Morning Maniacs -
This morning I decided to give Sarah Lurie's Vol 2 Iron Core Kettlebell workout a chance. I added kickboxing moves during the rest periods and even extended some of her short sets to make it a bit harder, but it was still too easy for me. I added Around the Body Passes, Sling Shot Catches & Hot Potatos to the end of the workout. I even used from 15-35 lb KBs. Workout was 61 minutes and I burned 517 calories.
I'm going to have to price 40 lb KB's as I'll need one soon.
Toasty - I know all about being hard on yourself. I'm VERY hard on myself about everything from job to weight and everything in between. People think I'm nuts when I say I'm trying to lose weight but I'm sure if you ladies all saw me, you'd agree I need to lose!! Most people that tell me I don't need to lose weight aren't all in that great of shape....so I don't even listen. Now, if a personal trainer or body builder told me I didn't need to lose weight, I'd listen to them....but I KNOW they never would.
Diane Sue - I just got my new Kelly Coffey DVD. I'll keep you posted. It looks decent. Low reps....yeah!!! How long have you been exercising each day to increase your appetite? What sorts of foods to you eat as "extras" when you get famished? I need ideas. I'm PMSing and I get REALLY REALLY hungry this time of the month. I've been having to eat larger meals with hardly any snacks since i started this new job. I think I get so hungry cuz I go so long without eating and eat too much at dinner. I usually have to take my lunch at 11:30 and I don't get home and ready to eat dinner until around 7:00 give or take. Sometimes I'll eat an apple in the car on the way home...but for the most part, I don't eat all afternoon. My body's not used to that either. I also can't drink enough water cuz I can't be away from the front desk when we're seeing patients. I just got over my 2nd bladder infection since I started working there from not drinking enough water.
