Friday I did CDorner Low Impact Aerobics 80's/90's . 32 minutes, 182 calories. Saturday I did Senior Shape Strength 1 Dumbbell using a 12# dumbbell and following with a mobility stretch, 45 minutes, 168 calories. No workouts Sunday and Monday. We had errands to do and a family get together.
Today I did LMR Elevated #2 Upper Body Strength: biceps, back, and shoulders, 43 minutes, 148 calories, heart rate 97/129 and Senior Shape Low Impact Cardio: Pilates Inspired, 26 minutes, 120 calories, heart rate 108/133. Total Time 69 minutes, 268 calories.

Debbie, I am sorry you are still dealing with the problem. I remember having something like that and it lasted quite a while. I would sit down in the car and would almost jump back out of the seat because it hurt so much in that position. I took a pillow and would sit on it with my hip leaned at an angle to try and help. I don't know why those things happen so quickly and take forever to get rid of.

Belinda, nice work on Cathe Live 589 Glute Camp and Pilates Balance and Strength. Pilates sure does help with balance and posture. I only ordered a month of on Demand with Live.

Jolie, I am glad you got your mother all settled in at assisted living. I hope she really likes it there. I am sure it was hard for you.

Roselyn, nice work on the Sprint intervals and legs. Age does cause a lot of things and being tired more often is a usual thing. Probably because older people do not generally sleep all that well at night. My Dad was always falling asleep in his chair. I am sort of in between being that old, I think, and where the rest of you are;)
 
Hi all. Still not working out. Even though I feel better about 90% of the time, the issue is not gone. Every time I get in my car and drive the pain comes back. I don't get it because I can sit on everything else without an issue. I have a physical on the 28th and I will ask my doctor to give me a script to go to my PT person. I need to find out what exercises I can do to get this to heal.

So for now I'm taking it easy and I hate it. I feel like such a slug. I'm getting good steps in each day, but still hate not working out. This sucks.

Debbie that is when my hip hurt the most my PT said my legs need to be at a 90 degrees angle and my lumbar needs to be supported and my core strengthened
 
My mom's doing OK today just still pretty weak from spending all day in an ER trying to tell her she needs to eat a little more for her body to work properly. We did get her a probiotic which may help her.

Yesterday was a leg day today, upper body Work my husband had total shoulder replacement surgery yesterday so we got that going on too

Hi,

Today I did 2 zoom live dance classes and Pilates UB. I also walked outside.

I am getting my hair done tomorrow. I will wake up early to get my Pilates workout in.

OK, I have to say that dealing with our aging parents is aging me!!! It is always something. Today my mom and the caregiver are picking up my dad's ashes, I did not want to go and do that. I have yet to grieve and I think that would put me over the edge and I need some peace in my life right now. This is what I have done for workouts this week.
Monday, Chiropractor appointment so I just walked 3 miles in the hills with the pup.
Tuesday, 3 mile walk in the am, 2 mile walk in the pm.
Today, 4.3-mile interval run on the elliptical, I was soaking wet when I was finished. I did my own workout afterwards which included Chest and Triceps. I love doing cardio again and then adding some heavy weight work at the end while I am cooling down. I want to shed some fat and get my cardiovascular health back to where it was years ago. I have to say, it is really helping me with my anxiety. :)

Debbie, I am so glad to hear that the pain is going away. Sometimes we just have to give our bodies a rest and then you will come back even stronger and feeling great! Enjoy your walking because steps are so important for us too.

Roselyn, I get it with our parents. How old is your mother. My mom is 89 years old but acts like she is 30! She really is doing well except for skin issues and high blood pressure.

Diane Sue, you are coming up with some good workouts to do. I like the variety of the workouts you are choosing to do.

Belinda, nice job with the Pilates workout and the zoom classes yesterday! I have yet to ever do a Pilates workout, I would love to try a reformer class one day.

My mom is 86 and she keeps going. I'll tell you that this hospital stay wore out but she played dominoes today tomorrow she's playing poker where she lives so she tries to stay active.

Well, I'm hanging in there. Yesterday I was in pain all day, today - nothing. I don't get it. Hopefully it's on the mend.

Jolie & Roselyn - Taking care of our parents is very difficult. My mom was really sick this week, coughing horribly, sinuses very plugged. She never gets sick so this really worried me. Of course she doesn't' want to go see her doctor. I ended up sending an email through MyChart and he called in a prescription for her. It seems to be doing the work and hopefully she will feel normal soon. It's always something. My mom turns 89 in July. Hard to believe.

Diane - I don't know why these weird things happen either. Other than not stretching I don't know why this happened. Could be Cathe's high intensity workout did it to me, I should have known better.Oh well, hopefully by next week I will be good again.

Roxie - I've tried everything, believe me. I sit at a 90 degree angle at all times, I've tried lumbar support and donut pillows. They do nothing when the pain is acting up. But thanks for the thoughts on this. I would have tried them had I not already done so. :)

Belinda - Great job with your workouts!!

