OK, Hardcore chics - I am coming back!
Went to the doctor today and my shoulder issues are caused by a hook in my shoulder bone, which pokes into my rotator cuff and causes the sometimes excruciating pain but there is no damage being done, and none will be done by picking up again with swimming and weights. The shoulder feels so much better than it did, thank goodness. Still some pain but nothing like it was. I was getting sick to my stomach from it at times last week, and I generally feel like I can deal with a lot of pain and keep going. It totally screwed up my race (swim portion) and I skipped the race last Sunday just to be safe. Apparently, freestyle swimming is what will aggravate this problem the most. I am going to get a coach to be sure my form is perfect and just keep going. My elbow is what it is so for tricep work, I will wear the brace and make do. There is nothing wrong with the joint but the pain is probably from an old motorcycle injury. He was concerned about my knee (gee, I am falling apart here!) but said to just be prepared to ice it for about 30 min after a long ride. He said it was a joint impingement issue and possible the VMO muscle on top of it causing pain. I have adjusted my bike some and hope that will help too. Sooooooooooooo, I cannot wait to hit the weights again. I am goingn to do that this week to get started and then Monday, begin my little STS/P90X rotation for 6 months. We will see how that goes, but I want to do one week of STS (going in order) followed by a week of P90X, STS, P90X etc. I am going to start tracking my eats again too. The break was nice but dang, time to get back to it before I lose all the benefits of my hard work with STS the first time.
So, there is my book. I have been enjoying some running with my new Garmin watch, been doing CC workouts, and resting. That ends today! I cannot wait to get back to it and it is a very nice feeling to be excited about it.
Glad to see you are all hanging in there

Hermia - good to see you here more often again.
