Hardcore Fitness Maniacs August 2026

Good morning,

I had to take Sadie to the vet yesterday, she vomiting and not eating. Her vet is a regular vet not an emergency vet. They kept Sadie all day yesterday and gave her IV fluids, ran a bunch of blood tests. When we tried to pick her up, her vet recommended she needs to hospitalized. She was suspecting Addison Disease, her cortisol levels were low. DH and I took her to another urgent care hospital with an Internal medicine doctor. She is monitored 24 hours. At first, the doctor didn’t think Sadie has Addison disease since it didn’t align with the test from the vet. She said she will run all those tests again and doing ACTH simulator with messusing her cortisol levels. I checked on Sadie throughout the night. The doctor called letting me know they did the ACTH test and started her on IV meds for Addison disease since her cortisol levels dropped again. They will do an ultrasound this morning, Sadie will also see the Internal doctor this morning. Sadie will have to say longer in the hospital than the initial 12-24 hours. Please keep Sadie in your prayers!

I did managed to get a 40 min Pilates in yesterday. Waiting for the hospital to call me.

Diane - Happy birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day. Sorry I missed it yesterday. My eyes are still foggy to from my surgeries. They want me on a month long antibiotics. They believe my autoimmune medicine is causing my glance to go haywire. My rheumatologist wants to see me on Tuesday. I also have joint pain in my knees and ankles. I don’t think the new medication I am not working. I just had both knees injected, they still swollen. Good luck with your move and buying new appliances. Your new house sounds amazing.

Debbie - my rheumatologist wants to see me on Tuesday. I sent him pictures of my right eye. The antibiotics are helping. The eye doctor can’t explain why I am getting those stye? They want me to clean both eye’s with baby shampoo, massage my eyes, I do warm compresses 3 times a day and take antibiotics and antibiotics cream. I haven’t worn make up in over a month. Not putting anything on my eyes. Thanks for the name of your lawn mower. I will look it up.

This morning I did RAW Kickboxing July. This is the 2nd time I've done this one and I really love it. The music is odd as it mixes rap with 70's music but I like most of it. It's really a fun workout and gives me a high step count.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 327 calories, did 4648 steps and HR was 137/162.

Diane - Wow, you guys will be busy for a while! I hope you will be able to get some workouts in here and there. Happy Birthday!!! I hope this weekend is full of wonderful surprises for you!

Belinda - Prayers for Sadie. OMG, that poor thing! I hope they can do something for her. I don't even know what Addison's disease is? I'm crossing my fingers she doesn't have it. Our pets are so precious to us and it hurts when they are hurting. :( I'm glad your eyes are getting a bit better. I have to use those heat things on my eyes every once in a while too. I don't get stye's, but my eyes itch a lot at the water lash line and apparently that means it has oil buildup. The heat compress helps a lot and feels awesome!!

Where is everyone else? Jolie, where are you? Roxie, Roselyn?? Hope you girls are all doing well. I worry when people don't check in.

I just did LMR Functional Core. I am getting ready to visit Sadie :(

Debbie - great job on your workout this morning. Addison Disease is a serious medical condition where the adrenal glads stop making enough important hormones like cortisol and aldosterone. They did the simulator test, I will get the results tonight. Praying she doesn’t have it. Everything is pointing to this disease according to her blood tests. I agree, our pets are so precious and it hurts when they are hurting. Wished she would eat.

I will be back later this evening, visiting my Sadie.

Belinda I am so sorry Sadie has Addison. I hope the vet can help. It hurts to watch our pets having health problems.

Debbie nice work on Raw kickboxing July. I will have to check it out.

Evening,

No workout today. I am beat. At midnight I ended up taking Sadie back to the ER, she started having very bad diarrhea. I called the ER first, they recommended to get her checked out. They did blood tests, gave her fluids. Thank goodness, it wasn’t due to Addison disease. Probably had something to do with what they feed her in the critical care clinic. Her tummy wasn’t ready for it. They sent me home with anti diarrhea meds, probiotics and another one for upset stomach. She is alert, not eating a whole lot. I am so beat.

Diane and Roselyn -thank you! Sadie has to be on life long prednisone and a hormone shots. I hope she can get of the prednisone. It hurts so bad seeing her like this. I feel so bad for her.

I will be back tomorrow.

This morning I did RAW Box & Pump 2. I like this one a lot but it is quite fast. Had a great workout.

Workout was 41 minutes, burned 365 calories, did 3462 steps and HR was 141/165.

Belinda - I am so sorry to hear about Sadie. I sure hope they can give her something to help her with this issue. I'm sorry she was having stomach issues, too. Geez, when it rains, it pours. I will be praying for your little friend. It's so hard to deal with stuff like that!

Have a great day everyone!!

Evening,

I managed to get LMR Mobility fusion and bonus cardio. I also did Pilates.

Diane - thank you. It hurst seeing Sadie having to go through this. She is doing a lot better today. She is eating, still not what she used to eat but eating. She is very alert, follows me around the house. I am a little worried her being on prednisone for the rest of her life. That can’t be good for her. They keep telling me they will tapper her down, she is on 2.5 mg right now to stabilize her cortisol levels. Her blood pressure and electrolytes were really bad when I took her to the critical vet clinic. Did you move into your new house yet? Wishing all the best and a smooth move.

Debbie - thank you. With steroids and hormones shots. I am not happy she has to be on steroids for the rest of her life. The doctors are very positive. Sadie has a follow up appointment on Thursday. I also scheduled all her other appointments for the shots and tests already. It will be a busy month. I hate seeing her like this. She is finally eating today and is very alert. Thanks for your prayers for my little girl. I love her so much.

Roselyn - how are you doing?

Where is Jolie?

Good night. I have an appointment with my Rheumatologist tomorrow.
