Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Mon March 6

Morning Ladies-

This morning I did Power 90 Masters Sculpt 5-6. No aerobics today, as I have to be at work for the early shift due to a doctor appt.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work.
 
Morning ladies!

No workout yet since the boys are already up. Early birds!! lol

I am off to Peoria today to get a couple books on Walt Disney World. I want to go for Christmas (of course it has to be the most expensive time to go-LOL). Might change my mind about when but I want to go when all the lights and c-mas decorations are up. I have always wanted to go then (I have never been). I guess I should say the boys want to go too. LOL!!! Have any of you ladies ever been??

Lora-I hope you get to check in at work. I hope you doctors appointment goes well too. Let us know!

Have fun with your day! Last time I was at Disney World, I was 5. LOL! Went to Busch Gardens in Tampa a few years ago instead. Like the one in Williamsburg much better though.

You just reminded me to set up a appt with my gynecologist. Think it has been 2 years since I last went. I hope your doctor's visit is a good one.

Where are all the other maniacs at?????

Yesterday I did 3 sets of the BBM using weights....20# db for lunges, 25# for duck squats, 15# for leg presses, 40# for hamstring curls and 70# for deadlifts, etc. I also worked out to the slow and heavy series of tri's/bi's. All took about 2 hours 45 mins. DH worked out with me to doing his own thing. Motivated son and he came in to to join us so I went outside since I was already too hot inside and there would be more room. LOL! A fun day it was! DD worked out on Saturday to slow and heavy series of chest/back with friend. Today my children and friend may also go bike riding into town again, but I have to remember IMAX is tomorrow so I know I will have some mighty toasy legs! LOL!

Lora ~ How do you like that work out? I just won a Power 90 work out on ebay. Shhh, don't tell dh. ha ha!

Sabrina ~ Yes, we're going at the end of this month to Disney World!! I can't wait, but have so much to do to get ready. Yes, it's waayyyy too expensive. I think no matter when you go, unfortunately. They do change the rates based on the time of year.

Charlotte ~ How far are you riding today? Where do you live again? We have snow again. :-( I know I said it before, but I'm ready to get out and about again with the kids!

This weekend I did pilates (more than mat) and Sunday - Power Yoga w/Bryan Kest. Today the kids have off again, so I slept longer! :) I plan on doing the treadmill, leg work and abs. Not sure exactly what, but I'll post later.

You know, I have never tried yoga. Well I should have checked the weather first as it may rain. Want to ride 14 miles into town again like before. We are in Luray, VA. I really need to clean up the yard too. Everytime the plow trucks come thru they dump a bunch of gravel along the side of our yard. It is a real mess out there, and I can't stand it! Will be a nice workout though cleaning it up.

Today is Slow and Heavy chest and back. SOme core work and a powestrike kick box workout. This is the march rotation I am starting today and ading in more cardio.

Lora-Hopeyour appt. goes well
Sabrina-I am thinking of going to San Diego again. Haven't been since August and I could use the break. Not sure of when I can get away though with helping with Dad and Ashley etc.

Hey Everyone,
Today I started my Susan rotation:D I did Tlt FYC, and GS chest and triceps, and 1 set of BBM exercises. I really wanted to blow those BBM exercises off today, but thought I had better not:)

I will ride my airdyne later today!!

Susan I have a feeling I am really going to have doms tomorrow!! Have not really worked my upper body that hard in awhile..

Sabrina Disney is such a FUN place to go!! Your kids are going to LOVE it, and so will you:D

Charlotte I have not seen a gyno either..... I hate going to the Dr. Have a fun time on your bike ride.....wish I could go with!! The wheather is crumby here!!

Lora hope everything goes well at the Dr. appointment!!

Hope you guys had a great weekend...

This morning I did the High Step Challenge...don't know why, that's just what I felt like doing.

I'll run and do some back work during lunch.

Had a very busy weekend....got all done that I needed to, but no down time at all. Another busy week ahead.

Charlotte - You worked out 2.5 hours! That sounds painful....did I read that you are doing an IMAX tomorrow? What gives??

Lora - Hope your appointment goes well.

Sabrina - Have a great day...can't help you with Disney...Haven't been in ages!!

Nicole - I hope I can get a set of BBM today. I did do HSC and that should certainly count for some glute work. We'll see...

Terri - so what do you think about the rotation? I just didn't feel it this morning. My preference is to do cardio in the morning and weights after that. I'll see what I can come up with.

