Good Morning Fitness Ladies!

Decided to start the thread today, hope no one minds! I'm subbing IMax 2 for Plyo X today. I like Plyo X but I want something that burns a few more calories.

Forgot that we had a Cheer Leading Banquet for DD17 last night. It was cute. The younger girls did a skit that impersonated the seniors, and there were nice awards, etc. I did well - skipped the fried chicken, and had pasta instead. I did have a piece of cake, but I was well with calories even with that. :)

How's everyone doing? Diane Sue, when do the results come back? How is your daughter doing right now?

Hope everyone is feeling healthy and fit this morning. I'm still sore from yesterday, but in a good way.

Great workout, Christine! I love IMAX 2, next to Step Blast it is my favorite! I remember the cheerleading days, my step-daughter was a cheerleader as well. Sounds like the banquet was fun!

This morning I did a killer upper body workout. I started out with the upper body portion of Body Max. This is a great 45 minute workout and gets a lot accomplished in that short time span. Then I did all the upper body work from Muscle Max (42 minutes). I am fried! I was able to do all the push-ups in both sections on my toes. I love push-ups! My upper body is still burning, it literally feels hot.

Hope you all have some great workouts today! Can't wait to read what everyone is doing today!

Hey Hey Maniacs!!!!

Yesterday I got to ride my bike with my son into town. We went for chinese food while we were there. It was so nice! Didn't eat anything bad....my usual...chicken w/fresh veggies. No rice. Did Coremax 2 when I got home.

Well today my lats and tri's are really sore and I have to work chest again today????? WHAT???? My lats are really starting to balloon out and some of my tops are not fitting right anymore. I am going to bust thru ectomorph and some will wonder if I am endomorph! LOL! I am going to continue going heavier and heavier until I am satisfied. So today I can't decide between Imax 2 and Lowmax which I also have to do. Which should I do? Oh, then I have one set of BBM's to do too.

Debbie,

I know you love push ups! ((shaking head)) I don't! Sorry. I do like Step Blast though. Tried it once, it was fun stuff. Like the power plays, do you? Do you do bench on an incline when you bench?

Christine,

Thought about what you said yesterday about running along a hiking trail in the early morning fog...like running thru a fairytale. I got to get up on that mountain behind my house and do this. This weekend our family is suppose to go up there to hike, but hubby said his father wants him to come by his house in Maryland so I might just have to find someone to go with me. I can't wait. It is a sin to have such beauty around me and not to enjoy it. I don't want to miss out!!!

Charlotte~~

Long time no see!!
Great news about Cathe!!:7

We’re back from our Spring Break vacation. What a wonderful time we had. The weather was beautiful every day. Boy did my workouts go hiatus for the week, that’s for sure. It’s good to be back home. We all brought back a little cold though. I hope they don’t get any worse.

The baby has been sleeping through the nights on and off. I was up all last night. I think I’m getting really concerned about going back to work next month. The whole idea of going back makes me nauseous.

Today I’d like to do HSTA and abs. We’ll see. There is SO much laundry and picking up to do. Dallas and Sabrina, you know what I mean.;-)

I went back and read the threads I missed.

Diane Sue, how is your daughter doing? Have the results from her test come back yet? My thoughts and prayers and you both.

Dallas, have you seen your new PT yet? I guess I missed why you are switching therapists. I looked through some of your pictures. Your children are beautiful! It looks like you all had a really good time. Also, I know it can be difficult to change churches, but it seemed that it was time to move on.

Marietta, I can’t wait to hear about your nieces wedding in TX. Maybe you can email a picture.

Sabrina, I think you should go to your (ex) step-dad’s wedding, since he was good to you and your family. I can see why your mother would be upset, but your relationship with him is a separate one than he had with her.

Terri, any news on Dave’s interview? How has your dad been since Easter?

Charlotte, have you started your new job yet? How’s it going?

Nicole, I’m so sorry to hear your son broke his hand! That’s awful! How long will he have to wear a cast? How is your other son doing since his IV treatment?

Hi Christine! I’ll check back later.
I have a screaming baby, until you pick him up then all is good.

Susan

Charolotte, I love power plays! LOL! Step Blast is just so fun. I think you should do Low Max today.

Yes, I do incline bench presses. When I did Body Max I did it flat and then when I did Muscle Max, I did that work inclined. Love the feel of incline presses and flies.

Hello Ladies,

Debbie-That upper body workout sounds great! I made a note of it. You really come up with some good stuff:)
Christine-We have another dreary day here nad it is putting me in a dreary mood. I want the sun back!
Susan-Wow I guess I didn't know you were planning on going back to work. When next month are you suppose to go back?
Charlotte-I vote for lowmax for you today :)

Today I need someone to help me pick a cardio too. I have almost everything except cardo hits. I will get back to running tomorrow when the weather is nice again. I will also do gymstyle legs today and some core work.

Terri

ETA Diane Sue-I am thinking of your daughter and sending prayers and vibes her way.

No news on Daves interview yet.

Good Morning Maniacs!!

