Morning Fitness Maniacs -

Well, I'm up and ready for work. We drove all the way there last night and the show was cancelled cuz the lead singer lost his voice. He was in bed sick. We talked to the Tour Manager and could have gotten autographs from the rest of the band, but they said they're going to reschedule everything at a later date. So, we just turned around and went back home. It made for a long travel day for nothing. I feel like I had NO weekend. I'm bummed.........now I have to go face that woman I work with!! Ugh!! I just hope everything gets rescheduled when we can all get off work, etc.

I did not really feel like working out this AM since I was home late and had not relaxation time this weekend. I only did Turbo Jam Tubular Sculpting workout (1/2 hour) and about 20 minutes of Kick, Punch & Jam.
It didn't do much to cheer me up though and I feel like such a slacker.

Anyone see the post over at VF about Barry's Bootcamp workouts? I've heard of this guy. He's a Hollywood trainer that is supposed to have the toughest boot camp workouts. The set is on presale for around $50. I guess he does 30 minutes on the treadmill and then one body part a day. They come out in October. I don't know how to link a thread or I would do it.

Not that I'm trying to enable or anything, but here is a post from someone who took Barry's Live Class while visiting there.

Ladies...I'm hurtin' today. Not MAJOR doms, but Head-to-Toe doms which are making everything more difficult.

If the DVD comes close to the actual class? It's a must have.

I've taken two classes so far, and each one was 'slightly' different.

The first one was 30minutes of treadmill, followed by 30minutes of total body strength training. (Friday, Sat, Sun they work total body. During the week, it's one body part per day.) The treadmill work was TOUGH, and I was afraid that I wouldn't make it through the class (I hate treadmill). BUT...once I got going, I was ok, and I actually pushed myself harder than I would on a treadmill if I was by myself. To my surprise, my body stepped up to the plate. We did speed intervals, followed by VERY steep hill intervals, followed by more speed intervals and short wind sprints. Next was strength training using dumbells and bands and some KILLER ab work.

The second day, was 15minutes of treadmill/15minutes strength/15minutes treadmill/15minutes strength. This was TOUGH...Same stuff on the treadmill (intervals, sprints, hills, recovery, etc). Grueling, but I think I actually saw my body get thinner as I was running . Then 25 pushups, a round of weight stuff, then abs. Then back to the treadmill...then back to strength. I was a sweaty mess, and actually whining a little during the last ab section.

There is a max of 32 people in the class... 16people start on treadmills, while 16 start on the floor, and you switch back and forth. The instructor was VERY good about circulating through the class to correct form for those doing strength work. The music was AWSOME. The only thing that was a 'bit' lacking was the leg work. (but I'll tack on Tamilee's I Want Those Buns and be fine.)

Today is "Gospel Bootcamp" with the owner. That ought to be fun. This week, I"m also signing up for their Hell Week, which is Mon-Friday, one body part per day. Each day is a different format, but similar to the above. Thursday's are 5min treadmill/5minute strength, and they say this is the toughest of all the classes.

For the most part, I'm taking the next 5 weeks off from work (with just a couple of business trips on the books.) I always said I wanted to do this and take the time to get really fit.

I've actually heard of this guy too.
I think he was featured on a VH-1 show about celebrity fitness. From what I remember about the show (it was awhile ago that I saw it) they mentioned that participants sometimes had to leave the room to throw up. I remember everyone being VERY sweaty and there was a shot of them all running backwards on the treadmill.

I have a treadmill in my workout space, so I'll probably check into this one. It sounds pretty different from anything else I do.

Lora-That stinks that you drove to the concert and it was canceled. I would not have been happy at all. I hope your boss is in a decent mood today and you don't have to put up with her bs. Thanks for the link to the dvd's, I will have to check them out later.

Well I have a sore body today. Dh and I went to his mom's yesterday and dug/chopped/pulled two bush stumps out of the ground in front of her house. It took quite a while to get them out. I was jumping on the stump sideways trying to get some of the roots to show and to give. I bet it looks quite funny if you were driving by. lol

After the stumps, DH and i went for a 35 minute fast walk and then a 10 minute jog. I was ready to eat and sleep after that. I can just imagine what I will feel like later after I get moving around some more. :eek: :D

I have to go pick up a few things before we leave early Friday morning for Wisconsin.

Diane Sue-I am so happy for you that your DH is coming home next month!!!

I plan on doing Yoga X and cardio party2, ab jam and ab ripper. We will see how far I get:) I still keep having bouts of nausea once in awhile.

I was up late with my DDs watching Narnia (great movie! Love it!), so I slept in a little. I'm going to do Ab Ripper X with 200 push ups, then go for a run this afternoon.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Aren't maniacs suppose to have sore bodies everyday??? LOL! I got some killer DOMS myself in the glutes especially. Yesterday I did KPC and PLB back to back! WOWZA!!!!! And I have TO DO WHAT TODAY?????? Extended Lowmax????? BRING IT ON!!!!! I think in a few hours from now, I will be ready!!!!!!

