Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for 2/27

I started my workout again this morning. I'm going to do the last 4 weeks of the rotation I was doing because it's higher reps and I'm just going to concentrate on good form and lighter weights. I need to get my mind away from lifting heavy. I just can't do it anymore. As much of a bummers as that is for me, it's my reality. I'm tired of being in pain. Didn't really feel like much, hoping I'll be sore tomorrow.

Today was 2 sets/18 reps with 1 min. 30 second rest.

Leg Press Station - 135#
***I know this sounds heavy but truly it isn't. I'm laying on my back and pushing the weights up with my legs. I can go very heavy with this one and never have had an injury from it.

Hammer Curls - 12's

Plie Squats - 25#

Lateral Raise - 5's

Flat Dumbbell Flyes - 12's

Dips - Body weight

I also did the ab work from Step Heat. This one is just crunches mostly. Got a great burn from it, though. I also had a few extra minutes left so I foam rolled my upper body a bit.

Linda - Hi girl! I can't help you with Low Impact series, I didn't order it. Been thinking about it, though.
 
I did Gym Style Back, Shoulder and Bis', followed by about 10 minutes of rebound.

B-oatmeal
S-peanut butter,apple
L-protein cherry chocolate smoothie
S-1/2 can tuna
D-roasted chicken, veggies
 
I get a little worried when I keep checking in and everytime I get a virus threat. It must be something with me but this is the only site that it is happening:confused:
This morning I had to be out the door early so did a premix from Cathe's Low Impact series Athletic Step Extreme from the Athletic training dvd. This one does not use the gliding discs and has lots of lower body along with shoulder work. 43 min, 374 calories. I really did want to do a weight workout today but slept in a bit.

Linda, good to hear from you. I like the Low Impact series. I have discovered a lot of the mixes that do not use the gliding discs:D I just do not have carpet space without pulling up my mats. The rug in the living area seems to be sticky. My second workout space works well on the carpet but I have to move things and put up the pack in play bed for JP. There is lots of good options with this set.

Debbie, I am glad to see you are back at it. I hope this works for you. I know how you feel about lowering the weights. Maybe you can find something new that will change things up and give results. I am always looking for something new that will give results and not cause problems.

3- schwan's italian cod (probably 2 portions) asparagus
