Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Sunday March 12

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did P90 Masters Plyo Legs followed by 20 minutes of Cardio Coach 4 on my bike (just about killed me) and then I did cool down and stretch followed by 55 minutes of Power Yoga (also just about killed me).

I'm still not feeling very well. I was up off and on all night in the bathroom with this stomach flu. I probably should have taken a day off, but I'm hard headed when it comes to working out (as y'all know). If I don't start feeling better soon, I might be forced to a recovery day.

Well, it's only Sunday morning and I'm already getting that sick feeling in my gut thinking about work tomorrow. I really don't want to deal with my Bipolar boss this week. I think she got talked to about her behavior though. I forgot to mention she had a meeting with the COO and VP of Personnel on Friday and when she came back she was mad and later made a comment to me that "remember...she didn't yell at me" which makes me think that's what she was talked to about.

I'm off to soak in the tub and we're going to see The Libertine with Johnny Depp later.

Have great workouts and I'll check back later.....if my sore legs can make it back to the computer! I tell ya, yoga is killer on your legs. If this doesn't lean them out, nothing will!

Dallas- Have you ever done any of Mark Blanchard's yoga? I have an older tape of his that is 90 minutes and is REALLY advanced. I recently bought his Sedona series (set of 5) shot in Sedona AZ. I don't know if it's going to be too hard for me, but I'll have to work up to it. I know in the older tape I have he does a full split in it and then while in the split, grabs his back leg into a quad stretch and then while holding the back foot, he lies his torso over the front leg that is in a split. He also does a crow variation where he takes his legs straight out to the side! Yea right....like that will ever happen for me!!

Lora ~ Just reading your reviews about Mark Balnchard's yoga is making me hurt! lol Holy cow, do you think he's more advanced than Bryan Kest? Does he have a website? I'm so mad we were going to see Failure to Launch on Friday night, but because the reviews were so bad we saw 16 Blocks. That was good, but I was in the mood for a comedy. I saw you said you laughed a lot. We also had some extra entertainment. We had a very young couple two rows in front of us...let's just say they should have gotten a room. ;( My dd is NEVER going to the movies (with a boy). ;-) People next to them got up and walked out. I was about to!

Yesterday I did GS-shoulders, the last two shoulder exercises from MM, MM abs, and MTV pilates mix. Today, I've done nothing yet. Not sure what I plan to do. My mil suprised me with a little b-day party yesterday. It was for my fil, but she included me too.:D I got the cutest hat for Fla. :)

Lora-TAKE A REST!!! Yes I am yelling it at you, lol! I hope you boss did get in trouble for being nasty to people, especially you. That DVD does sound painful. Yikes! Have a nice time at the movies later.

Dallas-That was really nice of your MIL to include you. I would have said something to that couple in front of you. Some people just don't care anymore. I don't know anything about the contract yet. A relocation company has the house and they are closed on the weekend. I will have to wait until tomorrow before it can even be submitted to them. I hope they get back to the listing agent soon so I can hear something.

DH and I are going for another walk this morning even though it is quite a bit cooler out than it was yesterday. No McDonalds this morning though. I had a bowl of grape nuts trail mix. It was yummy. Not sure what else I will get in today. I have another open house I want to see at 1:00.

Hey Dallas - The DH & I never EVER listen to the critics. We see so many movies, the good, the bad and the ugly LOL! So you mention Pilates -- I'm looking to buy a couple Pilates DVDs and I've been spinning my wheels trying to figure out what to get. The problem I have is that I'm not allowed to do pushups, planks, or side planks, etc. so I'm looking to incorporate some pilates that uses hand weights or bands instead of body weight work. Any ideas? Also, yes....Mark Blanchard is tougher than Bryan Kest. He is probably the toughest, most advanced yoga instructor out there. I've heard Ana Forrest is equally as tough, but I only recently bought her 2 beginner/intermediate DVDs and haven't done them yet. I guess she has a series that is on CD that they sell on Fitness Organica and it's supposed to be tough. I don't know how I'd do with an audio yoga workout though. Mark's website is www.ProgressivePowerYoga.com and if you go to the store, I think you can watch clips of the Sedona Series. After I try my Sedona series, I was thinking of getting his Trilogy series that is a set of 3 DVDs that are 90 minutes each. The Sedona series has 2, 90 minute DVDs, Culmination and Foundation and a Core one that is 45 minutes a Stretch & a Flow one that are both 60 minutes. I have previewed some of them and they look like he moves pretty quicly thru sun salutations and there is a lot of variety. I'm trying to build myself towards them with easier DVDs before I try them. Let me know what you think after you check them out and do give me some Pilates rec's. I'm thinking I might get Jonathan Urla's Pilate in the City Advanced Level 3 (the girls at VF recommended it) and maybe an Winsor one with the band. What do you think?

Today is my REST day, and I am really going to enjoy it :7 I may even stay in my pj's ALL DaY!! My dh just left for trap league, and he was wondering what I was going to do today, and I said "NOTHING":7

Dallas I did do Imax 3 last night, but did not ride my airdyne. I ended up taking the kids to the YMCA.....My boys played basketball and dd played in the tubes, and then went swimming. I have a hard time getting workouts in on weekends, but I don't want to deviate from my rotation.....So I felt lucky that I got Imax3 in!! I thought I was going to have to quit half way through?? I got a stictch in my side, but I was able to work throught it??

Lora I think it is wonderful you are getting into yoga.

Terri how is your body today?? I bet you are sore!! I know I would be!!

Late checking in today as I have been well no excuse I just didn't. I slept in and then did S7h legs doing low weight and adding reps for a freestyle workout. I did coremax 3. Last night I found the Biggest Loser workout at Walmart and I am going to do the cardio from it soon. I figured it was cheap and I know some of you like it as add ons etc.

Nicole, can you believe the only place Ihave doms is a bit in my shoulders! I am a little mad about that:) Funny how we want those doms huh?

Sabrina-Let us know what happens tomorrow :0 I know they can counter offer and then your client can etc but this is fun! I know you will get the sale!

Lora-Take a rest day girl! Also take a day off work and look for a new job. You have too much stress. Sorry fro being so blunt. It was meant in concern for you.