Here I am...busy morning for me...that darn co-worker of mine called in sick...AGAIN!! UUggghhh!!!!!

This morning I did a Step Blast pre-mix (combos 2,3 and challenge). That hit the spot for me. I think at lunch I'll do a circuit with the plyos inserted between sets.

Christine - Girl...we don't care who starts the thread...just as long as it gets started. Sounds like the banquet was fun...fried chicken at a cheer-leading banquet...that's interesting.

Debbie - You do come up with some great workouts!! Keep em comin!!

Toasty - I think considering all you have done here lately that Low-Max would be a good workout for you to do today.

Terri - You done any kickboxing lately...How about a good ol KPC/L&G workout...or even KPC alone?

Diane Sue - Let us know how your dd is doing...I'll be praying for you guys.

Susan - Great to hear from you! I don't think vacations and workouts go together...know what I mean? I know going back to work can make you quite anxious...you'll be fine. You did it before and you can do it again...I probably will end up sending you guys some pictures via email...everything else seems too complicated right now. I don't feel like thinking...

I'm not having a good day....I'll be back later.

Afternoon All!

My day is all jazzed up....first, I overslept to work out. I finally woke up and guess where my alarm clock was? In my hand! LOL! Anyway, I decided to go to the gym after my friend called and said she was going. We did the Stairmaster (one word or two?) together. We went about 50 minutes! I was soaked!

PT was wonderful last night. Well, kind of...she did this ART therapy on my foot. I forgot what that stands for, but it does involve a lot of pain. It reminded me of a deep tissue massage, but much more painful! I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to walk today. I woke up and it was feeling fine! Yippee! Can't wait to go back for more torture....if it helps my foot I'll do anything. ha ha!

Marietta ~ Thanks for the e-mail. Sorry about that co-worker! Hope your day has gotten better.

Susan ~ I changed PT's because after that set back I thought I should pursue another approach. My dh was also pushing hard for the change. He found this new PT.

Debbie ~ Another great workout!

Terri ~ What rotation are you doing again? Alzheimer's, you know. ;-) No word on Dave?

Christine ~ A cheerleading banquet! Were they doing cheers all night....one word...Tylenol. lol ;-)

Sabrina ~ How are you feeling? My dh suffers horribly from allergies. :-(

Nicole ~ How are you? Has life settled down a bit? How's your ds (both)?

Diane Sue ~ Any news on Candy?

Charlotte ~ How did LM go?

Have a great day everyone!

Dallas

Debbie, I hurt my ankle/foot back in January. I had just finished running and was starting to stretch when I heard a crack with pain. I was finally diagnosed with lateral ankle impingement syndrome. The PT yesterday said my muscles are tight as high as my quads. She said possibly higher - hip flexors. She said the problem could have originated there. She had me doing one legged squats and said that my knees are weak. I sound like I'm a mess. ha ha! She said she could help with all of these things, and get to the root of the problem. Sounds like a plan to me. I miss my running and Cathe cardio!

Sorry for the lengthy post. This whole situation is so frustrating. Any advice?

Dallas

Wow, that sucks. I'm nursing a tight muscle on my left hip thats been killing me lately. I don't know who it happend, but its been there for months now. Your foot sounds painful, how weird that tight muscles can cause such a huge problems. Hope your PT can help you, I may need to find one soon!

Good afternoon,
I did get in my workout today. I got up before my grandson & daughter and did Turbo Jam Fat blaster,w/u and cardio, then Turbo Jam Punch,Kick, and Jam stopping at the tubing work that is only around 5 minutes at the end. I followed this with S&H Legs and Shoulders. Both workouts are fun and more intense than the original set. I really liked both of these the fat burning one was 4 intense intervals & the cardio was only around 18 minutes. The total workout time was 29 min.. The other was fun a fun kickboxing workout. I love the music on these.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Candy (DD) is doing well. We wont get the results till around the end of the week. She cut down on the pain medication some last night. She is hoping to go back to school Friday and finish out her student teaching.

Hi to everyone,

Dallas,
I forgot to tell you thanks for sharing your vacation pictures. My grandson enjoyed going through them with me last night. I bet you had lots of fun. It looks like you have some good arm definition there:)My grandson doesn't know yet but he may be going to Disney World the end of may on his 6th birthday. They have kept quiet just in case my son in law doesn't get to come home from his training for Afganistan.

Marietta ~ I'm printing that workout tomorrow! I'll add it to my growing collection.;-) Thanks for sharing!

Debbie ~ I do think that my injury is due to tight muscles. She was pressing on a muscle Monday I had no idea was so tight. So, all this yoga I've been doing is not enough, apparently! :-( Maybe a monthly massage is in order. ;-) Sorry, you're having some muscle soreness. Are you still able to do cardio? Take it easy...I'm sure you know that already.

Diane Sue ~ Thanks a lot. That means a lot coming from you. You too, Marietta! I'm glad your grandson enjoyed the pictures. How fun for him. I hope they make it to Disney.

Off to bed...

Dallas