Went shopping on Friday and then again on Saturday. Had a blast! Bought so many random tops and 4 pairs of shorts and another bikini. This is what I got:

several pink tops, aqua blue eyelet lace 2 pc bikini, gray tank top with spider and webs on it from Hot Topic and a black tank with heart on it from Hot Topic. Pair of shorts from Hollister, Pair of shorts from Aeropostale, Pair of shorts from Pac Sun and a pair of camo shorts from JC Penney's. My son got some shorts and tops from Hollister and Drift cologne. DD got some tank tops from Hot Topic: Senses Fail and HIM and some olive green mini dress (which I have a picture of her in wearing my black slutty boots, and I will post soon).

I still have BBM included in my workouts and I feel like my butt is shrinking as my clothes are letting me know by the way they fit now....alittle looser. Still going strong and need to keep shedding alittle more fat so the muscles will stand out....I feel them, I got something going on, I am just waiting for "showtime"> LOL!

Yesterday, I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, CM#2 and GSL floor. Today I did PUB and I'm about to do Power Yoga w/Bryan Kest. Never made it to the gym yesterday. :-( I really want to get some elliptical time in this week. Why is it so hard to get there?!!?!

Hi Maniacs!!

Monday's...gotta love em!!

I had a good weekend...very nice and easy for the most part. I my daughters spent the night with friends/family so it was wierd not having them around. I had to spend Saturday afternoon waiting on someone to come by to fix our garage. It was surely a pain not to have that working...you never realize how much you need it until it's broke.

Yesterday I did my 9-miles. Had to get up a little earlier to get those in before church!!

This morning I did Kelly Coffey's "Shape of Things to Come" along with the power circuits of BodyMax. This was my first time doing Kelley's workout...It was good and she did a lot of cool moves...very athletic, but good. Did feel the need to add on...just a little.

Lora - Sorry about the concert...that's pretty messed up! Thanks for the info on the Barry's Bootcamp...those look great and definitely something I'd like to have. Man! Oct is a long ways away.

Sabrina - Sounds like you had a pretty intense day!! Way to work it!!

Diane Sue - That is wonderful news regarding you dh!! I'm happy for you both!!

Christine - My DD10 LOVES Narnia...I haven't seen it yet. I am going to buy it on my next payday. Do you do your pushups in sets? Do you do a certain number, or keep cranking them out until you get to 200?

Toasty - I'm jealous!! I need new clothes!! I'll get to shop one day. Hav fun with that Extended Low Max - that's one of my favorites!!

Dallas - No rotation...no discipine this month when it comes to that. However,I'm mixing things up and just doing whatever I feel like needs to be done. My training is going good. I'm about where I should be on the long runs....but I also haven't followed my training schedule properly either. I'm having issues this month...

Terri - My weekend was good..proabaly the last quiet one for a while. I've lot a lot coming up in the next few weeks.

Charlotte - DH is out of town in San Diego, so no mud wrestling yet. *winks*

Marietta - I do my push ups in sets of 25. I'm trying to build from there. I'm just amazed I can do push ups at all. LOL.

Dallas - I read the book to my kids when they were young, and the movie was a wonderful adaptation. They paid such attention to detail. Aslan was absolutely impressive. I cannot wait to see it again.

Sabrina - no wonder you're sore! Stump jumping would certainly do it!

Today I did Kickmax minus the legs drills, then I did bits of TLT FYC that I like, and this afternoon I am going to do GS Chest and Triceps.

Charlotte I am happy to hear your butt is shrinking:p I wish I could say the same LOL.... Now have you been going heavy on weights with these?? Tell me the secret:D Sounds like you had a sucessful shopping trip!! Wish I could have gone with!!

Dallas yes it was nice taking the weekend off:D This coming weekend I am going to have a 3 day rest:7 Are you getting back in the swing of things??

Terri I was sooooo tempted today to pull out a SS dvd, but I decided to go with kickmax. I am trying to work kickboxing into my workouts more. I really need a SS fix though haha.

Lora how many dvds do you have???:7 You always have so many wonderful reviews, but I do have to say I have been proud of myself I have not bought anything since the TLT's. I am trying to focus on the dvds I have, but all your reviews are so DARN TEMPTING!!! :7

Where the heck are the Maniacs today!!??

I did the elliptical at lunch followed by some back work. My pullups were really good today and I'm happy about that because days I don't feel to great about them.

That's about all for today...just trying to make it through this day. About to eat an apple w/some peanut butter...love that stuff!!

Christine - That's great on the pushups...I was just curious about how you were doing those. Bet your chest is nice and fried after those.

Good evening,
I did get in the entire workout planned today. I had to split it though. I did Yoga X till I got to the lying stuff then picked up my grandaughter and finished. I received P90 Half Hour Maximum burn abs. (only one) I wil probably try that one out tomorrow when I do Core Synergistics. I got a jury duty notice today. It is for May 1st. The timing is bad for me. I have done this two other times. They never choose me as a juror. As soon as they found out my DH was a police officer they did not want me. I am planning on a graduation party the 5th for my daughter who is getting her teaching degree. I had an eye appointment set for the 3rd to see if I am ready for more laser surgury.

I am excited about dh return. Thank you everyone for your support. My grandchildren are all thrilled. There Papa will be here for their birthdays in May.
