GM Maniacs-

Like I said yesterday, no workouts to report over the weekend. I got my totm and fell off the deep end. I am starting a new meal plan (and thanks to Shana's help) have some new nutrition software that will keep me very accountable. My goals are to follow this to a tee for 2 weeks, measure everything, and keep my workouts the same. Last time I followed this plan, it started the 35 pound weight loss. I really have at least 20 pounds to lose but 30 would be wonderful. If I see a 16_ when I step on the scale, any number that follows those two are okay by me.

Today is CST with p90x and then a 30 min run. I only got one run in last week so I think I will continue the 9 min run with 1 min walk (x3) for one more week. The 5k is Oct 31st and I am already trying to come up with excuses not to race.

Hope everyone has a great monday.
Theresa

I did a warm up on the treadmill and went 1.25 miles then I did STS meso 2 week 3 chest, shoulders, and triceps. I lowered the weights quite a bit today, I then did STS Pilates based abs and Yoga Shatki shoulder opener and lunge segments. Total calories burned was 649. I am still dealing with the neck tightness and headache:) I have to run so will check back in awhile.

Diane Sue-
thanks for the well wishes yesterday. Sorry your neck is giving you so much trouble. Is your shoulder bothering you too? My right one hurts a lot and has quite a bit of tension, but it's due to the way I work and my computer mechanics. I have a tendency to raise my rt shoulder towards my ear.

Have you lost any strength in your shoulder?

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Gilad's Express Training - Hips/Butt, Chest, Back, Arms and shoulders with warm up and cool down. Workout was 65" and I burned 348 calories. I also did Joint Mobility stretch 20". Didn't even feel like I stretched, as usual.

Have great workouts everyone. I work late tonight. I scheduled an appointment for massotherapy (will have to pay out of pocket) for Friday to see if I can get some relief from my back and neck pain. I have not been feeling good since my accident in July.

Diane Sue - I'm sorry about your neck and shoulder. I feel your pain (literally).

I'm sort of in an exercise funk lately. I don't seem to enjoy anything and I'm always stiff and in pain with this back/neck. Still trying to make myself take a yoga/rest day....maybe later in the week. I did do a couple easier workouts last week when I did ATRM, but I still don't feel better.

I hope that my new Action Babe Hero workouts breaks me out of my exercise rut/funk. High hopes!

Hi Ladies

Not much to report for me over the weekend. Stuck in with a cold but now much better. Yesterday I did Lauren Brookes Kettlebell Conditioning and I was flagging towards the end. Today I've started the ''10 pound Training program" kindly sent me a while back from Debbie. How on earth did you lift 115lb on a flat barbell press Debbie? You are one strong lady.

Today was Chest & Triceps from the program and the most I managed was 40lb on the bench press. Pathetic I know. I followed chest & triceps with 20 minutes interval walk/ run on the treadmill. Then walked home from the gym.

Hope you're feeling better Diane Sue and Theresa.

My eats have been a bit better today and yesterday. Hopefully I'll keep it up past Wednesday (my usual flat day).

Have good workouts everyone.
Take care
Laura

It was completely a non-stop weekend. DS's party Friday night, left 8 am Saturday morning with friends for a trip to Delaware returned 5 pm, at 6 pm went with family to Boardwalk, Sunday morning to chruch, from church to boardwalk, from boardwalk back to church for choir practice and evening service. And this chest cold is still bothering me.

Saturday morning I did manage to do Kimberly's Combat Cardio Bootcamp. Was only 40 minutes and pretty easy but that was all I could handle.

This morning was Meso 3, Disc 34 Chest and Back. My last week. This workout you go back to 85% but increase the reps to 8.

Now I am suppose to be 5% stronger but not sure if I am, as I am doing weights I did before but just adding one rep to each set.

Laura - I was at 115# bench press last summer. I don't think I can do that anymore due to my shoulder issues. I did a 90# bench on Friday and was happy about that. Glad you are doing the rotation. Hope you have fun with it!

Linda - Wow, you are on the last week already. That's amazing. You have 5 weeks to wait for me then for us to do P90X. Is that ok?

I had to go out to get my grandbaby and stopped to do some errands. Went to the area where I used to live to my favorite grocery store. I was able to pick up some kefir, blackstrap molasses, and more light coconut milk(there's was a better price than the nutrition center I went to Friday) I also got some vanilla soy milk and almond butter. I like that I can get a lot of the things for my clean eating magazine cooking and that they are good about carrying health and fitness magazines and stuff. I noticed some other things that I have not been able to find like curry paste. So I am sure I will be making more trips back that way.
Came home and was going to make the scallop recipe from the clean eating cookbook and realized I forgot the grapefruit and lemons. So, I froze half of them for later and made Grilled scallops parmigiana from my Low Carb Meals in Minutes Cook book. These were served over sauted spinach. That was lunch. Breakfast was kind of non existant unless you want to count the two cardmom spice cookies I ate from the clean eating magazine. They have ground almonds so they are sort of healthy:D

Theresa, I don't think I have really lost any strength in my shoulder. My left shoulder and lat have an almost tingling pain if that makes since.
I think when I hit my recovery week I may do a couple of light weeks before going on to Mesocycle 3.

Linda, I was not so sure that I had increased strength the last week of Meso 3 last time I did STS. I think I was pushing as hard as I could through the whole thing so lifting ended with me still where I was about week 2 of that cycle.

Lora, have you ever taken a live yoga class? I bet that would help you loosen up! The teachers know how to deal with injuries, too, so they can show you safe modifications.

Sunday was Endurance for Movement (Tracie Long) and for Monday, I just finished half an hour of Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix 2, followed by stretch segment 2 from Amy's Abs and Stretch. I think I will cross stitch a bit before bed...
