Hardcore Fitness Maniacs April 2025

Hi,

Yesterday we visit our DD and her BF. We ended up staying until this afternoon. Before we left DD’s house, we went for a nice long walk. Once we got home, I did STS 2 TB Giant Sets.

Great job everyone with your workouts today. I will be back tomorrow. Good night.

Today I did CDorner Classic Aerobics workout hi or lo impact, 45 minutes, 279 calories, 4,704 steps. I followed it with CDorner Morning Spinal Mobility Day 10 of the challenge, 21 minutes, 24 calories. Total time 66 minutes, 303 calories. Tomorrow is game day with my lady's group so not sure I will get anything in.

Belinda, that is really nice that you are doing the study to help others with RP. I was almost where I should start feeling results with my med. My blood pressure has dropped back to normal over the few days I have not taken it. I am not sure where my Rheumatologist will go from there. I think because you have been taking care of your health and fitness all of these years helps you through this. You work hard and are dedicated to getting in the walks and workouts. Nice job getting in a walk before you left your daughter's house and still got in STS 2 Total Body Giant Sets when you got home.

Debbie, good job on Box and Pump 8. I did the same thing with the overhead dumbbell knee lifts when I did that workout. I like the Raw stretch finisher. You get a good stretch for legs, and it is short.

Jolie, I am glad you got your gym all set up and got in a great workout with different pieces of equipment. Good job on STS Meso 2 biceps.

No workout today. I'm not sure what happened, but my Garmin alarm either didn't go off, or it went off and I shut it off and fell back to sleep. I got up late and luckily our cats woke us up or I'd still be sleeping. LMAO! Not really, we are early risers. But still. So I'm bummed I didn't get my workout in.

Hope you all have a great day!!!

Yesterday's workout was a 3.5 mile walk with the pup. Today I did Cathe's STS Meso 2 Disc #16 Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and had a great workout. I am loving these workouts, oldies but goodies. Workout was 1 hour in length, but it did not seem that long.

No time for personals, off for my final dentist appointment till I have to re do the implant down the line.

Make it a great day.

Hi,

Today I did zoom dance plus Functional Barre.

Diane - great job on Classic Aerobics workout hi or lo impact plus Morning Spinal Mobility Day 10
Have fun with your lady's group today. Glad your blood pressure is back to normal. Maybe your Rheumatologist will change to a different meds? I had to go through a lot of diffrent meds, still not perfect. Aww…thank you! I don’t want anyone to go through what we have to go through with RP. It’s a horrible disease.I do believe keeping up with my workouts does make a big difference in how I feel about myself. I feel normal when I work out. I do have to modify a lot, which is ok with me. I am thankful I am can still do the things I love.

Debbie - you probably needed that sleep.

Jolie - good luck with your final dentist appointment

Good night.

This morning I did a workout I haven't done since 2022! It was RAW Core Sculpting and I loved it. Great workout, it is good for those days when you don't feel like doing cardio or lifting. It fit the bill for today. Since I did Box & Pump 8 I have a knot that is very deep. I'm pretty sure it was from the Aaron Presses. I should not have done that exercise.

Tabata style: 20 on/10 off - 8 rounds each exercise

Used 2# dumbbells and 2# ankle weights for the entire workout

Boxing Crosses/Knee crunch

Circular Hydrants

Hooks/Opposite Twist to Knee

Frog Legs off Step
- I don't like these at all but did them since I rarely work my low back

Upper Cuts/Smash Twist

Bird Dogs
- picture dead bug but on your knees so you are working your low back. Not fun, was worried about doing this one so I didn't use my dumbbells

Dead Bug

Workout was 42 minutes, burned 228 calories, did 1086 steps and HR was 119/172.

Jolie - Great workouts!! I am going to do the STS 1 Meso 2 workouts tomorrow. Hopefully this knot will be gone by then.

Belinda - Great job on your workout!

Roselyn - How are you liking Caroline's app? Are the workouts similar to the ones she has on Youtube?

Diane - I PM'd you - have a question about the Garmin.

Have a great day everyone.

No workout yesterday. I had a nice time with my lady's group and when I got home my husband and I went out to eat and then had a ride on his BMW scooter he just got. Today I did Raw Barre #1, 39 minutes, 140 calories, heart rate 99/159. I then did L.ITE Pyramid Pump triceps superset and biceps superset, 15 minutes, 78 calories, and finished with Raw Your Healthy Back, 33 minutes, 76 calories. Total time 87 minutes, 294 calories.

Jolie, nice job on the walk and STS Meso 2 Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps.

Belinda, nice work on Zoom Dance and Functional Barre yesterday. I was sort of sad stopping the med. I gave it a couple of more days before I did stop. I was right at 6 weeks and hoping it would start helping soon. I imagine he will offer something else or some suggestions. It always feels much better getting in a workout. I cannot imagine just sitting around with no hope. So many people just give up. I do a lot of adjustments with the workouts too.

Debbie, great job on Raw Core Sculpting. I probably have done it, but I do not remember. It looks like a good workout. Ouch on the knot from Aaron press. Boxing seems to give me knots when I do them. Particularly when I am doing it aggressively.

Still have a bit of that knot, it's feeling better but didn't want to push it today. I got on my treadmill for a bit and then did my PT exercises, which have been helping a lot. Love that they can help almost immediately. I sure need to keep them up. Not sure why I don't? Just no time I guess.

Treadmill workout: 31 minutes, burned 205 calories, went 1.5 miles, did 3610 steps and HR was 119/134.

Diane - Glad you had a good time with your ladies group. Sounds like fun. Thanks for the info on MFP. I Pm'd you again. I don't get how to enter the calories and nutritional information. I hate when I can't figure things out.