Nicole ~ Sorry, I'm not joining you right now on the rotation. I felt w/my foot and vacation I want to keep up w/what's working. Not that the TLTs won't work....I'll give that rotation a go when I get back. What time did you start this AM?! That was some workout!

I ended up doing 30 minutes on the treadmill. No running yet...I'm too afraid. Maybe I'm "babying" it now? I then did GSL floorwork and then added my version of BBM (3 sets). My dd was **trying** to do them too. :) I was planning on doing the elliptical later, so I'll do abs then.

Got to go play Chutes and Ladders w/my little guy. :)

O.k., it is snowing now. What happen to the rain? Did you do something to bring this on???? LOL! No bike riding today, but it sure is beautiful seeing it come down. Got all my candles lit and a roast in the crock pot! It was in the 50's here most of January and alittle cooler in February. March is crazy here with warm weather and cold on another. It starts to warm up in April.

Hey, what defines a "Hardcore" check-in, as opposed to the regular daily check-in?

I believe this check-in got started when the Hardcore Series came out. Although, we don't always do the HS, the name has stayed with a slight change recently. "Maniacs" was added. These girls are pure maniacs! lol! :p I can't keep up with them!

Does Step Blast + GS Legs + CoreMax 1, one right after the other, count as a Hardcore Maniac day? That's what I did yesterday. Can't do it during the week, but I love doing that sort of thing when I have time on weekends.

That indeed is a Hardcore Maniac day!!

Seriously...."Hardcore Maniacs" is just a name we came up it really has nothing to do with the workouts we do...although sometimes that describes our workouts perfectly. Our main purpose for this checkin is friendship and also workout accountability (if that's what you're looking for). Heck, you don't even have to workout if you don't want and can still check in here. Hopefully...we'll motivate someone enough that they will want to workout.

Hi, Marietta! I may bop on over here from time to time, to get to "know" some other people. I always check in on the regular daily check-in, though, and am getting to "know" the regulars over there pretty well too. Have fun working out!
 
Hey Dallas sorry you won't be joining me, but I think you are right to stick with what you are doing:D I really did not pay attention to the clock today. I just did one workout after the other!!

I did get a 7.5 miles in on my bike this afternoon.

Maritta I did get my set in this am. I just did'nt feel like doing it :p , but I did:7 Hope you get a set in today, but if you don't you are right HSC does work those glutes!

Hey Shannon your workout yesterday was totally HARDCORE:7 Drop in anytime!! We would love to get to know you!!

Hey Girlies!!

I went for a 4.5+ mile run at lunch today. The guys cut it short and I kept going because 1)it felt really good outside and 2)I felt pretty good and if I would have went them it would have only been 3 miles. Hardly worth the it, for all the trouble I go through just to run during my lunch (shower, hair, ect.). I planned to do some back work, but did shoulders instead.

Dallas - I think you are right to not do anything that you don't feel ready for. Yeah, you are being cautious, but better safe then sorry. When the time is right...you'll know it. I don't know where the energy comes from....it's there so I use it. My motto...

Life is not a journey to the grame with intention of arriving safely in a pretty well and preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming..."WOW!! What A Ride!"

Nicole - I didn't get my BBM set in. I put the process of elimination into effect and based on that...BBM got tossed. Maybe tomorrow. Good job on the bike ride! I intended to get to the bike shop over the weekend to get my trainer thingy...that didn't happen. Maybe this weekend...although I doubt it because my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary party is this weekend.

Terri - Are you feeling better...reading the weekend threads gave me the impression that you are a little overwhelmed. Hang in there my friend.

Hi All,

Just checking back in. I did powerstike kickbooxing workout and Slow and heavy chest and back plus some ab work. I am going to do a run tonight. Marietta, I like cardio first as well but I can play with the rotation since I run my business from home. Yes I was /am feeling a bit overwhelmed but I see light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for your support.

Dallas-Ashley finishes treatments the end of this week.
Nicole-Way to go again! Your rotation sounds great.

I will bet Diane Sue is basking in the sun today!

I went shopping for the kids. Now they have to try everything on and then I'll be back at the store probably tomorrow. lol I went and did the elliptical first. I did 45 minutes of hills. I then did abs.

Lora ~ I saw your picture today in the Collage catalog. Somehow I pictured you brunette. :) You're very pretty!:)

Charlotte ~ Honest, I didn't send you snow! lol :) Is is still snowing? I guess you didn't get that bike ride in?

Marietta ~ Hey, I like that motto! My sister has said that one before, but she said something about sliding in w/a martini in hand. :eek::p :+ I go to the foot doc tomorrow. I can't wait to see what she says.
