I would still like to get the fat % down a bit. I have been able to lower bodyfat and I ma rarely hungry. At first I was afraid of having more fat in my diet.

Diane Sue all that I read does say fat helps burn fat, and I guess you are proving that true!!

i need to add more fat to my diet.

I have a beauty questions girls, favorite mascara?? I like M.A.C Zoom but it is 17.00 looking for some suggestions that maybe not as much, although I do love MAC products
 
I decided to just do some yoga and stretching today. We have family coming over in a bit to help with this kitchen remodel. I did a fitness blender workout, rest, relax, restore, for tight muscles, 32 minutes. Kelly started with the neck and worked down. My knees have been bothering me the last two days. I think have been concentrating on legs a lot through Hammer and Chisel and post rotator cuff problem, they have had a bit too much.

Roselyn, I have used Mac products for years. I have started switching away from Mac. Some of their advertising creeps me out. I just bought Tarte Amazonia Clay foundation and decided to try their gel type liner at 21 dollars. It is waterproof and really stays. But, they are probably more expensive than Mac and I haven't tried the mascara. I like waterproof that stays and doesn't oil off. Mac False lashes extreme looks great but I end up with it on my upper brow bone. It does not stay well. I use Rimmel Scandaleyes in the Orange tube. It is waterproof. It is the favorite right now. I really would rather have a smaller longer applicator brush head on it but it is hard to find everything I want in one product. L'Oreal Volumnous waterproof looks the nicest but it doesn't stay on as well I used to have a favorite Avon one that I liked better than anything but my daughter quit selling and I have never tried to find another representative. I think the Avon was called waterproof high definition or something like that.
Yes, the body learns to use the fat for energy when you lower the carbs.
 
No workout for me today, busy with sports all day! Yesterday I walked over 24,000 steps which was over 10 miles. Today I am resting. My favorite mascara is Dior Show but it is too expensive. I hate to wear makeup lately! I am thinking about tinting my eyelashes so I do not have to worry about it everyday. My eyes tend to water a lot when I wear makeup. I like to wear tinted moisturizer with some powder and blush but that's about it. I have not been working much lately so I don't feel the need to put it on. I have however, purchased some Bare Mineral skin care and some tinted moisturizer and love it. They have a new line of mascara and it looks nice. If I try it, I will give you all my review.

Workout today was a 5.30 mile walk outside. (Burned 600 calories) I hit my 10,000 steps before 10:00 am this morning.

Today I felt I needed a bit of cardio. I did not have much time but I did do some of Cathe Live Pedal Max, 24 minutes 207 calories, 5.27 miles. This gets right into the hills after the warm up.

Jolie, you are doing great with all of the steps you are getting in. I hate paying high prices for mascara because it seems they are not any better than the drugstore brands. I will be busy Saturday with sports myself so I am probably not likely to get anything in because my grandson starts soccer practice early. It will be fun watching him play though.
 
Today I started a 12 week rotation I once did from a M&F Magazine I have. Look interesting so I'll see how it goes. Mostly straight sets working two body parts a day - so today was Chest & Tri's.

This is what I did:

GS Chest & Tri's warmup.

3 sets/10 reps each with 1 minute rest between each set:

Pushups: 15 reps/12 reps (warmup)
Barbell Bench Press: 70#
High Incline Dumbbell Press: 25's
Low Incline Flyes: 25's

Lying Dumbbell Extensions: 12's
Weighted Barbell Dips: 35#

Could have gone heavier on most of these but I really don't want to lift much heavier than this. This rotation has a week where I do 5-6 reps and that week I will go higher. I need to be careful plus I don't want that bulky look and it seems like I'm getting that way again. I'll see if I can contain myself and lift moderately with this rotation.

I had time to walk 1 mile on my treadmill as well.

Jolie - I love makeup, especially eye makeup. I'm always doing something new with my eyeshadows. I use Bare Minerals and love it!!

Diane Sue - I agree with what Roselyn says, we need fat in our diets. I do well with fats and never seem to gain weight unless I start eating junk.

Roselyn - I use a winged mascara from Avon Products. Goes on well and lasts all day and it's cheap. :)
 
Well ladies, I thought I would have a plan together but it seems I do not want to make a commitment! I love not having a set rotation, its freeing. With that said, I will try to do one to two body parts per day and I will continue to walk. I am starting to see my legs and rear-end tone up and lean out! This is my goal for the next two months, my upper body looks good. Todays workout was STS Meso 3 Chest only. Used DB the whole workout. 1 minute rest between sets

ABS- Extreme Cardio Fighter (Les Mills)

I went to the mall yesterday and bought some Chanel Lipstick in a Pinky Peach color and love it. I also purchased Bare Minerals new face serum and it is awesome!!!! I couldn't resist buying their tinted moisturizer because I am starting to get some age spots from all of the sun I have gotten living in California. It works really well and I mix is with the serum so it is sheerer on the skin. I grew up right on the beach and I sun tanned a lot as a teenager. o_O

Today I did Cath7 Live Leg Blast with High Step. I omitted the overhead presses on the moves that used them. I just raised the weight a bit. This is a high rep lower weight workout. Not a lot of cardio in it. 57 minutes, 317 calories. I was in so much pain last night in my shoulder blades an neck up to the base if the skull. I did not do anything that should have caused it over the weekend either.
The workout went like this: They use a barbell with 10's and 5's ready for later. I just used dumbbells.
6 minute warm up
step with one riser power 15's, raise to 2 risers running man, raise to e risers up and overs with pulses with 10#
foot on step knee pulls with 10# right then do on left

BW leg lifts alternating
10# dumbbell squat press, 10 squat press q leg lifts,

Debbie, I love makeup too. I have quite a bit of Bare Minerals left. I remember the Muscle and Fitness rotation.

