Cathlete
Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Pam Cosmi's Steppin' Rhythm (40 min). I'm starting to learn the warm-up and get a bit better at the first segment. I am totally tripped up on the 2nd block.....so I did it as a cool down today. I don't know why I keep this. It frustrates me so!! I've decided it to make it my weekly Saturday aerobics, as Saturday is more like an active rest day for me. I also did Cathe's Total Body stretch on the ball.

I have an eye appt early this morning, as I need new contacts and glasses, so I was up early this morning. No sleeping in!

I'm off for my soak in the tub. I think we're going to see When a Stranger Calls or Something New today.

Have great workouts. I'll check back later.

Hello Ladies,

Lora, let me know if you see When a starnger calls. I love scary movies and this one looked good. I will be anxious to see how you like it. I rented Half Light last night. It has Demi Moore in it and was pretty good.

Well today is a HCEX workout for me. I will decide which when I am ready to do it. I am thinking the first though as it has some weights in it. Other then that I have no big plans for today. Get my jeep and car washed and do errands. I will see what tonight brings as far as doing something.

Marietta-Are you resting or doing HCEX?
Sabrina-Did you take pics in/of your dress?
Marietta-What are you doing? I am curious to see if you take that rest day :)
Dallas-When did you say your Dr. appt is?
Nicole-So you are seeing a difference in your core with TLT's? I am still on the fence about getting them:) Which do you like better TLT's or SS?
Diane Sue-WOW you did a great workout yesterday. I read your posts late last night. How long did that workout take as it looks like a good long one!
Susan-If you check-in I wanted to welcome you back! Thanks for the e-mail and what a cutie he is:)

Ok I am going to check some other threads and get busy. See ya all later.

Terri

Good Morning,
Well still morning here:) This morning I did P90X Kempo and a 2 mile run on the treadmill. I have some things to do around here today and then off to my daughter's house for dinner. Did you girls get Susan's baby pics? He is so cute. Wouldn't you love to cuddle the little guy?

Terri yesterday's workout took me 2 hrs and 20 minutes.

Hi to everyone I will try and check in later

Hello, everyone. Mind if I join in your thread? I've been going through some difficult things in my personal life, so I thought now would be a great time to step up the workouts. Nothing like a sweat filled workout to boost the mood! Tomorrow I'm starting the January rotation (with a few changes based on my schedule).

I got in a pretty nice workout this morning--MIS followed by the cardio portion of Step and Intervals. I work tonight so I'll get in a lot of activity throughout the rest of the day.

Have a great Saturday!

lisa

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to our thread!! There is nothing like a good workout to boost your mood and help with stress. I hope whatever difficulties you are experiencing get better.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Welcome Lisa! I agree with Diane Sue a good sweat filled workout always works for me! I hope everything gets worked out for you.

Lora ~ I slept in for you. ha ha! I didn't get up until 7:30A! That was refreshing. However, my ds3 woke up with the stomach flu. Poor little guy. :-(

Terri ~ Yes, I go to the doctor on Monday @3:30P. Whatever it is, I'm crossing my fingers that it's something that will require minimal rest! You sound like you have a nice relaxing day planned.

Diane Sue ~ What is Kenpo like? I've been researching these P90X workouts. Which are you're favorites so far? I don't think I'd buy the whole series.

Nicole ~ I got your e-mail. I sent a reply back. I want to check my Target before I order that rack on-line.

Susan ~ I sent you an e-mail too. What a little doll! He's so teeny! I love the newborn stage. Actually, the whole first year is so fun. They change so much and so quickly. You're glowing!:)

Sabrina ~ How's the dress?

I wonder if Marietta is taking a rest day? Let's bet! ha ha! I say, "NO!" :7 Well, I am. My little boy is sleeping, so I better get to my new batch of laundry. I'd like to invent a way to just make it "get done"! lol

I'll check back later...

