Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Checkin for Monday Feb 27

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did 30 minutes of my Push Cardio DVD with ShineDown on the CD player. I did part on the floor and part on the rebounder. I also did P90 Masters Sculpt 5/6 and a 10 minute bonus yoga routine from my Rainbeau Mars DVD. This made for a really good workout. I really went heavy with the weights and probably will go heavier next time. He also doesn't use weights on the legs in this DVD, but I'll wait and see how I feel at the end of the week and use weights next week if need be. I really forgot how much I liked the ShineDown CD so it made the workout a lot better. I even left it on for my weight lifting.

The movie, Running Scared, was really good. It was wild and sort of reminded me of Pulp Fiction in the way it flowed and how wild it was. I really enjoyed it, but I don't think many of you ladies would want to see it. It was a bit violent.

Good Morning!!

Yesterday I did a bunch of airborne jumping jacks and running in place. That is all I had time for. Shame on me!!!!!

Today I am going to do KPC, BBM (3 sets), part of PUB and 500 crunches. I am going to be busy! I won't be able to workout tomorrow unless I get up really early, and I don't compromise my sleep....I just don't!!! LOL!

Going to the Sno Core Concert tomorrow!!!!! I am ready to rock!!!! Bringing my ear plugs just in case. I don't want to go deaf!!!! LOL!

Morning!!

Today I had planned on doing lowmax, but Charlotte you got me thinking of KPC}( Maybe I will do that one instead??? I can't wait to try my new weighted gloves!! Then I will do 1 set of BBM exercises, and ride my airdyne.

Dallas sorry to hear about you losing you priest!! I just don't understand somethings???

Well better get going if I want to get anything done today!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I did 30 minutes on the treadmill. I overslept so I only had time for that. I plan on doing PUB and CM #1 and some stretching. I never got my yoga in yesterday I was plain tired. Oh yeah, I have to throw in the BBM. Is it one set or two today?

Nicole ~ Thanks! I really don't understand either. Very sad. :-( Hey, what's the plan for the 30 days? Are you picking up where you left off? I have a few areas I could really tackle.

Lora ~ Did you see my question a while back about a rebounder? Are some better than others? I think I'd like to add one to my workout room. Thanks!

Charlotte ~ Have fun at the concert! You have a good workout planned.

Marietta ~ Do you have any dance practices with the girls? I like Susan's idea...bring in a bag of apples! ;-)

Susan ~ Are you getting a routine established? I know it's hard when the baby doesn't have a set schedule. It will happen. Hang in there!

Dallas--LOL! He is definately one HOT man. He is even hotter in person! The concert was originally schedules for January and it was moved to February and by then the concert was sold out. I wish you could have came with me. I met some really nice ladies there and the one that I talked to the most has been to see Billy 25 times. She is the one that introduced me to Glen and Joe from the band. I would love to go see him again and again and again. He is very easy on the eyes. Did you read the post or did you just go to my picture trail? I almost lost it when he came over in front of me and did those to die for hip movements. I thought I was in heaven earlier in the evening when I was playing with his thigh. LOL!
 
Charlotte - Ear plugs??? For real?? Come on!! Go for it girl. I never wear them. I love feeling that music beat in my body. I love it when I'm real close and I can feel it vibrate me!! (LOL - I'm probably hard of hearing at age 46 too).

Dallas - I only know about Urban Rebounders. I didn't want to buy any other kind (like from Dick's) cuz the springs looked chinsy and I was worried about it lasting. The Urban Rebounder is made very well and comes with a basic 3 set of DVD's, 1 instructional, 1 beginner and 1 Intermediate. I never use them now, but it was informative when I first got it. I prefer to use my rebounder with my own DVDs and I heard it's really good for Cardio Coach also. Today...I just kinda loosly followed the DVD and rocked out on my rebounder. My HR can get up in the 150's or 160's on it. It's amazing.

Charlotte-Have a good time at the concert. I love going to concerts. I just went to see Billy Currington this past Thursday in Chicago.

Nicole-How are the BBM exercises going? Or should I ask how is your butt? lol

Dallas-How is your butt doing after the BBM exercises? I need to get back to them but I have been a little busy. I work this afternoon, 1-5.

Dallas-So the foot is feeling better? I am sorry about what happened at your church. That sort of thing is why I don't go to a church anymore. Doesn't seem very Christian like.

Hey Ladies...

I'm off work today so I'm a little late checking in. I did have to log in at work and send out a very important email...other than that, no work for me today except for at home.

When I woke up I did Extended Style Low Max (the workout with the leg weight work in between intervals)...I think I'll do a Step Blast premix or something pretty soon.

It's supposed to be really nice so I hope to get outside shortly.

We had a program at church yesterday and both of my dance groups danced...they did an awesome job!

Lora - You sound good today...hope you have a good week.

Sabrina - Glad you had fun at your concert....I'll look at pics later.

Nicole - You're workin it today...are you getting good results from what you are doing?

