Good Morning Fitness Maniacs -
This morning I was planning on only doing a stretch and taking a rest day (I have so much to do today), but I got a new DVD yesterday, so........I did 35 minutes of CIA Step Generation (2602) with Ann Marie Sill, 15 minutes of an Amy Bento stretch segment and Kripalu Gentle Yoga (25 min).
The Step DVD was so much fun that I didn't want to stop. Although, that being said, it's another coreography stumper and I don't know why I torture my coreography challenged self!! I was AGAIN on the wrong foot half of the time and some times even had to do my own version of what they were doing (which I'm becoming quite good at). I got a decent moderate workout. That's all I wanted was some moderate cardio. Looks like this one will go in the category with Pam Cosmi where I practice learning a block every 6 months. I guess I should be happy, as it's sort of like getting a new DVD every time you start to learn a new segment ...LOL!
The DVD (mentioned above) also has a 30 minute strength segment with a med ball warm up and then uses weights and tubing. I fell asleep previewing it last night .....so more on that as I do it. All in all, it has about 90 minutes of stuff on it ...so worth the price. Can someone tell me why people like stuff that's this hard to learn? Is it cuz most people don't have a zillion DVDs like me and they don't want to get bored?
Sabrina & Marietta - Your packages are going out today. I will let you know how much they are when they ship, as I have no idea cuz I never ship DVDs or tapes.
I picked up my car last night and it's the nicest car I've ever owned. I'm thrilled to have it. I can't wait to go somewhere in it. I've got to empty the stuff out of my old car and set up my new car today. The stereo is also nicer than anything I've ever had in a car and totally rocks. My DH was excited also. I love my moon roof and have wanted a car with one my entire life!
Charlotte - The stereo in my new car (the DH & I turned it up all the way to check it last night) actually makes your ears buzz like after a concert. It has a huge subwolfer in the trunk and 2 huge ones in the back. It has a total of 9 speakers. Can't wait to get the BuckCherry CD I have on Preorder....I'll be jammin'!! The concert is next week. I'm hoping I get an email with the info about the sound check, etc. I still don't know if my DH is going or not. If not, I'll just go with my niece and her boyfriend.
Have great workouts. I've got tons to do today and we're also going to see Inside Man later. I've got to go find 2 pair of jeans that fit me. All of mine are either too small or too big! This will not be an easy feat! I hate shopping for jeans....actually all clothes!
I forgot to mention - re: the yoga I did today. This is supposed to be gentle yoga....but geez...it was a little too gentle. I advanced some postures and got a little irritated with how slow it was. I suppose I'll be happy to have this when I'm 70. It also had this weird segment at the end that was like every one doing their own free flowing postures and I didn't know what was going on...LOL.
ETA: Forgot to review the Bento stretch. It was decent. Nothing fancy. Just a lot of basic stretching. Different from Cathe's and 15 minutes is easy to squeeze in. She is very professional and I do like her. I've got the Bootcamp one on the agenda for tomorrow.
