Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Sun March 19

Morning Ladies -

This morning my rotation called for Cardio Intervals (P90 Masters) but I did the entire Cardio Coach 5 for 70 mins. I knew I shouldn't have listened to Diana Sue and got Volumes 4&5. It really kicked my butt. I used the rebounder and my incline step. I then did Power Yoga for Happiness "Magically Hips" premix by Eoin Finn which is an hour practice. He's one of those instructors that kills you ever so gently and softly with that soft spoken demeanor! It was tough. I don't think I will be able to walk later. Why do I do this to myself?? (interesting side note - he says in this DVD that keeping your hips open like this actually slows down the physical aging process - no wonder I love hip openers so much).

If I ever had to recommend just 1 yoga DVD for anyone to try, it would be Eion Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness or Yoga Shakti by Shiva Rea. PY4H has about 6 premixes on it ...everything from a 30 minute quickie workout to a daily dose of bliss at 40 min and then the entire thing is 80 minutes. Eion is from Vancouver and has a way of getting you deeper in poses. Eion's is at Amazon for $19 and Yoga Shakti has a matrix grid with tons of stuff you can program into your own personal workout, or it has 4 preset practices that range from 30 minutes to 80 minutes. It's $24.99 at CDUniverse.com. Won't someone join me on my Yoga quest so you can see what it feels like to have a "yoga butt"?

This is funny - my DH has been using my rebounder (he's getting over some minor running injuries) and he came up to use it today and the incline step was there, so he was stepping on it. I moved him out of the way and showed him how to jump and run up it all the way on the front, high portion and put some impact into it.......he then tried that and he was huffin' and puffin' and said "that really gets you". I said "yeah....I know".. That high incline works the heck out of your legs.

Have great workouts everyone.....thanks for listening to my babbling....off to soak my sore yoga butt in the tub (again).

I'm gonna get a t-shirt made that says "Yes, I'm a hardcore fitness maniac (on the front) .....but Cardio Coach 5 Kicked my Butt (on the back). Now I know why Diana Sue loves Cardio Coach 4&5. I think the difference is that they keep you in your interval zones for 3 minutes of high intensity and shorter rest zones (harder than Cathe - IMO).

Good Morning All!

I thought I'd check in before I'm off and running again. I did get my planned workout in yesterday: 45 minutes on the treadmill, S&H shoulders and CM#2. Today will be a rest day. I need my energy for all these returns now! ;-)

Lora ~ you're really making me want to get more yoga DVDs and CC#4&5. I'll wait on CC until I can run again. I sure hope soon. I think that anti-inflammatory is finally kicking in! Don't worry, I won't do anything stupid! lol! I start PT tomorrow. I can't wait to hear what she's going to say.

Nicole ~ I looked at the two rotations. I forgot what's your goal for this month? Hey, did you ever do the Hardcore Faux CTX one. I remember that one being a **good one**. I did add-on cardio though.

Terri ~ How's everything going?

Sabrina ~ Where have you been? I'll try and e-mail you all our reservations. Maybe it'll give you some ideas.

Hi everyone else! I have to run!

Dallas

Hello Everyone,

Susan thanks for taking a look... I will start that rotation after Easter!! I really have been enjoying doing the GS's the last 2 weeks:D I am really focusing on getting stronger!!

Hey how much does everyone have for your biggest dumbells?? Cathe once posted that all you needed dumbell wise was 5/8/10/12/15 and 20's. Do any of you have 25lbs???

Dallas yep I saved that faux rotation! That one will be good when the kids are out of school. I think you will enjoy going to the Pt. They will work ya.. Also they should give you a copy of the workout you should be doing. Have fun and keep us posted!!

Sabrina you must be working this weekend!! Hope you make a sale:D

Lora T-shirt sounds GREAT!! You go girl!! Does your dh like your rebounder???

Yes, hubby loves the Rebounder on days when his legs are too sore to do the Elipitcal or Bike (or go running), but he really wants to get his heart rate up. He said I blew a light bulb out in the basement when I was doing an interval this morning. I was doing a series of high tuck jumps!! He tried them and almost went flying off of the rebounder. You should have seen him running up the incline step too...it was funny. I tried to get him to do yoga with me but he went in basement and stretched and then to the shower! Wimp!! (just kidding)

Good Morning Maniacs!

Well today I tried to run. Didn't get too far. Tried a interval run so I went really as fast as I could and my lungs just burned so bad that I became exhausted in a hurry. Waited for my heart rate to come down a bit and did it another 3 times, but I only ran for 10 mins altogether and coughed all the way home. LOL! Going to do 3 sets of BBM today as well and work biceps, triceps and abs. Looks like I will be working out with hubby today. He has lost 9 pounds so far since I have been packing his lunches. He is losing it in his stomach because when I hug him, my arms can go further around now. LOL! I am going to come up with my own rotation as I have been thinking about going to WAR with my legs!

Charlotte~~
