Morning Ladies -

Is anyone out there today? Happy Easter. This morning, I did P90 Masters Cardio Intervals (and listened to my new Buckcherry CD). I also did Mark Blanchard's Progressive Power Yoga 1 Hour Stretch DVD and a 10 minute Pilates ab workout from MTV Yoga series.

Dallas isn't around so I won't review the Yoga DVD too much. She wanted to know if Mark is harder than Bryan Kest and I'd have to say yes at this point, although it's been a while since I've done a Bryan video. I'll have to do one and compare. He holds poses long and usually does a really advanced version of a lot of poses. I'm not near there yet, nor do I know if I ever will be. They say you're supposed to do what you can do in yoga and respect your body and not judge yourself, but that's very hard for me to do.

I'm feeling really fat. I can't seem to lose these few pounds I need to lose. When I come back from Vegas, I think I'm gonna do a Hardcore Fatloss Rotation or maybe a Slim Series one. I'm disgusted with this layer of fat that's covering all of my muscle ....especially on my legs. They are starting to look a bit more cut from all of the yoga, but then I've got this nasty layer of fat. I've gotta start getting up earlier and doing more cardio. Must buckle down.

Have great workouts. Happy Easter. I'm going to a movie and then over my Mom's for dinner. She's making me pirohi's since I don't eat meat. My nieces are going over there also.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!!

Yesterday I was a blob...watched movies and ate alot! What can I say? All good eats though...lots of cheese, peanut butter, apples, broccoli, skinless chicken, spaghetti (wheat noodles), low carb bread, oatmeal, protein bars, etc. O.k., this is not the food thread so I will shut up, but I think I am ready to jump back into things today!

Today I will do a 25 min interval run and PUB (pyramid down)...what I was suppose to do on friday.

Lora,

I know, I don't like layers of fat either. I'd like to lose alittle more myself. Posted new pictures of my new bikini (second one this year..HA) and the back shot I would like to think as a "before" picture. My butt and legs still need work, but I was brave and put it up there for the whole wide world to see! YIKES!!!! So your liking your new CD. Gosh, I am getting one too and soon!!!! I need new music! I am sooooo bored with the same ole' music and radio stations don't come in good here where I live, and all they do is talk alot anyways.

Have a nice Easter. What movie will you see?

Happy Easter to everyone else!!!!

I'm doing IMAX 2 here in a few. Like Charlotte, I ate a lot yesterday. I was good until dinner time and then I broke down and at cookies. Lots of cookies. I sure hope I can stay away from the chocolate today. I'm really going to try. Don't need it, don't want it! (yea, right!)

Can you give me more info on this yoga workout you did, Lora? Whats the instructor name, whats the DVD title? I love Bryan so I'm thinking I'd love Mark as well.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ladies -

Mark Blanchard is the instructor. He is supposed to be the "Toughest" there is when it comes to power yoga. Some people don't care for his voice (although he's gotten better lately). It doesn't bother me. He is very passionate about what he does. His website is www.ProgressivePoweryoga.com (I think). The newest series is the Sedona Series. It has 5 DVDs in it and they are Foundation, Core, Flow, Stretch & Culmination. They are designed to be done in a rotation all week and finishing up with the Culmination DVD. They range in time from 50 minutes to 90 minutes. He has a Trilogy Series (available a bit cheaper from Amazon) called Progressive Power Yoga. I just got these and have not done them yet. They are all 90 minute DVDs. Lastly, I have an older tape of his called "The Power Within". This is the TOUGHEST power yoga tape I have. It is the Ultimate in power yoga. It is 90 minutes and he does everything from a full split and then while in the split, pulling your back leg up (in a quad stretch) while lying your upper body down over your front leg to arm balances with his feet sticking all the way out to one side. I don't know if this one is available any longer. You might try to find some of his stuff on E-bay before you buy them (as they are expensive). Also there was a code to get money off the Sedona series ($15 or so) that I found on the VideoFitness site. It may still be good. You might do a search over there to find it.

