Morning Maniacs -

Off to do my Jillian Circuit. Running late this morning, as there was a Lunar Update on the BPAL oil site and I was looking it over.

Toasty - Red Moon is back.....not sure if you ever tried it.

Be back later.

Good Morning
Last night did Kick Max. This mornin I'm doing Cardio and weights:) Haven't done that one in a long time. I'm also going to purchase the new workouts!!

I'm off today and heading out to deliver Avon. Beautiful day today. I'm getting lucky with these beautiful days lately for my deliveries! Woo hooo!

Good Morning, today I am doing Slim and Lean and some Kickboxing. I will probably add in some calves as I don't think any of the Get Ripped workouts have calf work.

Debbie, enjoy that nice weather. We have had rain for so long I have forgotten what it is like to enjoy the sunshine.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today is P90X Leg day and ab ripperx.

Debbie,

Beautiful day? Not here. Wet looking and muggy. Enjoy your day..glad it is nice for ya.

Lora,

Red moon smell nice? I already checked out the site. I think the soaps are too high though, but I bet Bordello would make a nice soap.

Suz,

Thanks for the info! We have a elliptical now so I am definitely going to be looking into the cardio coach workouts as soon as I get money.

Diane Sue,

I think I will substitute plyo's for bike ride and bring that in the P90X mix and see what happens. Thanks for the encouraging advice.

I ended up doing Jillian's Frontside Circuit and then I added on The Firm - Core Solution - Traditional Abs 10" and Lotte Berk Essentials Blast 10" and for the stretch, I used Cathe's LIC. I left my HRM running thru the abs, Lotte and Stretch. Workout was 1 hour 20" and I burned 420 calories (around 320 at the end of the Circuit). I used my 20# DB's for chest flyes and 25# DB's for chest presses, 10 & 12# DBs for triceps, 8#'s for anterior shoulder raises and 10-12#'s for medial delt raises. I added my ankle weights and 12# DBs for abs and I FINALLY did planks with 8 pounds on my back. (Speaking of weighted planks - where do you ladies place the weight plate on your back when you're doing them? - opposite from your abs?? coreect?). I hope my shoulders don't rebel from the weighted planks. This is the first time I've used weight during planks. I also did Ravi & Ana's Fat Free Yoga- Start Your Engines segment.

Toasty - Red Moon is a very unique scent. It is sort of a warm, slightly resiny, slightly floral scent with a bit of Dragon's Blood. Nothing is overdone in Red Moon. It's pretty balanced... not too heavy on the Dragon's Blood, Marigold, etc.....thus if you didn't like one particular aspect of the scent....you'd probably still like it since it's so evenly blended. Don't know how else to describe it...but I'm pretty sure you'd like it, but then I may be totally wrong.

Suz - I doubt CC will kill you when you bike 62 miles outdoors!!

Diane Sue - I rec'd my Kundalini DVD "Detox & Destress" with Maya Fiennes. I don't know how often I'll end up using it, as it's 60" long and it isn't really able to be broken up like most Ravi & Ana DVDs. Kundalini yoga is weird enough and something about the lady that leads it freaks me out a bit. Not sure if I just need to get used to her or what. For now, I still favor Ravi & Ana's practices...due to the fact you can do most of them in segments. I'm only telling you about this DVD cuz I thought you mentioned it once before during the Deep Discount DVD sale. I think if you ever do decide to venture out and try Kundalini, I'd go with Ravi & Ana.

Hi to everyone else who follows. Have great workouts everyone.

Morning Maniacs! I'm getting very bored, jittery, antsy, miserable, lazy, etc. by not working out much this week. I need to get back to my usual. On a good note, we are leaving today for the weekend and will be taking the bikes, so I should feel better in the next day or two. We are going to Torrey (picturetrail) again. Most of my family will be going. It's a very small town so they celebrate the 4th this Saterday. It's fun to see the little parade that goes up the street...turns around...comes back down the street. Should get to do really fun stuff like see the quilt show and the 4-wheel tug-of-war. LOL!!!!

Char- I didn't know you'd bought an elliptical! You do need the CC's now! They are pretty cheap so it should'nt be to much of a problem for you.}( I'll be curious to see if it does help get the 'adorable butt' thing. Keep us posted. Did you order Cathe's new ones?

Randi- I ordered the new workouts too. I like the sound of them alot!

Debbie- Enjoy your day off and have fun with the deliveries. It's a nice day here too. Gonna get hot though.

Diane Sue- Have fun doing slim and lean.:)

Suz- Have fun with Push and Play. I've had that forever and haven't done it yet.

Lora- Great workout as usual. I wonder about the weight with planks. They put pressure on my shoulders too. I'd probably come out with some kind of injury with a weight on my back. LOL!

ETA: Oh! I had a great salad the other day that I thought you all might like. It was spinach leaves and you just add blueberries, raspberries, and toasted (toasted is key here) pecans, with a raspberry vinegrette dressing. This combo was simple and extra tastey!:9

Holy moly! That was a great workout! I'm supposed to ride with DH tomorrow, so I hope he goes easy on me. He plans to ride for an hour and I plan to ride for two. Well, we'll just see what my legs have left tomorrow. They might not HAVE two hours in them. Press Play (or Push and Play, as Dallys calls it :p ) is a goodie.

Randi - I love all of the variety of Cathe workouts you do. You just keep on going and going - like the energizer bunny!

Debbie - How's the finger? Or fingers?

Char - I've GOTTA do Ab Ripper. My poor neglected abs. A strong core is really necessary in cycling.

Diane Sue - Do you work your calves regularly? I neglect those too. I'm so unbalanced. :p I guess they get a workout on the bike but that's only part of the year. You wear a size 1??? Yikes! You have such great muscle tone. The perfect body.

