Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did P90 X Legs and Back. I used weights on some of the leg exercises. I wasn't really into this workout this morning. I'm getting sick of this rotation and don't know if I can make it for 3 more weeks to the end.

I'm bummed cuz I have to go out to work Sunday and do Payroll. My boss is going in too cuz she has to approve it. JOY!!

DB - I usually work out 1 hour on Tues & Thursdays 1 to 1.5 on Mon, Wed, Friday and on the weekends, up to 3 hours.

Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check in from work later, if possible.
 
Morning Maniacs!

Today is just abs for me. Friday is the day I take a break from the gym and Cathe workouts (most of the time;-)) 1 hour of Core Max is on Fit TV at 7 this morning so I'm ganna do it. Then some sit-ups later. I know I'm up early today.

I still have DOMS in my chest from wednesday, but they're not as bad. I did all legs yesturday and felt as I really worked hard. But I'm not sore;( But my chest still is. Weirdx(

Lora- How long have you been doing that rotation? Maybe its time to change it. I heard that you should change your routine or vary it every 2-3 weeks.
Also, Your boss has to APPROVE what you do. Thats dumb. I bet you'd do a better job of it if he weren't there:)

Accually guys, scratch what I said before. I did segement 3 core max and segement 3 stretch max this morning (wasn't planned or anything, it was just on Fit TV and I was up so I did it) When it finally came for stretch max, I relized that my butt was a little sore and my quads just a little too. I guess my leg work yesturday was good. Maybe I should make it tougher though or something}(

Today is Legs..
Had a rockin chest w/o and the band work on tri's i grabbed my stronger purple one. It was much harder.
Did 20's for all the chest till the last flies i had to drop m to 15.I was shakin too bad.
I do think the push ups do you in for that one , but i am still trying.
Well, they changed my windshield and it still glares. Me and DH went out to store last night. He sees it too, but he is so used to wearing glasses and the glare from them , it doesn't bother him. I am going back today. He is going down there for me..
I am going to try to cool my temper, but i am pissed. 37 grand for something that you can't drive at night. Why should i try to get used to it?I have 20/20 and it makes me feel like i am 1/2 blind.

GS Legs are menued for tonite. I love legs. I cry on the band stuff , but love them.
I am trying to be as strong as Diane Sue, and Lori, and , Char.
You are my idols.

Good Morning,

Thanks everyone for your input on times and amounts of w/o's. Really helps to get me motivated to know what others are doing so that I can challenge myself to do the same. More or less like "She/he's doing it, so I can too!". Hardly anyone I know works out, so knowing there's other's out there that put in as much time as I do (and actually more in most cases it seems) is refreshing.

Adri - How do you like Stretch Max? I'm thinking of getting it for my days off. I love a good Stretch.

Today is Friday AND today is a rest day. Thanks goodness! I have blisters on my heels the size of craters from those stupid shoes I bought last week. I tried bandaids and duct tape yesterday to help them out (I'm back to wearing my old shoes btw. Not trying to create further foot pain.) Tomorrow will probably be a full body workout - Bootcamp, Cardio and Weights, Bodymax, who knows.

Have fun with legs today. I had fun with them yesturday...Well not really:7LOL. I think I need to make my leg routine at the gym harder or add more wieght. I was only alittle sore today. I liek being sore

I liked Stretch Max. It was good. I couldn't find my medium tension band though so I had to use my hard purple one. O well it still worked;-)

I don't own stretch max or core max, but they are good workouts. I'll probally get them some day.

DB - if you like a GOOD stretch. Have you ever tried power yoga? It's the best stretch I can get these days. I have Stretch Max also and it's okay.

Today will be Kickboxing, abs,calves as well, since I missed them this week and stretch.

Lora, you have done so well with this rotation. If your seeing results I would finish it out. I know by the end of the 90 day rotation I did I was getting pretty tired of it. For me it wasn't so much the weight work because that changes. It was Plyo X every week and Kempo X. I like these but 3 months of that got old.

DB, I really like Stretch Max. I add it onto my workouts quite often or use it when I feel tight muscles (after a short w/up of course). I would get rid of those shoes. I have had that experience. IMO I think shes should not leave blisters ever or need a break in period. So far I have had good luck w/ all of my Sauconys

Anne, Sorry your windshield did not work out. Good for you using the purple band for triceps. It sounds like your getting in some good workouts.

Adri, I think a little sore is good. I don't like a lot of sore though. If it hangs on to long I figure I probably over did it. I really don't want to injure something. I had some DOMS last night in my back, triceps, & shoulders. I don't feel it today so I am ready for the next weight workout:)

Good point. I don't wanna overdo it too much like you said. I don't go to the gym on Friday, but did some things this morning (seg.3 core and stretch max) Like stretch max and core max is ok. Not as intense as I would have liked it but its ok;-)

Have fun kickboxing today. I'm doing it tomorrow at the gym. Are you doing a Cathe one or a different one?

Adri, I plan on doing a Cathe Kickboxing dvd. Sometimes I will add a Turbo Jam as well to make the workout longer and because I think they are fun. Also when I do Core Max, I use a heavier Medicine Ball than Cathe and sometimes pick up a dumbbell and use it where ever I can.

Me too. I used a 12 pound dumbell this morning. I don't have a med ball anyway, but I always use a 10-12# dumbell instead. I just can't put it between my knees for the lower ab crunches in seg. 3. I just did crunches to the side instead;-)

Good morning Maniacs!. Today is a Mt. Bike ride with the dog and KenpoX. I'm off today so I will ride as long as my dog can go. Hoping tomorrow to get a real good ride in without the dog.:)Or I'll take her on a softer trail. Her feet get sore if she runs to long. :( I'm feeling the DOMS from legs and backX yesterday. For some reason that one always gets me right in the @$$}{ , which I love.

Lorajc, It was hard for me to finish the last weeks of P90X last time I did it. I remember on the recovery weeks I didn't do any P90X workouts. I just did what I wanted. I also did different Yoga and kickboxing workouts. But, Geez, the results were so impressive! I'm doing it again! LOL!

Adri, I wish I had Fit TV. It's great you can do the Cathe's you don't have. DOMS is great isn't it? LOL!

Anne, I can't believe you keep getting a glaring windshield! That would really tick me off. I can't imagine your frustration.

Diane Sue, Kickboxing for me today too. I might add on a TJ to kenpoX. We'll see how it goes. I'm pretty tired from my first week of P90X.

This morning I did another full body workout. This is what I did:

2 sets/12 reps/60 seconds rest

Pullovers - 40# (had an outer body experience with the 2nd set!)
Dumbbell Chest Press - 35's each hand
Dumbbell Shoulder Press - 20's each hand (blacked out with the 2nd set, only could do 9 reps)
Alternate Lunges - 55# (really felt this in my glutes)
Leg Extensions - 55#
Close Grip Lying Barbell Tricep Press - 50#/55# (should have done 60# both set, this was easy)

Then I did the treadmill for about 25 minutes. I fast walked 1.40 miles and was in my zone for over 20 minutes. Felt GREAT! I love this thing! I'm so glad I got one finally.

With the entire workout I was in my zone for 38 minutes and burned 315 calories. Total calorie burn for the entire week was 1763!

Wow Debbie your sooo great. I really wanna get a HRM to see how many cals I burn!!! Oh question Debbie: How do you do the Leg extensions without the leg extension machine at the gym? Is it when you use ankle weights and balance yourself on one leg and extend it out and bring back in? I remember doing those w/ 12 pound ankle weights in L&G.