Hi Charlotte- Yes, the CD is excellent. It's not as heavy as Seether. Doesn't have that heavy bass (head bangin feel) that Seether has. It is more of a bluesy, down and dirty rock and roll feel. It's really good. I just ordered his solo effort off of Amazon also. Reviews say it's a little heavier than BuckCherry. I've been listening to it non stop and love the songs So Far, Next 2 You and Out of Line, as well as Crazy B@#@. I can see me jammin' this for quite a while....on my new car stereo...the Audio Fanatic Package. This stereo goes so loud that your ears ring like after a concert. I love it!! It has a huge sub-wolfer in that trunk with a total of 9 speakers. I don't think you around the day I posted about it when I first picked up my car. The DH and I turned the stereo up all the way to see how loud it went and then our ears were ringin!!

See y'all later.

Charlotte - I just checked out your bathing suit pic. I think we have pretty similar body types. I'm not really fat, fat....but I think I'm a heck of a lot harder on myself than others see me. I'll always see myself as the chubby little kid I was! (with braces and glasses and knock knees) LOL

Oh and I'm lucky....we have a really good hard rock station around here. It's newer. We've had it for about 2 years. I listen to it constantly.

Happy Easter!

I am going to do a power strike workout then go see my dad. Probably take him to lunch or on a picnic. Later I willdo a SS lowerbody workout or run depends when I get back.

Lora-What movie you seeing?
Debbie-You look awesome!
Charlotte-Have a good day1
Christine-The gift you got for your Daughter sounds very nice. How wonderful she is interested in her heritage! Did you start p90x?

I will check back!

Terri

Christine - I'm gonna do a P90 X rotation after I lose these few pounds I need to lose. I wish I was thinner, so I could do one with you now. It would be fun to have someone to do it with. I just did that P90 Masters rotation to get ready for it. I did one a long time ago, but I did the Lean one and it didn't have as much upper body work in it. I'm going to do the classic next time.

Terri - nothing good as far as the movie "Scary Movie" sequel. It will be stupid. There's not a whole lot to choose from.

Thanks Lora! I'll check him out. 90 minutes is a bit long for me to do yoga, but I still would like to check this out. Great info!

Just got done with IMAX 2, I love that workout. It goes by so fast. I was in my zone for 37 minutes and burned 298 calories.

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Easter Fitness Goddesses!

Charlotte- LOVE the new suit! How stunning! And so feminine. I think you look fabulous!

Lora - Oh I know what you mean, and I hesitated to get the series yet. I'm not where I want to be at all weight loss wise, but I figured it was time to shake things up and concentrate on strength for a while. I will be adding more cardio than recommended, simply because I do want to lose as well. I need to constantly challenge myself or I get bored. When I do lose the weight, I'll do another rotation focused soley on gaining definition.

Debbie - I love IMax 2, as well. That's one of my favorites.

Terri - today is the big day. I was too busy this morning putting together baskets (nice thing about having teens - I get up WAY before they do!) to start, but in about 1/2 an hour I will.

Dinner last night was a blast. I really like DH's boss and wife. Ate pretty well, but bought a fruit tart from Whole Foods that was incredible. Not exactly clean, but oh so worth it! And the wines he bought were wonderful, too. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. I'll check back in after I do P90X Chest and Back to tell you what I think.

Finished P90X Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X. Wow! I'm really feeling it in my back right now - it feels great. I was very careful to use proper form and push myself as hard as I could. It feels wonderful. I can see why people say that it's tough to do this and cardio, so I'm going to see how I feel. I need to go heavier in some things, and I SOOO need to work on push ups, but I can tell I'll get way stronger on this rotation. I'm very excited about it.

I am doing PUB right now. Getting ready for triceps next. I am having a hard time from donating blood. I just keep getting dizzy after each set. I am drinking a ton of water though. I thought after 2 rest days I would be fine and resting and eating/drinking plenty of good stuff. Guess since I don't weigh alot it is taking longer to regain strength?

Send me some maniac vibes...will ya???? LOL!

Charlotte~~

O.k., I just finished my interval run after PUB. I like doing a high job down the road here and there...it's cool! LOL! I did not have to go down in weights even for bicep curls. I am a happy happy girl now. DH was driving me crazy earlier and wanted to watch a movie...a really slllooowww movie and I hadn't worked out so I was feeling very antsy and could not just watch that movie so I said, "I am working out"..."Bye". }( I have been watching movies all week and I can't just sit and watch one after the other.

I will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Charlotte~~