Today was live zoom dancing plus live zoom Pilates.

We picked up our RV, tomorrow we getting it ready for Saturday. We are going to a celebration of life for my husband cousins fiance. He passed away a few weeks ago.

Debbie - I feel so bad for you. Being in constant pain is no fun. I hope you feel better soon and the meds start working.

Jolie - I never thought I would love Pilates as much as I do. I have done reformer Pilates. Sorry going through all this with your mom.

Roselyn - your mom is very active for her age. Good for her.

Hi,

My knees/joints are killing me today. I had to take some meds for inflammation. I only take it when my knees are at that point. I skipped my live zoom dance class. I did Pilates Mobility for the knees.Felt good afterwards. Feeling a little better.

We had a water leak in the RV. We had the mechanic come out, he can’t figure it out why we don’t have hot water. Can’t take a shower in cold water…not this girl. Tomorrow I am going to a wedding dress fitting for my DD, she is getting married in September this year. The plan for us was to met her than take off to Ohio afterwards. I hope the mechanic can figure what is causing the hot water not working. The RV was winterized, we can’t figure it out. I am still hoping everything will work out and we can drive to Ohio. Cleaning the RV was a waist of my time, now I have to clean it again. I did clean my house instead, lol.

No workout yesterday or today. I had an arthritis appointment yesterday. My husband and I ran errands and had lunch afterward. They are going to get approval for some infusions since none of the other meds worked for me. The family went to a run event they have been getting ready for early this morning. My granddaughter was visiting as well. Then pregnant granddaughter was in a car accident. They are keeping her overnight after tests. Baby is okay. It is due in a couple of weeks. She was hit with the airbag and jolt and car was totaled. Scared us all.

Jolie, great job on keeping up with the walks, elliptical, and weights. I seem to be doing better doing my workouts the way I have been. Better recovery, I think.

Debbie, I know stretching and mobility helps a lot. Also, it seems compound moves and workouts that move fast seem to cause me a lot of problems. When I look at compound moves and metabolic workouts, I usually decide to not do them. It is just to easy to tweak something and then be left in pain.

Belinda, I hope you get hot water in your RV. Have fun on your trip and I hope you feel better. The pain is not fun. I have had to resort to some ibuprofen the last couple of days. My knee really hurts and my back.

Diane - I am so happy your granddaughter and baby are okey. How scary! I am sorry non of the meds are helping you. What kind of infusions are they want to give you? Is it Remicade? Sorry you are going through so much. Hang in there.
 
Happy Sunday. Yesterday I drove out to the desert and visited my mom. We went shopping and out to lunch and she did the entire day without using her walker! This is huge but I have been working with her since my dad passed to get stronger and it is really helping with her movement. I bought her 3# hand weights at TJMaxx yesterday and she is going to start lifting weights in her room sitting in a chair. She used to go to the senior center for years for her workout class, she really misses it. The one at the assisted living is good too but she wants to do it every day.

Today's workout was CL #465 Strong and Fit All Upper Body, and I had a great workout! I went heavier than Cathe and did slower and lower reps than what she did and it was so good. I hope to get in another workout this week because now on Saturdays I will be visiting my mom and have to leave at 5:30am to miss traffic and I am not working out before I leave LOL! Too long of a day for me going by myself.

Debbie, I hope your pain goes away soon.

Belinda, bummer about the water leak in the RV! Great job on the workouts the past few days as well.

Diane Sue, sorry to hear about your granddaughter getting in a car accident. I hope she and the baby are going to be ok. That must be scary for the family.

Roselyn, I hope your mom is feeling better today. She is a poker player you say!!! Love it!

STS M1 D1 + STS extended stretch + Pilates (that one was more like a standing stretch = 11 min) all done. I didn’t go as heavy on my shoulders. I forgot about all those push ups.

Hi all! I am feeling MUCH better now. Thanks for all the prayers! I think I can possibly get a small workout in on Wednesday, I'm still going to give myself a couple days to recoup. I started using my red light therapy pad on Friday and it seems to have helped tremendously. I wish I would have remembered we had it. So I'm happy to say I drove this weekend without any issues and came to work with no pain. I'm still taking two Aleve so I hope that isn't masking the pain, but it didn't really mask the pain last week so I think I am really getting better now. I've been stretching quite a bit throughout the weekend as well.

Roselyn - I hope your mom is getting better. My mom is better but still coughing quite a bit. She was really sick last week with some bug.

Diane - OMG on your granddaughter and her baby getting into that car accident! I sure hope they are both ok, how scary!! I hope the infusions help you, I know they helped my cousin a tremendous deal.

Jolie - So glad to hear your mom is doing so well!! Wow, that is amazing. I wish my mom would workout a bit more, I also bought her some 2# hand weights but they just sit and collect dust. Maybe I need to remind her about that.
