Morning Ladies -

This morning I overslept (sort of on purpose, as I could not sleep last night). I only had time to do Core Cardio P90 Masters.

Have great workouts everyone.

The movie "She's The Man" was pretty good yesterday. It was funny.

I'll try to check in from work later..........ugh Monday!!

Good morning Lora and everyone else this *lovely* Monday morning!

I was horrible yesterday eating wise. Oh well, today's a new day and one day won't kill me. It's just frustrating. Today is Power Strike 1, PUB Back and an abs class at the gym

Got a lot done this weekend. My DD broke her bed and we finally got delivery of her new one (she had been sleeping on a mattress on the floor, poor thing). So I spent yesterday cleaning up her room (she's a packrat, and after seeing my mom's stuff I know where she got it!). It looks really nice.

Hope everyone has a nice day. I'm tired. I'm hoping PS1 wakes me up!

Good morning
I am off to do Cardio Coach #3 and P90X CST. I rested yesterday. DH and I are going for our dental checkups later this morning.

Lora, have you tried Cardio Coach#5 yet? I checked their website for #6. It looks like it will be released for mp3 any day.

Nicole, I have 25# dumbbells and a plate pair I keep set at 35# most of the time. I use the 35# pair for things like dumbbell rows, pullovers, and calf raises. It really depends on the pace of the workout.

Hi to everyone

Morning ladies!

Looks like all of you are getting in some great workouts already! Way to go.

I have to go to work in 30 minutes. The boys are ready to go to school so I am doing good. haha

Hahaha my youngest just came in here and said "my potato lost his butt, can you fix it". LOL! He got a potato head for his birthday and the butt door came off that you store pieces in.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I have to go back and read the other threads.

I will be back later! Have a great day!

Diana Sue - I did CC 5 yesterday followed by an hour of Power Yoga...almost died.....see yesterday's thread....I spoke about it. I don't know if I'm ready for 6 LOL!! I'm thinking of buying 3.

Good Morning!!

Another busy weekend has come and gone for me...I'm waiting for that weekend where I won't have anything at all to do...guess I'd better not hold my breath.

Yesterday I ran 7.5 miles on my treadmill. This morning I did Bootcamp and some shoulder work. At lunch, I'll do the elliptical or I'll run on the treadmill...haven't decided yet.

Lora - Good for you for sleeping in...sometimes you just gotta do it.

Christine - Sounds like you also had a busy weekend. My dd is also a pack-rat...I cleaned out her room this weekend...she didn't get that from me. Got some good workouts lined up...have fun!

Diane Sue - Great to hear from you. What Cardio Coach would you recommend for me...I don't have any. I need to make myself a dentist appointment....even though I hate going.

Sabrina - Have a great day at work...if that's possible. Hope you guys find the "potato butt" (LOL!!).

Hi to all that follow...

I'll be back to check on you chicks later!!

Morning Ladies,

I am back to checking in. I just felt I had so much going on over the weekend and I didn't want to be negative here. Anyway Dad is still in the hospital and it's snowing today so I bet they let him out since I don't want to pick him up in the snow!

I did make it to he concert Saturday night and had a blast. It relieved a lot of stress and put me in a better mood.

Today will be a gymstyle upper body workout and a run. If I have time I want to do a SS workout tonight! I didn't get even one SS workout in over the weekend. I did however get in my other workouts.

Lora-Thanks for the movie reviews.
Dallas-Anymore word from your brother?
Sabrina-Have a fun time at work :)
Diane SUe-Enjoy your time with DH. How long will he be away next time?
Nicole-Let me know what rotation you decide to do next.
Christine-You can come over and clean out my office! :)
Susan-How was your weekend?
Marietta-I am thinking of downloading a cardio coach to my ipod.

Terri

Hey Everyone,
Just got done with PS chest and shoulders, and did the 45 min. step blast premix!! GOSH I just LOVE CATHE!! I will try and ride my airdyne this afternoon or tonight:)

Diane Sue WOW!! I am not sure if I can get up to 25lbs?? Hope you and dh have good dental checkups:D Say hello to dh for us!! I bet the time has gone WAY to quickly for you both!!

