Hardcore Fitness Crazy Maniacal Machines 2/22/2007

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did CIA Criss Cross Cardio with 10 minutes of the standing leg portion of the DVD and a small portion of Tae Bo Amped Full Throttle (just to check it out). I only did a total of 70" of aerobics and burned 420 calories. I did most of my cardio on the rebounder for my foot. I guess I'll have to back off running until it stops with this PF problem. Also won't be using the 3 lb Amped bar for one-handed punches...as my shoulders are hurting BAD this morning and I tried that yesterday.

My glasses fell apart again this morning....so I have to try to get into my optician....as I can't see that well out of my contacts.

Jen - YBB came? Wow!! Which ones did you get? The basic set or the Lives? and what title. I'll be interested to see how you like it/them. You should like TJ Live. That aerobics and Fat Blaster are 2 of my fave's.

Diane Sue - I have to go to the grocery store this morning so I'm going to buy that dressing and try one of those salads for lunch. Thanks for the dressing info.

Suz - Geez....I never saw that post in Open Discussion. Maybe that's a good thing cuz I'm so excited about wanting them to come out...I don't think I could have waited that long! LOL. I've been wanting something like this for a long time and was not happy at all with Budokon. I hope these other one's fit the bill!

Have great workouts everyone. I'll be around off and on....have some stuff to do.

Thursday already. Yikes.

I could not wake up this morning, very hard to get out of bed and I did NOT feel like doing cardio at all.

I dragged my butt in my workout room and got on my treadmill and did Cardio Coach 4. This is one freakin' hard workout, I think its the hardest of all the Cardio Coach series so far. So why I picked this one for today is beyond me. Lots of sprints and climbs with very little rest. Its tough but I did it and I feel pretty good right now. This CC was 40 minutes long but I stayed on my treadmill to reach an hour.

Total workout was 1:06, was in my zone for 49 minutes and burned 350 calories.

Have great workouts everyone!

Meg - glad you got them and I hope you like them.

Diane Sue - forgot to mention -- I got my 2 Joyce Vedral's. I was wondering how you would use these. One DVD has a Chest/Back & Hip/Butt workout that are around 30" each. The 2nd DVD has a Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps workout and Thigh workout that are 30" each. I could do 2 of them on 1 day. The obvious way would be upper body one day, lower body another day and a total body or circuit on the third weight day....but how else would you split these. Boy....now I see what everyone means about Joyce's form. It's awful! I've seen so much typed about her....I was just so curious and had to try them. I've heard her workouts yield results....so we'll see.

Deb - I think I did CC#4 - ALL on the TM last week. Maybe's that's what did my foot and back in! I just realized that when you typed it. I never know which ones are hard or easy when I pick them. I usually just pick ....based on how much time I have. I missed GH last night. I"m so mad. The DH hit a button on the remote and the VCR taped the Weather channel for an hour. Gee thanks DH!!!

Good Morning, workers will be here again today. I think they will have to finish because it is supposed to rain this weekend. The weather here has been beautiful the last couple of days. I am doing abs, yoga and some cardio. I am not sure what for abs. Tuesday when I did Tracey Staehles I also did some barbell rollouts on toes with 75#. My abs are still a little sore:) Since Dallys gave a free coupon code for i train I downloaded i tread #13 30 min. I will probably save it for tomorrow as I will be rushed again taking children to school.

Lora, let me think about those workouts. I ordered a splint to wear at night for my plantar fasciitis. I should get it soon. It was recommended to me by a friend. Check it out at www.thesock.com . Enjoy your salad:)

Debbie, I hate when I can't get up in the mornings. Hope you have a good day.

Charlotte have fun with KPC:)

Hi to everyone BBL

Morning Maniacs! Took my dog for a 3 1/2 mile walk outside. I didn't dress warm enough and I am still cold. Course, I'm eating frozen blueberries and that's not helping. LOL! Hoping to get in a long yoga session later.

Toasty- You're cheatin' on Tony!! I'm telling!

Debbie- I can't believe you picked CC4 when you weren't in the mood! Are you nuts? LOL! I always pick CC1 on those days that's why I've done CC1 the most.LOL!

Lora- I had a Joyce Vedral Workout and was shocked at her bad form. I just couldn't even look at her. Her Squats are atrocious! I got rid of them for that reason alone. I couldn't get past it. LOL!

Meg- Both my daughter and I hurt our knees doing those Lotte burke workouts, be careful! Watch your form.

Diane Sue- Let us know how you like the Itread workout. I need to try mine too.

Gotta go Tea is whistleing...I need to warm up here.

Diane Sue - Thanks for the splint info. My foot doesn't seem to be worse in the morning though...so I wonder if it would help me. It seems to get worse after I"m on my feet. I've cut back on my aerobics slightly and I'll TRY to refrain from the TM, but I really want to be able to use it! I sent my new Saucony's back and ordered the style I had before....the Grid Tangent. Didn't like the one I ordered. It reminded me of a New Balance shoe and I don't really care for those anymore. The one I previously got (Grid Tangent) has a "glove like" fit on the foot. I like that. I got my salad. They gave me a bit of a hard time about "no chicken". I guess they had to take it off. Have you ever tried Newman's Own Lime Vinagarette dressing? I love some of the Lime Vinagarette salad's I've gotten in restaurants.......so I'm thinking I want to try it.

Charlotte - My Trading Post came.........got Passion & Loss and 2 shirts that I have to try to sell on Ebay! Not sure about Loss yet....very ...very different.....but Passion is everything we hoped, so far. Can't beleive you got sick of KenpoX!!

