Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Sat Feb 11

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Pam Cosmi's Steppin' Rhythm (40 minutes) followed by Cathe's total body stretch. I don't know why I continue to keep this DVD and try to learn it. I fell off of the step twice and once I twisted my ankle. This tape is just too complex for me. When I finally accept that, maybe I'll sell it on E-bay. For now, it continues to frustrate me every Saturday morning! It just looks like it would be fun if you knew it!

Have great workouts everyone, or rest days.
I think we're going to see Final Destination 3 and Firewall this weekend. I'll let everyone know how they are.

Lora ~ Thanks for answering my question. I don't eat fried foods either. I cut out the red meats and milk a long time ago. I still have some cheese. Egg whites instead of the whole egg. I've added ground flax seed the last three months. I eat steel cut oats probably 3-4 times a week. Lots of veggies - always. It's frustrating isn't it? Your step DVD reminds me how I felt about RS for awhile, but I love that one now!

Diane Sue ~ I worry about the whole protein thing too. I'm reading this book Eat to Live. Hopefully, it will clarify some things.

No workout today. I stayed at the neighbors way too late. They are a fun group of ladies! Me and dd have to get ready to leave.

Lora-Yes let me know how you like the movies. Do you see 2 every weekend? I love to see good movies. I really think you should rent House Of D. LOL I keep rying to make people watch that one. It is good though:)

Todays rotation calls for pub and a 30 minute run. I am going to do a 60 minuy=te run. Tonight if I don't go out I will do a SS workout. After legs and glutes and the other laeg workout yesterday I can really feel areas that have not have doms in a bit.

I have no big plans today. Workout and clean and maybe some shopping. I went out for awhile last night with Dave and Ashley. They were hungry so I took them to chilis. I was not hungry and ate later when I got home. We also ran to a mall but Ashley was feeling weak so we didn't stay. Ya know Ladies I am feeling I am in a rut. I need to look for some different things to do. When the weather warms up I want to go horseback riding.

Lora I have one workout like that and I keep hanging in to it thinking I will get the choreography. I think part of it is it is just not a big draw to keep working at it. I know you have been having problems with you computer. I asked you twice about Turbo Jam and what you have done and like.

Today I did P90X Kempo and KPC high intensity drills. I went to make my protein shake and my blender quit. Darn it. SO I ate the fruit and drank the milk and protein powder. I need to call my daughter and see if my grandson will be coming over today.
I am also going to the Akin's health center to see if I can find a couple of things I cannot find in the grocery store. Miso and quinoa are a couple of things I want to find. The quinoa pasta I bought has corn in it as well as quinoa. I bought a Miso soup mix and it is nasty tasting stuff. I would rather add something more enjoyable to the menu.

Dallas, I used to check out lots of nutrition books when my children were small. I read a lot about complete proteins before I started working out with weights. I was very careful about what I fed my children. They were rarely sick. I even gave them a chewable cod liver oil tablet that I cannot find now. We never had ear infections. Very few colds. We hardly ever went out for fast food. I also read a lot of books that sent out scary messages. You have to pick and choose your resources. I spent a lot of time in the health food store buying stone ground flour for bread that I made and we used a lot of wheat germ as well as having a dairy deliver real cheese and yogurt. Not the stuff with vegetable oil in it. I hate the fact that price wise we have to pay for lots of fillers. Now I am on a soap box! Too long. Sorry

Diana Sue - Sorry.....I do remember you mentioning it, but I was at work when I peeked in and I couldn't answer. I like all of the TurboJams. The new live 1/2 hour one is really good, but it's only a half of an hour long. Cardio Party 1 & 2 are both 45 minutes and they are fun, but the newest ones that are due out soon are supposed to be 60 minutes long and more advanced. Maybe you can grab an older one off of E-bay and then hold out for the new set of harder, longer ones when they come out. I think Chalene's energy is great and for some reason, I'm able to get my heartrate higher with Turbo Jam than with ANY other kickboxing I've done ....except maybe parts of Cathe's Kick, Punch & Crunch. I like the music in Turbo Jam also.

We changed out minds and went to see the Matador today and it stunk. I fell asleep again. I had to be up early this morning, as I had to go pick up my glasses and contacts.
 
Hi ladies!!

I ate toooo much chocolate!! UGH!! There was soooo much. There was a chocolate fountain, all kinds of chocolate cakes, brownies, chocolates, cookies, fudge, and pies, it was all there. You wouldn't believe all the things that they came up with. I had one fudge that was a turtle variety, yummy and one that was nutty. It was all so goooood. I need to work out for days to get rid of all those calories and pounds. LOL!

Lora-I hate it when I can't figure out the steps to a workout! Drives me nuts. I have problems getting all the steps for Cathe's! LOL!

Dallas-Congratulations!!! What did you win? Did you like playing? I think there are several different ways people play. We roll 6's when we play. DH was in bed most of the day, he is up now getting something to eat. The boys are still coughing and my oldest wants to run a low temp but he feels fine except for the cough and stuffed up nose. lol

Diane Sue-Sorry your blender quit. Must be time to get a new one. lol

Terri-Bunko is fun! We always have tons to eat too. You should try it. No, I have never heard any more from the guy about the lot. Shoot! lol

I better go take care of the sickies!! LOL!

Sounds like you've all had a busy day. I just got home from work and am definitely lacking energy from the busy day (work retail). The PLAN was to do a hardcore extreme workout...I'll see if I can work up the energy in the next hour or so. If not, I'll get up early tomorrow..it was a scheduled off day.