Jolie,I use Essential oils and coconut oil on my skin. I have too many allergies to chemicals. The 100% pure line looks good and I may be trying some of them. My daughter is a dermatologist and she has a fit if we all don't wear sunscreen.

Getting my second root canal tomorrow, Idon't understand I take such good care of my teeth and this one already had a root canal but somehow there was an infection there:(
 
Roselyn, they always tell me what good care I take of my teeth. One of my root canals was because I have some very old fillings that they have been gradually replacing. One had a crack and had got decay under the filling. It seems some people have hardly any problems with their teeth and don't spend a lot of time on them and some of us are just prone to tooth problems. My mother had false teeth at 16. I think they have better methods now to take care of the teeth though. When I was a child I had several compliments about how white my teeth were. I think I probably brushed them too much because of that. I really don't know though. I am glad that you like the mascara. I like when I find something that does not cost so much and works.

Today I did Cardio Coach #3 and had a great workout. It seems like when I haven't ran for a while my first workout back is easy. You would think it would be hard because you're out of the routine. I went faster on this one and higher on the hills. Had fun!!

Workout was 40 minutes, ran 2.8 miles, burned 252 calories (which I don't believe - TM said 369) and went 5638 steps.

Roselyn - Good luck with your root canal. Two of them? Yikes! I had one done a few years back and they ended up pulling the tooth about 6 months ago. All that money for nothing. Kind of pissed me off.
 
Roselyn, good luck at the dentist! I have had root canals done myself and there is a huge dread factor. I hope it goes well.

Workout today was a 7 mile walk outside. It was a tough one, a lot of hills. Fitbit says 7.1 miles, 2 hours, 837 calories and 12,681 steps!
I have to spend the rest of the day in the car so I am glad I got so many steps in early today.

Diane Sue, great job on posting your meals. You are very disciplined! I had a bowl of cereal and a protein shake thus far, I have no idea what I will eat the rest of the day.

Today I did Cathe I Max live, 44 minutes, 387 calories, avg. heart rate 140/ max 168. I then did the abs from live bar and bands followed by some abs on my own and Chisel Abs, 24 minutes, 129 calories. Total time was 68 minutes, calories 515. I also did the extended stretch from STS but did not count that. I did that along with foam rolling and additional stretching. I was using one of my dogs rubber balls for my shoulder but, she came in with the blue one, saw the orange on,e and took off with it. Not only that, she came back to get the blue one to take downstairs too. I guess I need to get my own ball :p

Debbie, I think the I would go in between the two for the calorie burn if you were working higher hills and running. 252 does not seem accurate for 40 minutes. You got a lot of steps in. My Bluetooth HR monitor decided to work for me today. I took out the battery and put in another that I had sitting around but wasn't sure if it was used or not. I generally throw away used ones but, I thought I might have tried switching batteries once before and this one was not in a package.

Root canal done but about an hour later i was at work and bent down to do something and had bloody drainage come out my left nostril the side my tooth was on (sorry if I grossed you out) it happened a few times, so i called and they said it can happen it was a back molar and supposedly the sinus was pretty close it freaked me out I never get nosebleeds, just a little bit now and i when it first happened I could smell the medicine GROSS and YUCK

So this morning I did back work

I have Tony Horton's Hard Corps 22 (my sister gave it to me) it is pretty good for quick cardio!!

Today I did Cathe live Blast, Bands and Barre warm up to the point they pick up weights, 8 minutes, 48 calories. This was for an extended warm up before I did Cathe Live Soaker Cycle, 53 minutes, 528 calories, 12 miles. This was a good name for this workout. It kept my HR up. When I was done my HR monitor had me at 151 Avg and 167 max. I don't think that I have ever kept my HR up that much. I know there were some times it slowed a bit. I switched to the watch and regular transmitter when I started Soaker Cycle because after the warm up I did before it, the Bluetooth transmitter started going bonkers. It had me at 198 HR at the end of the warm up. I think that I do not like that thing. I waste too much time trying to correct it. Calories burned 576, 61 minutes. I finished off with premix #1 of Yoga Relax. but did not include it in the calorie burn. I think I am going to take a few days off. I have a mammogram Friday morning and Saturday I am taking the grandson to soccer, Sunday is generally a rest day and family day. I am on the fence with maybe doing lower tomorrow or resting. I will wait and see how I feel. I have put off the mammogram till my shoulder is good. I usually get the extra digital imaging even though insurance does not cover it. Too much breast cancer and other cancers in the family along with my past uterine cancer.
Meals yesterday were not wonderful. I started well but dinner ended up being a high calorie cheat meal. I had the usual morning coffee, organic half and half, BCAA and Amazing Grass green superfood watermelon energy. No snack. Lunch was the Bacon, Butternut squash, Bison Chili minus the squash on top but some avocado and organic sour cream. Dinner was Dominoes chicken bacon sandwich which I was shocked how much fat and calories. I was working on a painting for my granddaughter and my husband ordered pizza and knowing I wouldn't eat the pizza he ordered the sandwich because he knew I eat chicken. Anyway, I was still within my total calories for the day but, I did not have any snacks.

Roselyn, I am sorry you had that mess to deal with after the root canal. That must have been frightening. I am interested in seeing what you think of Hard Corps with Tony.

Today was shoulders and this afternoon I did Hard Corps Cardio 1, I like the workouts so far Jolie just have done cardio 1 and resistance 1.

My meals today were

I had some chicken and sweet potatoes for breakfast (did not feel like oats)
Chicken breast and green beans for lunch

Quest bar with some PB2 for a snack (was still hungry so I had a tablespoon of peanut butter)

Dinner is going to be cabbage, chicken and carrots and onions in a stir fry

nighttime snack probably casein pudding