Have a great day everyone! This is my last day and then I'm off for spring break. Woo hoo!!!!

Yesterday I walked the pup 2 miles in the a.m. and 2 miles in the p.m. I like doing it like that because my feet don't get so sore as if I walk 4 miles straight. Today I did Cathe's STS Meso 2 Disc #18 Back and Biceps and had an excellent workout. I am already seeing more definition in my muscles; I need to train this way again. All of the CL workouts are fun, but I see no results in muscle definition. I also like the breaks to recover and set up if need be. I am going to pull out all of my old DVD's and start using them again. It is what I like and why am I not doing them? I have to do P90X again too, I like those workouts. I just mute the workout and play some kick butt music, and it is really fun. Now that I am back in my gym I have all of the equipment to do some great workouts.

Debbie, great job on the TM today and I am sure you will love doing STS again, I am loving it! I am not lifting as heavy weights as I should but I will not injure myself this way. Sometimes I just add on an extra rep or two if I need to. I have a knot in my right shoulder blade area.

Belinda, Great job with the functional upper body rotation!

Diane Sue, great job on the workout and how fun about your husbands BMW scooter. My husband rides motorcycles, dual sports and dirt bikes with my boys. I used to ride when I was a teenager but not anymore.

I hope you all have a great day! My son flies home tonight till Monday, I am really looking forward to spending time with him.

Today I just did CDorner deep stretch for 30 minutes. My hip joint hurts like crazy today. It hurts to sit. It started a couple of days ago. I guess I will be talking to my doctor about that as well as the Chest CT stuff. I had a stress fracture in the area but have not had another Bone density scan in 3 years.

Debbie, nice that you got in some treadmill time and PT exercises. I think it is time it takes to do the PT stuff and still get the other workouts in. I do add some moves throughout the day. Stopping to do some door stretches, and shoulder openers, etc.
You have to put in the food to get the macros in on MFP. What I hate with the programs is when I make a recipe, I have to build it in to get the macros and everything in.

Belinda, great job on Functional Upper Body and finishing the 8th week.

Jolie, good job on the split walks and today's STS meso 2 back and biceps. My problem with the P90X workouts is they were not chaptered or set up where you could easily skip moves and not options. I am sure it costs them less to do it that way. I still have all of the different P90X series workouts like #2 and # 3 and P90X+. I would like to lift heavier, but I just can't right now. My husband has been through a lot of bikes. We had a Harley for a long time, and he sold it when I couldn't ride on it with him because it aggravates my neck. Our garage is getting full with the vehicles and 3 e-bikes. Two of those e-bikes are often mistaken by people for being a motorcycle when my husband is going down the road at 43 miles an hour. Enjoy your time with your son.

Roselyn, good job on the full body workout.

This morning I did RAW July Rotation Lower, Arms, Shoulders and had a great workout. Kelly uses a 35# barbell for this entire workout (well, most of it) but I mixed using dumbbells and a barbell.

3 circuits, 10 reps and hardly no rest

Leg Extensions (or Pulse Squats: 25# dumbbell (I did pulse squats)
Wide Squats: 30# (plie)
Elevated Squats: 35# barbell
Deadlifts: 35# barbell
Bicep Curls: 35# barbell
Shoulder Press: 12's (I did Arnold Press)
Overhead Triceps Extensions: 10's

That knot is still there but getting better, I was careful doing this workout. I burned 219 calories with this workout. I also got on my treadmill and walked 1.16 miles. Total workout time was 55 minutes, burned 472 calories, and HR was 143/185. My HR didn't feel this high but I was getting out of breath when I was doing the leg circuit. Had to stop and rest for a few.

No time for personals. I'm off for spring break and need to get some stuff done before my mom and I go to Good Friday mass. Happy Easter to you all!!!!

Today I did LMR Anytime Mobility, 17 minutes, 54 calories and LMR functional pilates foam roller and ball mix 28 minutes, 55 calories. Total time 45 minutes, 109 calories. I feel better this evening.

Debbie, nice job on the Raw July rotation, lower, arms and shoulders.

Roselyn, good work on getting in bis and tris.

Belinda, great job on STS 2 Lower Body 1.

Hi,

Today I went for a walk outside, it was impossible to walk with thousands of gnats attacking us. After 1 mile we had enough fighting them off. Bug spray didn‘t help either. I also did STS 2 Active Recovery + STS 2 TB stretch. Tomorrow I will do Restorative Yoga, my last workout in this rotation.

Cathe Live has a Flash Sale for $89 a year, I am so tempted to sign up. It‘s an amazing price for a year of CL.

Diane - great job on LMR Anytime Mobility and LMR functional pilates foam roller and ball mix. I really like LMR workouts, need to check out all the premixes.

Good night.

Today I did CDorner to the beat high or low impact cardio "Rock Music" 45 minutes, 315 calories, heart rate 142/177 (I do not think I got that high) 4,308 steps. When I was done I did my own additional stretching. My hip is feeling much better. Not sure what I did to make it so painful. It has been raining most of the day. I gather it will be all night too. I hope no flooding when I go to my son's house for Easter.

Belinda, we have loads of mosquitos all over the place. They were swarming the front porch and some still there after I sprayed. All of the rain and dampness sure does attract the bugs. Nice that you got in a walk thought. Good job on STS 2 Active Recovery + STS 2 Total Body Stretch. That is a nice stretch.

Hi,

Walk outside and restorative yoga is done.

Diane - I think you are right about the weather has something to do with those flies. Today I got attract walking home. That‘s no fun. Nicely done on CDorner to the beat high or low impact cardio "Rock Music" and stretch.

Good night.
