Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 1/6

Today was Workout 2 of my full body plan. Each exercise was 3 sets/8 reps with a 1 min. 30 sec. rest period. Had a great workout.

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Military Press - 20's
***Could have gone heavier but then I think my form would have been off.

QUADS
Leg Press Station - 155#
***Love this exercise. I've missed it.

CHEST
Incline Dumbbell Press - 35's
***These felt awesome. Could feel the contraction in my upper chest. It's been a long time since I've felt that.

BACK
Chinups - 8/5/5
***These were sad but all unassisted.

BICEPS
Barbell Preacher Curl - 55#
***These were tough, last set brought me to almost failure with the last rep.

TRICEPS
Lying Barbell Extensions - 55#
***These were tough too, last set was a challenge.

That is all.....

Debbie-your chin up numbers would have me calling everyone I know to brag :D Nice workout

Yesterday was HIIT and did the double pyramid. I really like that one b/c the sucky moves like tuck jumps and air jacks aren't the longest ;)

We are supposed to get nasty weather here tomorrow. High's are only going to be in the mid teens. Wow, winter is really a you-know-what this time around.

Deb-I did see that and thanks I will work on that next week. I have two bands that I am using to assist but I am still hoisting a LOT of weight up and down LOL :D

Oh Linda-thanks for the info on the overhead squats. I really feel soreness in my shoulders from those and I didn't even use that much weight. Also, I'm going to bite the bullet and do 40/20 this week.

Hermia-I cannot even imagine the traffic on freeway, you are in CA correct? I would not survive a.m. workouts as I do not even speak until I've been up at least 2 hours. Way to get it done.

I woke up this morning feeling dizzy and nauseated even though I was still lying down. I laid there for a long time. Finally got up and had some coffee and did Travel Fit 51 minutes. 332 calories Max HR 154:0 That is all. I took the girls to school and picked up Olivia. My stomach just doesn't feel good and I still have that headache.

Diane Sue-are you prone to sinus problems? That may be a possibility. I know you are not far from me and I have had the worst trouble with headaches and a bit of nausea-due to the drainage. It still makes no sense to me how I can have sinus/allergy problems in the dead of winter. Regardless, I hope you feel better. REST UP !!!

Debbie, nice workout. I need to go find one of those door attachments so I can do better at chin ups and pull ups. I put a bar across my vkr tower.

Theresa, this weather is terrible. Figures it would do this when dh is gone. I did lots of errands outside the house yesterday and topped off my gas tank. Don't want to be stranded out here needing things.
Maybe if I feel better I will try double pyramid. I have sinus issues, migraines and tension headaches. I get them all. I do think there is a stomach virus going around though. My grandson stayed home from school for a couple of days vomiting and stuff that I won't explain.

Theresa, yeah, I'm in southern California. The freeways that I use are fine at certain times in the day, but at others, an absolute nightmare. I went to yoga class again today. It was a different teacher, and I liked her class a bit better, but the unheated room may be a deal breaker for me, not sure. There's a yoga studio a little over ten miles away, and it looks great online, but I'm not sure how the traffic will be. I may give it a try.

Sorry about the crappy weather some of you have! It's quite nice here, but I like seasons, so I wouldn't mind if it were colder. Well, not cold as in loads of snow, but just some nice sweater weather.

Hope you feel better, Diane!

Great workout, Debbie. =)

Hi Everyone,

This morning I did Tracie Long's Back Up. Really love the med ball segment on these and the more I do them, the more they work me. However, today I should have not lifted so high working shoulders and am having terrible shoulder pain. Will I ever learn that I HAVE to modify those moves? Workout was 60" and I burned 512 calories.

I also did Ravi & Ana's Yoga Bliss Hips. I thoroughly enjoyed this and MUST get back to doing more Kundalini yoga, as it makes me feel like no other form of exercise. Amazing stuff! I have their new ones on preorder. Will start adding it in more often....if I can figure out how to!

It's my only day off for a while. I work 7 straight after today! and we are super slow at work now....which makes for long, boring days.

Linda - I'm surprised to hear you want to continue with P90X but I think that's great. I sort of wish I would have continued with it but doing one more pushup just didn't appeal to me. You go girl!!! And nice job on today's workout!!! I now sort of wish I would have purchased STS Cardio. I'm hearing so many good things about it.

Debbie - Great workout! I can't believe I've decided to finish P90X either. I keep telling myself it is only 4 more weeks and at least some of the workouts alternate. Guess I am no good at quitting. Also, I'll e sending you a pm.

Theresa - Now I have to ask ...How bad is Double Wave????

- Sorry you are feeling so lousy. If you manage a workout today, I will have decided you are inhuman. :p

- The cold room would certainly be a deal breaker for me. I asked for yoga socks from my secret santa and I do yoga in a heated room!

This morning I did SC Step Moves. It was a very fun workout. Got most of it down and should be able to smooth it out with another 1 or 2 tries. Couple of problems I did have was the ball of my left foot was sore while doing it. But I don't feel it in my Uggs or while walking around. And having some pain in the outside of my right knee. Kinda worried about that.

Linda-don't get me wrong it's hard, but you move up and down on the intervals so it is not unbearable. I think this is my favorite so far.

Diane Sue, hope you feel better soon.

I did MMA boxing today, it was ok like hiit better. Doing Insanity really pushed my cardio level way up so I am used to really working hard.

We are getting snow here tonight with low temps. Our high Friday is going to be 8.YUCK

Okay, let's talk Tracey's Cardio Kickbox Challenge. Yesterday I received 3 shipping notices from Tracey and now today I get an email saying there has been some confusion and she is not sure it shipped at all so she sent it again today So now I am wondering exactly how many copies of this DVD am I going to receive? Anyone else get this?