Charlotte - When are you running again? Have fun at your concert!! I bet you'll hear just fine with your earplugs...better safe than sorry. right??

Terri - I went ahead and started the FEB 06 rotation with my own twist of course...If we decide to do March, I'll do it with you...just wanted to get going on something.

YES LET's start!! Today I need to get rid of LOTS of paper today!! Tell me WHY does it pile and accumulate so quickly??;( So I am going to go grab a garbage bag, and FILL that puppy up;-)

Marietta funny you should ask about results:D I have been riding my bike now for 1 whole month, and last night when I got out of the bath. I decided to really check out my body, and yes I am just beginning to see those little fat layers BEGINNING to melt!!! I am assuming it will take me a few more months to see it gone?? What do you think?? I don't expect it to happen overnight:7

Dallas I got a UR last year, and think it is a wonderful additon to Cathe dvds. I use it for when I don't feel like pounding on my knee's......ie: genie hops, jumping rope etc...... HSN sells it at a pretty good price!! I shopped around for rebounders, and decided to go with the UR because of the bounce. Some were to soft.....which would not work with my Cathe dvds. I like to keep pace:7 They have a lot of threads over at VF..... Good luck!!

Hi Again!

Well, I did PUB (back, shoulders and biceps). I still have DOMS from GS -C&T from Friday. I'll do the other half tomorrow or the next. I did the BBM, but with my own twist. I did kickbacks w/the band x3 and then glute raises w/the band and high step, 3 sets of deadlifts and then I did glute raises on the stability ball w/a 10# plate. I need more ideas for floorwork. I'm going to take a look at that Oxygen magazine again.

Oops, I meant KEL402 and not Jessica. KEL402 posted she liked shopping at Oak Brook and a few other places near me.

Thanks Lora and Nicole! I'll check out that UR. I think it would be a nice addition especially since I don't know exactly what I did to my foot/ankle.

Marietta ~ Glad the dance turned out OK. Yes, I posted yesterday about our priest. My foot feels OK. I'm very nervous about running again. I'd like to get to the gym for some elliptical time. My dh was sick this weekend, so I stuck w/the treadmill. I'm itching to do step! I love that LM version.

Sabrina ~ You crazy girl!! What was your dh doing while you were flirting with Billy? ha ha

Nicole ~ I hear you on the paper! Thank goodness for the recycle bin!!

Hi ladies - yes, I guess I was sort of in an okay mood this morning, but it all changed when my shoulder starting screaming, as well as some people around here...LOL! I think I was on a "Yogabuzz" from yesterday, but I think it may have irrated my shoulder
 
Boy am I late today!!

I'm VERY happy to report I did my first CATHE workout in a month! I did ME. I didnt go quite as heavy for legs and deadlifts, but almost everything else I did the same weights used in the w/o. No abs though.

I had a few quick errands to run (in between baby feedings). We went to the doctor. Spencer is now up to 7lbs 2oz. and 19 inches long.

Dallas, I can empathize with you with what's going on at your church. Years ago my parents started one, put a lot of effort and money...after about 5 or so years, it had to close. I know it's not the same thing, but I do understand *changes* in churches can cause lots of grief. I haven’t done CM in such a long time I can’t remember if it was an easier routine or not. Also, I think the glute hamstring raises Cathe does at the end of L&G are the hardest exercises ever.

Nicole, I was thinking the EXACT same thing as you. Since I really cant schedule my days just yet, I'd write a weekly list of jobs/projects to get done around the house. I bet you will feel your arm muscles tomorrow from using the weighted gloves. Where did you get your pair?

Sabrina, I checked out your pictures. He is a hottie! What kind of music does he sing?

Marietta, I’m glad your dance went well. How long does it take for them to learn a routine?

This is a late checkin. It has been a real busy day running to and from the schools, shopping for dh some vacation clothing and running to the Travel agent. Then I got my two younger granddaughters ready for dance class tonight. May is their Swan Lake performance. Yesterday I had my nails done. I had a long wait so the salon gave me a 50% discount for services and products. Then I came home and started dinner for the family b-day party. Yesterday was a 3 mile treadmill run and P90X stretch. Today was a 5 mile treadmill run, P90X CST and ab ripper X with my Jolies and a med ball. Then I did 100 resisted crunches on my Bowflex,50 woodchops ont the stability ball, and oblique crunches with resistence.

Terri, I am doing great. Only a few days left.

Sabrina and Dallas, we are celebrating dh birthday on saturday with the family before we leave. I will make his favorite german chocolate cake. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Hello everyone! After a week or so hiatus, I thought I'd check in with an update on the interviews I had a couple weeks ago. I got the job and move this weekend! It's a 2 hr move..so nothing TOO drastic. With all the frenzy over the last few weeks (and I assume it will continue for the next couple), I've only fit in 5-7 hrs/week of workout time...goal was closer to 9. Not feeling like such a fitness maniac. Hopefully I'll have more time in a few weeks and will be able to live up to the check-in name :) .