Dallas

Dallas,
Kenpo is a good cardio kickboxing workout. It is not as intense as Cathe's though. So far my favorites are the strength training workouts. Some good arm moves, lots of push ups and back work. I kind of have a love hate thing with YogaX. It is new to me and I am feeling it:) Ab ripper X is really good only 16 minutes. I tried Core Synergistics even though it is not in the rotation yet. It was excellent, you use weights and it has things like you would use taking things off of a shelf etc..,Plyo X is good, the best of the cardio in this series. I thought originally I would just get the ones I wanted but found that it cost almost as much as buying the whole series and I get the nutrition plan book and the strength training book and workout logs which I printed off with my Fax machine so I had lots of copies. There are new moves and the usual moves are done differently. Tony is kind of a hyper funny guy. I have lost 5 # in the almost 3 weeks I have done this so have to up my calories according to the nutrition book. Sorry such a long description. I am really enjoying the difference.

Hey Everyone,
Today is my active rest day. So I rode my airdyne for 50 min. I did not read a book so the the time seemed to last forever:eek: That will teach me haha.

Welcome Lisa:D Happy to have you join us!! Working out with these gals keeps me on the strait and narrow:D (most of the time;-)) Keep coming here, and we will make sure you do to:7 Btw GREAT picture!! Can I have your abs?? haha

Terri I am really enjoying these dvds. As you have seen I have been putting in hours on my airdyne and doing that TLT/Firm rotation, and I feel really good about it! I am definitely feeling stronger in my core, and YES I can see my belly getting flatter. (As you know it is my problem area) These are really different from anything I have ever had. There is a learning curve to them. You can really make them more challengeing as you go. Sometimes when I do workouts I am like watching the clock:7 With these the time just FLYS. In my opinion I think you would really like these.... As is and as add-ons to your other workouts:7 Sorry so long.

Susan baby is so cute! I just loved seeing the pictures of her boys!! Makes me remember when my kids were that age..

Dallas I would not order the rack either. Hopefully your Target should have them!! Oh and Yes I did get your email:7

Diane Sue you go girl. One day when I get the energy!! I am going to have a Diane Sue day, and workout with you ha ha. Hey I like the sounds of that!! We should do that someday.

Hope Everyone has a good evening!!

Lora hope you can sleep tonight. I know I would'nt be able to if I saw that movie. Those movies are the kind that have me running out of the room during the scary parts.:7

Welcome Lisa - Nice to have you here. You've got a partner here.....I hear ya with coping with the difficulties of life thru exercise!!

Diana Sue- 5 pounds ...Wow....that makes me want to do a P90X rotation, but I'm going to continue on with the Firm/TLT month first and then do my P90X and P90 Masters.

The movie stunk. I fell asleep and missed the end though, but it was stupid and not that scary. There isn't a whole lot to choose from though.

Nicole - I agree that time flies with the TLTs. I also think there is a HUGE learning curve and you really can't work it hard until you really learn them. That's one of the reasons I'm sticking with them another month.

I'm doing Jari Love's Get Ripped tomorrow and then I start the Firm/TLT rotation on Monday.

Hello!! I know...I know...don't freak out because I am checking in over the weekend. Thought I'd suprise you guys. Plus, it's confession time...

OKAY...I DID NOT REST TODAY!! I got off to a good start by not running first thing this morning...but then I had idle time...and well, I'm not good with idle time. So one thing led to another and the next thing I know...I was doing Hardcore Extreme #3!! And then to make matters worse I walked 2 miles on my treadmill at 10% incline and then did biceps!! I have issues!!

Other than the workouts I folded laundry and went and ran errands. Got a lot done and out of the way. I need to make valentine's day cards...maybe when I get done here.

Did Susan send pics? I must check my email...

Welcome Lisa...never mind me...I'm just a nutcase...you'll find out why if you stick around.

Terri - Need I say more? What Hardcore Extreme workout did you decide on?

Nicole - I would never approach an elliptical or stationary bike without reading material!!! There's no way I can do it otherwise.

Lora - A movie is BAD if you can fall asleep...that's for darn sure!

Dallas - Alright...YOU WIN!!! (me sticking my tongue out at you!!). One of these days...just wait.

Diane Sue - Did you think I would take a rest day? Just curious...

Take care guys...hope I didn't give anyone a heart attack by checking in!!
