Morning Ladies -

This morning I only did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster (1/2 hour). I used the weighted gloves (for the first time). This is all I had time for, as my supervisor is letting me work the early shift.

The weighted gloves really work your arms more. I hope I don't have too much pain tomorrow from using them. I don't think I was able to get my HR up as much with the gloves on cuz I was worried about overdoing it and aggravating my shoulder/neck/upper back problems.

Since I didn't have much time for aerobics this week, I'll probably do aerobics and yoga tomorrow instead of take a rest day.

I also did Ana Forrest "The Pleasure of Strength" last night. I did the 30 minute short form workout and then I felt like I wanted more, so I ended up starting it over and doing the rest of it......so I did the entire hour. I didn't like Ana's first DVD "Strength & Spirit" but this one was much better. She's one of these instructors that holds poses for a lonnnnnnnnnggggggggg time ......that is killer on the legs! She also did an intense abdominal/core strengthening routine in this yoga DVD. It felt more intense than normal ab work. It was challenging and really worked deep into the abs. I was impressed with the challenge of this and the fact that it made you feel good at the same time.

Have great workouts everyone. Thanks for all of the nice comments yesterday. I wish I was off today. My DH is home.

TGIF Ladies!

Probably not a busy day in here with some of us off and some out of Town. Today I am doing the gauntlet and also want to do a run at the park later. I am so thrilled with this weather:) This has been a busy week so when I finish payroll today I want to take some time and go have an ice coffee outside and do some reading. Still no word from Dave on Easter yet. He has been sick with a cold so they may not know yet what they are doing. Either way I will go see Dad.

Lora-When do you go to Vegas?
Sabrina and Nicole-you two are probably both on your way out of town by now :)
Dallas-Busy weekend for you I bet!
Diane Sue-Enjoy your time with the grandkids today and I hope the appointment goes well
Marietta-Are you working today?
Charlotte-Ready for work next week? :)
Christine-I bet you are just waiting to get started on the p90x rotation. I am anxious to hear what it does for you. Good Luck!
Susan-What are you up to?
Seems like I missed someone but My brain is still asleep :)

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I did a challenge circuit and some plyo's. I went up in weights for seated shoulder press, did all 24 pushups (in sets of 12), DB chest flyes, latpull downs, etc.

Today I will do a interval run and PUB (down pyramid).

I decided not to take the job. I need an evening job. Got too much going on here during the day and although I can get some help from the family, it will not be enough. I know the way I am and I will be setting myself to fail if I take this job. I will not see my DD as she will continue working more evenings and soon be leaving on her own. I will end up getting things done on my day off and have no time to do stuff with my children. It is just not going to work.

Lora,

Hope your shoulder, neck and back feel better soon. Have this going on myself. Slept the wrong way or something. I need a new ab workout like the one you described. All I have is coremaxes and a few off Cathe's other workouts.

Hey to all the rest of you sweating maniacs!!!

Charlotte~~

Hello there!

I'm just about to do HSTA. I don’t want to spend much time working out today since I have so much to still do before our trip. I'm really getting excited now!

Yesterday afternoon I was with several friends for a cookout and Easter egg hunt for the kids. Most of us are going away for the week. I LOVE getting together with people. I had "things" I wanted to get done, but couldn't resist a good time out.

Nicole, I *knew* your kids would get good reports from their teachers. My son had a comment that he's had to have reminders not to be so silly. I'm not quite sure how to take that. He is pretty funny, but for her the actually write that...hmmm.

Dallas, enjoy the time with your family. It's great that your husband is cooking the animal. I wouldn’t have a clue how to do it. I'm also real glad you all found a new church. I know that can be a difficult process. Gym goers too!

Terri, that's really interesting that you run a housecleaning service! They are well needed. How is your dad, son and Ashley?

Marietta, Sabrina, Diane Sue, Lora and Christine, enjoy your Easter and Spring break. :D

TGIF in a big way!

Lora - Hope your shoulders, neck and back survive the gloves! Enjoy your early evening!

Terri - enjoy the sun! We had sun yesterday - I was so happy! A nice days just puts ya in a great mood!

Charlotte - sounds like you're making the right decision. If this job is going to cut into the important things in your life, then you should not take it. Good luck in your search!

Susan - enjoy your trip! Oh don't you hate comments like that from teachers? Most of them are great, but sometimes you get one who is very set in his/her way and does not appreciate the uniqueness of our children.

Waves hello to Sabrina, Nicole, Susan, Diane Sue, Marietta, and Dallas!

I'm taking today off as a rest day before I start P90X on Sunday. Yesterday was interesting as I found out my job will actually be eliminated on July 7th. The severence package is okay, not fabulous, but workable (better than it might have been). After going through the inevitable blow to the ego, even though it was nothing I did - my job is simply going away, I started realizing that this was perfect! My girls get out of school third week of June, my youngest is going on a school trip right after. She'll have a week at home without me, then I get to spend the rest of the summer with both of them. We're going to spend 2 weeks with my dad and sister and her family at the beach in North Carolina (dad is moving there in June), and afterwards just do fun things. I'm really excited.

Happy Friday all!!

Good Morning Maniacs!!

TGIF!!!!!!!

This morning I ran about 4.5 miles on my treadmill. I'll do my arms at lunch today.

I've got a busy weekend ahead of me...lots to do and very little time to do it. But I know it will all work itself out. My DH's birthday is today and I'm going to have a BBQ for him. So guess what I'll be doing when I get off work?

Lora - Glad your boss let you work the early shift. Have a great weekend...relax!!

Terri - Yeah...I had to work today. I wish I didn't....Hope you have a good weekend and that Dave feels better soon.

Toasty - I totally understand you not taking the job...sounds like an evening position would be best for you at this time. I hope you find something that tickles your Toasty fancy!!

Susan - I love HSTA!! I hope you have lots and lots of fun this weekend. Heck yesterday's activities sounded like fun...does it get any better??!!

Christine - Glad you got to experience sunshine for a change. So...you are actually taking 2-rest days before P90X...right? Let us know how that goes for you. Alot of us are considering them, but we need a little more input. Looks like you are seeing the cup as half full rather than half empty where you job is concerned...you have an awesome summere ahead...enjoy!

I'm sure I'll be back later...Have a wonderful day!

Good afternoon
This mornings workout was P90X Core Synergistics, I Max3 and Ab Jam.
It took awhile at the tax office but my grandchildren were good so I took them to Wendy's. We have some activities planned so I had better run. Have a great Easter weekend everyone.
