Where the heck is everyone? Yeesh! LOL!

This morning was Back, Biceps and Forearms with this ridiculous fast rep routine. I understand that this type of workout is suppose to increase your speed and strength (i.e. - runners, people who pole vault, throw the disc and such things like that) but what's the point of putting it in a rotation for only one week? Variety I guess. Next time I do this rotation I'll leave week 11 out. LOL!

Again, fast explosive reps on the positive.

Back:
*Wide Grip Pullups: 4/3/2
*Close Grip Pullups: 6/4
*Did not do these fast, just did them normally

Underhand Barbell Rows: 50# - 3 sets/5 reps
Pullovers: 30# - 3 sets/5 reps

Biceps:
Barbell Curls: 40# - 3 sets/5 reps
Preacher Curls: 35# - 3 sets/5 reps

Forearms:
*Overhand wrist curls: 12's - 3 sets/10 reps
*Barbell Underhand wrist curls: 25# - 1 set/12 reps; 35# - 2 sets/12 reps
*These were done with normal rep speed. I used the barbell for the underhand wrist curls and they were much more comfortable then dumbbells. Usually this exercise hurts my left wrist really bad.

Can't wait til this week is over! Oy!

Diane Sue - I figured out my 20-25 rep maximum with the week that asks you to do 12-20 reps in this rotation. I adjusted from there. For instance with bench press, I did 85# 15 reps so I went down to 70# figuring I could do 20-25 with that weight. I hate this fast reps stuff.
 
Ok, Deb, bicep curls 40#. I would break my arms. I am only up to 17.5 on conc. curls. Slow but sure...I am a weanie and my bi's are huriting...
I am playing with g-son. I have playe dora comp game and built thomas the train.. I didn't realize we had so much .He is wanting attention today...
Dh is staining decks. Can't walk outside...
Summer is finally coming... Yes...

My plan is CC#6 i think i will try Candice for a change and triceps and shoulders and a little light chest work..I will pop in the GS workouts for the segments...
I find myself doing a mix and match more and more. I love BM2 abs and B&G abs.

Went shopping yeaterday and actually found normal shorts..Normal shorter(not hot pants) length. I was doing a happy dance. Down to a 6 . 8's were big... Far cry from bustin out of 12's a couple years ago.. Slow and steady...i guess...Goal is a 3/4 then i will be happy.
Well, gonna go workout.

Oh, Char, you can blend the border or just change to something a little different in the hallway.You can always run a decorative piece of trim down the wall to offset the 2 rooms. Breaks it up and looks nice. Excited for you...

Good morning!

Yesterday's ride was good but windy. We went 28 miles (my friend had one of those spice parties to get to). There were so many people out riding though. I think everybody's tired of their basements! It slowed us down a bit. Interestingly enough, although I was huffing and puffing as usual, and the wind really makes it a lot worse (my HR is usually much higher than normal in the wind), my HR wasn't as high as normal. I still couldn't talk, so Chris carried the conversation the whole time, which is not diffcult for her at all :) but I'm wondering if it is carting around 8 pounds less starting out the season? Or is it that I've been doing cardio 6 days a week? It's not like I've been doing killer cardio 6 days - only 3 days of killer cardio. Eight pounds less on the bike is a lot really. Any thoughts? I was really surprised. Instead of my HR being in the upper 170's to upper 180's for that ride, which it should have been, it was in the upper 160's to upper 170's.

We were supposed to ride this afternoon, but it's getting pretty windy, so I'll see what it's like when she calls. I might be in the basement doing RS or something different. Maybe a CC on the elliptical. I need to do upper body.

Diane Sue - I know what you mean about not being able to have nice stuff left out. It's like when people are coming over, pull out the nice stuff. When they leave, put it away.

Char - Wish I could help you on the decorating. I suck at it!

Ok, i am officailly addicted. I did Candice CC#6. I should have done the weights 1st. I am whipped. I ran the intervals. I had to go to 8mph to get me to the green zone. 550 cal and i am whipped... I went almost 5 miles...These are so much better then the tv and stereo...
Glad i broke down and bought them.

Guess tomorrow is weights day. I will do them 1st then whatever i can handle after... Doing more and more cardio heretrying to drop the but and gut.. LOL. I do like the interval work.

Wll, have fun on the bike rides. I haven't gotten mine out yet...Have to degrease it(from winter ) and check it out here...

Today is my rest day. I picked up my grandson and went to church and then did some grocery shopping afterward. Now we are sitting around waiting for some cable people to come out and fix our On Demand service which is not working. It will probably work when they get here. Last time we called it started working so we called and canceled. Then when we try and watch a movie it isn't working again x(

Debbie, aren't you almost finished with week 11 now? :) You still get in some impressive weights.

Anne, CC 6 Candace is a tough one. It has more challenges than the rest. I always feel really worked when I finish that one.

Suz - Great going on the 28 mile ride. It's getting windy here too and tomorrow its suppose to be nasty. I'm glad we don't have a basement!

Diane Sue - I have one more day (shoulders) with this stupid week and then I'm done with week 11. Looking forward to ending this rotation and starting the new one I want to try. It's all supersetting for four weeks. Should bring me some good definition and a bit of fat loss. I'm hoping anyways. Hope you are enjoying your rest day!
 
Well, no ride today. I ended up doing Imax 2. I just love that workout. Then I did the abs from my new New York City Ballet Workout 2 DVD. It was a short ab workout. I was going to do upper body, but it's getting late so I think I'll do ME tomorrow morning (are there abs on that - I can't remember - I need more now) and do my cardio after work. It will be a steady state cardio, so I'll just hop on the bike on the trainer in front of the tv. Although I'm tempted to do one of those ballet workouts in the morning instead. I just love ballet. :) That's my yoga.
