Yesterday I did a full body circuit with compound moves + 10 min metabolic circuit with kettlebell ( I went up 5 # in the kb and it really makes a difference). I finished the workout with a cool down walk with my dog. Total workout 49 minutes 736 calories. Eats were on point yesterday.

Today is cardio when I get home.

Have a great day and great workouts. BBL

My workout today was cardiio. I did I Max 3 repeating the last interval blast and stopping at the stretch, then I did I Max 2 Intervals 1-3 and finished with I Max 3 stretch. Total calories burned was 669 1 hr 13 minutes, 30% fat, Max HR was 167. I then did Rainbeau Mars Yoga Dawn stopping at the spot where she does her little prayer to self. I burned another 115 calories. Total calories burned today was 784.
I sure wish I could burn more calories during my workouts but even trying to keep the intensity higher and adding more hops and stuff to the I Max's I feel like I don't get that great of a calorie burn:confused:

Hello!
yesterday's late night workout was Tracey's High Intensity Step Mix 2 through combo/interval 4, then the abs from that workout and then the abs from Cathe's Low Impact Step (4DS). I am finding it's harder to get a workout in, and get it in at a somewhat decent time, when I grocery shop and cook dinner the same evening. I think I'm going to have to be more disciplined when fall semster starts.

This morning I did Cardio Fusion, have not done that one in a long time. Took me a little longer due to having to stop and wake up DS and 1 or 2 longer rests.;):p Workout was 1:19 and I burned 660 calories. Then not sure I should count this because it's a very laid back walk for me, but I walked 1:27 with my client and burned 367 calories. For a total of 1027 calories.

Not sure if I will do anything else on my own or not, I feel weird counting something that didn't make breath hard or leave me all sweaty. I just may mow the lawn later which is always good for at least 400 calories.:D

OK, Hardcore chics - I am coming back!

Went to the doctor today and my shoulder issues are caused by a hook in my shoulder bone, which pokes into my rotator cuff and causes the sometimes excruciating pain but there is no damage being done, and none will be done by picking up again with swimming and weights. The shoulder feels so much better than it did, thank goodness. Still some pain but nothing like it was. I was getting sick to my stomach from it at times last week, and I generally feel like I can deal with a lot of pain and keep going. It totally screwed up my race (swim portion) and I skipped the race last Sunday just to be safe. Apparently, freestyle swimming is what will aggravate this problem the most. I am going to get a coach to be sure my form is perfect and just keep going. My elbow is what it is so for tricep work, I will wear the brace and make do. There is nothing wrong with the joint but the pain is probably from an old motorcycle injury. He was concerned about my knee (gee, I am falling apart here!) but said to just be prepared to ice it for about 30 min after a long ride. He said it was a joint impingement issue and possible the VMO muscle on top of it causing pain. I have adjusted my bike some and hope that will help too. Sooooooooooooo, I cannot wait to hit the weights again. I am goingn to do that this week to get started and then Monday, begin my little STS/P90X rotation for 6 months. We will see how that goes, but I want to do one week of STS (going in order) followed by a week of P90X, STS, P90X etc. I am going to start tracking my eats again too. The break was nice but dang, time to get back to it before I lose all the benefits of my hard work with STS the first time.

So, there is my book. I have been enjoying some running with my new Garmin watch, been doing CC workouts, and resting. That ends today! I cannot wait to get back to it and it is a very nice feeling to be excited about it.

Glad to see you are all hanging in there :) Hermia - good to see you here more often again.

Thanks, Linda! Nothing I can't kick in the butt and beat out though :D I will just know to expect some pain every now and again but I love the racing too much to stop, and I go nuts after a bit of no lifting. All about balance, I suppose.

It has been one of those running around days. Took grandchildren to lunch with dil and then grandson went to orientation at the middle school. Then we met back at my house. It has been really quiet around here the last couple of days. Wonder where everyone is? Tomorrow I will be doing STS disc 2 and maybe a kettlebell workout. I really do want to fit in some kettlebells here and there.

Shana, I am glad that you found out what the problem was and can go back to working out knowing you won't be making it worse. I am sure you are motivated enough that you can make it work. STS and P90X sounds like a good rotation:D

Linda, I am always pausing my hr monitor to go do stuff. I find myself answering the door in the mornings and stopping to make breakfast or tend to something. This morning I had to stop to clean pencil off of the walls. Glad that is all the grandbaby found. Maybe that is what is wrong with some of my calorie burns:p Really, I kind of hop around to get my ht back up and then turn it on. What I hate is when I push the button to pause and accidentally do it twice and then have to start over.

Theresa, good job on keeping the eating spot on. I am trying again. School starts Thursday and I have stocked up on the good stuff:D