Lora - I think my 62.5 mile ride might have been easier than Press Play. My legs were tired this morning for some reason. Planks with a weight on your back? Yowza!

Dallys - Your weekend sounds fun!

Storm - What a bummer. :( I hope you have a great vacation though.

Back to work. It's getting windy outside. But supposed to be hot today.

Hi Everyone,

I've been busy at work, so not much time to post. I'm taking my lunch at my desk, and eating a healthy turkey sandwich on wheat bread as I'm posting. Didn't go on my walk last night due to I had a really bad headache.
Tonight I plan on doing Slow and Heavy, Chest and Back. I think I'll try to start doing both body parts now. I'm gonna walk 4 miles this weekend with hubby. Tomorrow is going to be raining all day, but I have a treadmill, so I can walk on it if need be. What's all the talk on the CC's, I'm interested in those, if it will push me. Where do you get them? Maybe I should go back and read earlier posts. Sounds like everyone is doing great with their workouts! Oh, and tonight I'm having a Salmon salad with light dressing! Then I may have a WW treat.
Suz or Dallys what is push and play or Press Play?

I finished my workout and am having lunch. Salmon and salad. Yum:) I started my workout with Tracey's Sweatfest Kickbox, then I did Ripped Slim and Lean( I go heavier on most moves on this and add weight to a couple of exercises that are non weighted) then I did Push & Pull Calves 2 times with a 25# dumbbell, finished with Rainbeay Mars Dawn Bonus yoga workout(10 min). I am going to Home Depot in a little bit to get a vinyl runner for our trailer to try and keep mud from tracking in when we are camping. It is still pouring rain:O

Lora, thanks for the information on the Kundalani workout. I did ask if you had it. If the woman kind of freaks you out she would probably definitely bother me. Did you get my PM about the Crocs Rx shoes?

Charlotte, Plyometrics sounds like a good idea:)

Suz, yes I try to always incorporate calf work. They do get worked some during most cardio workouts. I just figure if I am trying to shape my legs I need to shape the whole thing. You know I even have some old Navy pants that are a 0! I can't lose anymore off my backside or I will have a real problem shopping. I am usually better off keeping my weights heavy. I think the endurance workouts I have been doing the last 3 weeks are counterproductive because all of my clothes are getting looser. I am going back to Heavy stuff after this. Like to keep up my endurance levels though to round my fitness levels out. I used to wear 5's. A year ago it was 3's. I still have some of those and they need a belt.:0 The thing is when I gain the weight it seems to come out as saddle bags and cellulite. For me heavy weights and lots of cardio to burn the fat off seems to work best. (Diet too :)

Anne, sorry you have such a mess:(

Sorry, such a long post!! Got chatty:)

Dallys - You're right.

This gal in my office wears SO MUCH PERFUME and usually the really cheap stuff. But today she's wearing some Estee Lauder stuff. She was yesterday too. I got a migraine yesterday and then again today. I didn't put 2 + 2 together until today. I'd been doing so well with the migraines. I figured a lot of it was b/c of the Topamax but I guess a lot of it is b/c I've been avoiding all of my triggers too since now I'm faced with a trigger and whammy - migraines! I decided I better say something b/c we work in an enclosed area and it's not worth suffering. I was gentle. I didn't mention the fact that she douses herself with it, only that there are certain fragrances that I don't tolerate well. She took it well and said she won't wear it. She did say that she's been wearing it off and on since Dec. and I said that I've had migraines off and on since then but they've been getting better with the drugs I'm on. :) She said she will wear it one day next week and see if I get one. WELL THAT'S NICE!

Diane Sue - That makes sense. I tend to get unbalanced b/c I neglect body parts. I suppose that causes injuries too. I don't know if I mentioned I injured my shoulder again the other day doing pushups. I really need to get more focused on my lifting. I just get too wrapped up in cardio in the summer and I have no plan for lifting and I know that's not good. I can't even imagine a size 0! I would like to lean out some more and get rid of that cellulite. Maybe I should add in heavier weights.

Hey again,

Okay now I know what the cc's are. Now I'm hating that I give my Eliptical to my daughter. I've got a treadmill that my mother gave me cause she wasn't using it, then I noticed it doesn't have the incline, but at least it does have program settings so maybe that would work as well, don't know. Worth trying though.

Charlotte, I'm the same way about the curve just underneath the cheeks. I want that so bad. My hubby was telling me last night that my backside is looking better along with my legs, but when I look in the mirror, it makes me sick! I guess we're our own worse critics! DH tells me if I do legs twice a week that should get me the look I'm wanting. I just can't lift very heavy because of my knees and having the weight on my shoulder's.

How do you set up a picture trail? How safe is it? I would like to post some pics but not sure about how secure it is.

Suz - glad you liked press play. I love Challenge 1, that is my most favorite out of all the challenges in the CC series. My finger(s) are better, still purple but no pain.

It has been in the lower 70's all day today and sunshine. No humidity. The day of perfection here in Ohio!

Debbie - I sure did like PP. It was killer. :) I don't have #1 so that was my first time doing that challenge and I LOVED it too! What ISN'T good about the CC's? Nothing in my opinion.

Sandy - Your treadmill will be better than nothing. I had one that I used on my trip that didn't have an incline and I made the best of it. You'll make it work. I have faith in you.

I'm off to a retirement party for our HR director. He's been there for 23 years. It's a bbq at his house outside of town (the opposite side of town than where I live of course - they call it their mini ranch). DH is having a couple of guys over from work so it worked out well. I won't be tempted to cheat since GUESS WHAT CHARLOTTE - DH wants to go to the Macaroni Sin Palace AGAIN tomorrow! That's unlike him to want to go two weekends in a row. We are going to split a meal though. But the bread...