Terri I am going to do A-jock rotation I plan to start after Easter. I know how it is when you don't want to drive in the snow!! I will say prayers that you stay safe. How is your dad doing emotionaly? I bet this is real hard for him.

Hello Everyone else..... I gotta quick run and pick up my dd from Kindergarten

~Nicole

I guess I missed posting a few things...

Someone asked about the highest weight in Dumbbells that we had...I got an awesome DB set from Sam's Wholesale club a few years ago that came with a rack and Dbs ranging from 5 to 45 lbs...that should do me for a while...don't you think?

Terri - Sorry to hear about your dad...what is going on with him? Why did he have to go back? Hang in there lady...

Nicole - I did a 45 min SB premix on Friday....I love Step Blast a whole lot!! I need to try a SJB/SB premix....soon. I didn't see the rotations you posted...looks like you've made a decision anyway...what are you goals? What caused you to choose the rotation that you picked?

Later...

Morning Everyone!

My laundry room will be my home for the next several hours. lol! Wow, just taking two days off...oh my!

This morning I did S&H -Biceps. I was going to do triceps as well, but for some reason they are sore. (Maybe all those bags this weekend. ha ha...j/k) I'll add them in somewhere this week. I then did GSL floor and 45 minutes of incline walking. I held 2 lb. dumbbells. I go for physical therapy this afternoon.

Nicole ~ Hey, you've reached 1000 (1001) posts!! We have adjustable dumbbells. I think it may have been the first invention of this....lol! It's a big rectangular block. However, when I need to do 20 or over it comes in handy. Otherwise, I have the regular dumbbells all the way down to 3lbs.

Terri ~ No news on my brother. I know that he's back at the hospital today. Hopefully, they will call soon. I'll keep your dad in my prayers.

I have to run the bus is coming!

Hi everyone!

Dallas

The only thing I use my 25 pounders for right now are lats and chest. The DH has 30 and 35 downstairs if I need them though. I asked for an adjustable set for X-mas, but no dice.

Wasn't someone supposed to give me their address for this yoga tape?

Dallas - hope your brother is okay. I'm thinking good thoughts for him.

Marietta - I love Step Blast, too. It's one of those workouts I can pop in even when I simply don't feel like working out, and by the end I'm smiling. Oh do try the SJP/SB premix - the 90 minute Cardio one - it's FUN!!

Susan - my DH's family lives north of Dehli. We've been there a few times - it's always an experience. His family is fabulous. I actually wish they lived closer - and weren't a 24 hour plane ride away! Most the Indians I know are very friendly and family oriented. How do you like working for your company and do you get to visit there? I could live on the food, but I'd be the size of an elephant. By the way, the sari was a huge hit. It's black and a very drapey material with gold embroidery and sequins along the hem and on the, hmm, forget what it's called, but it's the part the hangs free over the shoulder. My 16 yo DD said I'd be the prettiest woman there. Not quite, but it made me feel good!

I have db's up to 20 pounds, and adjustable ones that go higher for back and chest work.

The hospitall called and they are not releasing him today. He has heart issues and has had many heart attacks and open heart surgery in the past. He had some chest pains yesterday afternoon so they are keeping him one more day. Also with the pnumonia I did not think it was a good idea for him to be released in the cold and snow. Thanks everyone for your prayers and vibes! Dad spirits are pretty good but he does get agitated easily!

Ok SO now I can get going on my workouts!

Terri

Hi
I just thought I would check back in. Got through the dentist check up. I have a cracked filling and they are going to have to do a crown:( DH and I are going out to dinner at some friend's Italian restaurant this evening.

Lora, It sounds like you had a great workout yesterday. I really like volume 3 of Cardio Coach as well. Not as many long hill climbs.

Marietta, Cardio Coach #4 has the most hills. Volume 5 has the longest hills, but more sprints.

