grandbaby would tolerate. LOL

Lisa, Bill is in Kosovo working with the police. He is working for the UN. He will be doing some organization of their police. I am lucky to have a daughter in Dermatology. She is good at it and catches things early. I will be a little bruised but she says it will be about a 3/4 inch cut on my nose in the crease so once it heals it should not be that noticeable. She says she would say the one on my back has been there about a year:0

Dallys, you and Rob crack me up. LOL Glad I saw all of my baby birds leave the nest. caught them trying to make it over the fence by way of the firewood. Parents were coaxing them along:D Skin cancers seem to run in my family too.

Charlotte, good for you scheduling a colonoscopy and mammogram. Glad I did all of these tests because I really covered a lot of stuff this year.

Amber, what's up with the divorces?? Do people not go to work because of it??
Yes, my dd has a real good eye when it comes to skin. Once when my Dad was here she offered to have him stay longer so she could do one on his face. He went home and his doctor did it. Funny though because I will catch her studying me and she is looking for stuff.

Linda, school starts early but it ends mid May. I think they do it this way to avoid the heat in schools that do not have air conditioning.
 
Hey again! Just got back from mountain bike ride. Went on the long hard one up in the canyon. Felt easier this time and we actually went farther than last time.

Here's my stats:

Time 2 hrs. 32 min. (can't believe I did this on top of 80 min. of Tear it Up this morning! The human body is amazing!)
Cals burned 1015 (Hee Haw!)
Avg. hr. 145 (not bad)
In Zone 1 hr.13 min.
HR high 48 min. (these would be steep hills climbs baby!)
HR low 31 min. (these would be pee stops and talking to other bikers and catching breath, Oh, and a crash from dh friend!:eek: etc. So, actual in-the-saddle time was about 2 hrs.)

Diane Sue- Yeah, I don't advise trying to save a baby robin (although it's hard not too) It's alot of work and takes longer than you think it will.

Lisa- Yeah, definitely not a fan of the bird poop. lol! Good thing we keep him outside so I'm sure my Pizza is safe (wish I had some of that about now!) We tried to let him roam around the yard, but he tried to take off...to risky just yet without a mommy. He can fly, but not very well yet. I like the 10 min. trainers and think the Tonster packs a whollup (aging myself here:p) in 10 min. time. They are over-priced, but I think I'll get good use out of them. Does that help?

Just finished my workout. I got BodyMax 2 from the yaya swap in the mail today---yay! I previewed the upper body and abs and didn't think the upper body looked super challenging, but I struggled more than I thought I would. I did that and the abs. Tomorrow I'm going to Santa Monica to run stairs with my friend somewhere near the beach. How I feel after that will determine Sunday's workout.

Dallys....wow...I think even a fraction of that ride would slay me.

Pebblesus, that's really cool of your bf to spot you. =)