Terri, it will probably be July when dh comes home again. I know how you feel about driving in the snow. If there is any way I can get out of it I will.

Have a great day everyone

Hi everyone,

I’m checking in late today. DH was home and I had a drs. Apt. which took a lot longer than it should have.

OK, I feel totally fine to start giving it my “all” now!! Sunday I rode my stepper and did LL again. Today I did LM, and then did GS Chest. I wanted to do more, but ran out of time.
I nearly DIED doing those push ups. I’ve always been able to do them all…I couldn’t today. Not by a looong shot.

Just out of curiosity, how much weight do you guys lift for chest press and fly’s in that workout? I’ve usually use 20’s and 25’s, Today I could only use my 15’s.

Nicole, yeah, I liked a-jocks rotation MUCH better than the other one you posted.

Terri, I hope your Dad gets better real soon.

Diane Sue, we had our dental apts. Last week. My son is getting his first loose tooth.

Lora, thanks for the movie review.

Sabrina, I saw a few minutes of a Bunko competition this morning on tv. They were playing for $50,000! The game looked so much fun! Did you find the potato butt yet? Hahahaha

Dallas, I hear ya on the laundry. I swear it seems like it’s never done. I was putting the baby’s diaper on wrong at first, so I was changing his clothe A LOT. Lt us know how PT goes later today. It worked wonders for me.

Marietta, We have dumbbells from 1 to 95 pounds! I’ve never lifted over 45 lbs. with one. Maybe I should try.

Christine, I’m glad you had a good time at the party last night. You’re right about how fattening the food can be. It taste so good though.

See ya later,
Susan

Hi Girlies!!

Well...checking in for the last time today...I'll be going out in the rain/sleet shortly.

I did the Elliptical for 35 minutes and then I kinda did a legs power circuit similar to BodyMax except I did 3-minute runs on the treadmill between exercises. It was a good little workout...

Terri - I'm sad your dad is still in the hospital, but glad he doesn't have to get out in the bad weather. I'll continue to keep you guys in my prayers.

Christine - Sounds like you had a great weekend. You need to find a picture that looks sort of like what you wore...I can't picture it. I need help...

Dallas - Can't wait to hear how your visit with the PT goes...who would have thought your injury would lead to this??

Susan - Your son is about to start losing teeth...how cute! That reminds me, my dd10 brought me a tooth that she lost last night....she's lost a few in the last couple of weeks. You have 95 pound dumbbells (big boys)....those would just gather dust at my house. Depending on what my goals are, I can press around 35 lb. dumbbells (give or take). I haven't done the drop set push-ups in a while...probably need to do those.

Diane Sue - That's the part about going to the dentist I hate...they always find something!!!!

Well....I'm about to S~L~I~D~E home!

Ta-ta for now!

Marietta - I can't find one that looks like mine (they are all hand made and very different), but here's a link to how to wear one - which is interesting. Mine was wrapped this way as well (you can wrap them all different ways).

http://www.shijucreation.com/wearingasari.htm

I would love to see these become more main stream. I tell ya, there is nothing like a sari to make a woman feel sexy and beautiful and demure (well, if the sari is wrapped to cover everything - not all are).

Mine was pure black with just a little heavy gold embroidery at the bottom and on the pallav (the part that hangs over the shoulder). I have others that are all different colors - including one that's red and green and that I wear for out Annual Christmas Eve party - all of our Indian friends show up.

I do have to say that I had on the petticoat and blouse and looked in the mirror with my mouth hanging open. I actually did not look bad with my abs showing. First time ever that that has happened!!

Popping in to add - I was looking on line one day and found this photo - http://www.massala.com/071200-001-l.jpg It took me a moment to realize that this woman is NOT me - she's a little older, but I have a sari just like that one and I look very similar to that. Besides - less face it, how many blondes do you see wearing sari's? I never wear them drapped on my shoulder like that though - I hold the pallav drapped over my arm - it's less convenient but much prettier - especially if you don't have rock hard abs. I'm hoping not to have to be quite as careful for the next season!