Dallys - Yes, it stunned me to see her form. After all -- she does write books and has been doing this for a long time. If she really lifts weights like that and has her entire life, then I would think her posture would be pretty screwed up, right?

Everyone's quiet today.

Hi Maniacs!!

I need some time!!!! Hopefully I can catch up this weekend. I have to download some cardiocoach's (DEB DALLYS LORA DIANE SUE-suggestions on what to start with please!!!...thinking I will download at least 2 for now). Also have to get pictures downloaded and start my bread!!!.

oh and catch up on 2 weeks worth of p90x!!! Just kidding. I'm trying not to beat myself up, I just have been really busy. My 5 pm appt. cancelled today so I may make it home to workout afterall.

Janie...by the way..you are blowing me away on the push ups!! That is fantastic! I am no where near you in boy push ups. But I have made great strides since p90x.

Dallys...I'm so jealous, I want to take my dog for a walk!! We boarded Zeus while we were gone at this family owned place on a farm, I think he got treated really well (ya never know) the little girl there did not want to let him go home. But they still took my 200 bucks! He has been sleeping alot ever since.

Jen...I would love to start another p90x round this summer with you, lora and diane sue, or was it Dallys? (did I see Meg-did you get it..or plan on it????) maybe we can twist Char's arm too! Suz are you in?

Ok, gotta make an effort to see the woodgrain on my desk today, at least I think there is woodgrain under here somewhere!

Hi to all I missed have great workouts!!!

Amber

Lora...does that mean you traded on their forum for some passion??? is it an imp..or the bottle size? How much was that? Oh and thanks for the Sean info...I decided to hold off. I need to use more of my collection before I start adding more to it!!! IE...turbo jams...haven't used in over a year I bet. Plus, my DH is gonna kill me when I order these cardio coach's and I haven't finished P90x yet. I have to finish, have to have to have to!!! Amber

Amber - I wish!! I actually placed a last minute Valentine's order cuz I really NEEDED passion. I ended up getting lucky. I'm not sure I'm going to keep Loss though. Hope I can sell it and the shirts on Ebay. I know it's stressful going back to work after a vacation. I always hate it. I actually like all of the Cardio Coaches. I can't really pick. I guess I'd just get one of the shorter versions and one longer. I think the intervals get harder as they get higher up in number....not sure. Diane Sue and Deb should have favorites to pick. My DH is already ready to kill me.......LOL!

Diane Sue- Just finished my salad. It was good.....they didn't forget the almonds. I don't know if it was enough for me to eat though....I still feel hungry.....I'm such a pig. I love salads with cranberries. Are they fattening cuz they're sugary?

Lora- I have some of Joyce's books too. Her form is bad in those too. Another thing that bugs me about her, is that she lifts really light weights in her workouts. And during the workout she said she lifts alot heavier at home. HUH? I can't remeber which one I had.

Amber- Not me.. One P90X rotation a year is enough for me. I might use them here and there, but not a full rotation. I bet your dog real is happy to see you all!

Last minute I was going to ride my bike. High wind warning posted for today, but I thought I could wing it before it came..no luck. Just when I went outside to get ready...wind out of nowhere..was calm before. Clouds rolled in and making it feel alittle colder too so will stick with KPC and some ab work and some bonus squats, etc. Eating my lunch right now.

Lora,

YEAH! I was just thinking about you and wondering if you got your package yet. That is great news! Glad you like it. So it seems like from what I have read and heard from others that True Love and Passion are the better ones? And Passion smells like a cross between Smut and Trick 1? Enjoy.

And yeah, I think KPC is alittle more effective then Kenpo, but Kenpo is fun, but KPC makes you sweat more.

Bionics,

yeah..yeah..yeah! All those plyo's have bothered my left knee. When I stretch at night, I got to be careful..that was what I was suppose to do today..oh, well. So did you order any Cleo yet? What you waiting for? A revolution? lol

Debbie,

Seems like we get feeling blah at times. Had my share. At least you did it and you burned alot of cals. Tomorrow is friday..Avon again? lol

Charlotte~~

Good Mornin,

Jen I decided to do the P90X stretch last night. I sure needed that.

Just got up and ate, waiting to digest before I do Gym Style legs today.

Will be using the Smith Machine for legs as well. Curls for hamstring and quads, also squats. Since this is my first time for legs, I'll have to figure out the weight/poundage.

Also today is the day that I volunteer to see my ladies and help them with whatever they come up with. So I won't be on until way late to post my workouts.

Char, Have fun with KPC and your ab workouts.

Lora, looks like a medley of exercises. Can't get bored with that.;-)

Meg, I went to the library about a year ago and found all the Lotte Berts Methods. I found them to be great workouts and so purchased them on ebay. It reminds me of an updated version of the Callanetics series by Callan Pinckney.

Debbie, that doesn't sound like you. Better take it easy there girl. Seems when you are feeling tired/a little sick, you workout even harder. I admire that! For me,I pamper myself. But then again, that's the difference for having an exceptional body. You keep going.

Diane Sue, glad to hear the workers are almost done. Bet you'll be glad when it's over. Jeesh, who wouldn't?

I have the most flat feet in the world and my podiatrist told me I had plantar fasciitis. He recommended Birkenstocks shoes and inserts. I've never had a problem again with my feet. For years I had to purchase expensive arch supports and related stuff, but not anymore. Check into these remarkable shoes/inserts, it's worth it. Saves you a ton of money and pain.

Well, I'm off now to do my legs and abs, will post again later. Have great workouts everyone.

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

Charlotte- Heartache and Longing are both good too. I like them very much. One has patchouli and one has pear and they are nice. Like True Love lots. Yes, I guess if I had to pick 2 to compare Passion....I'd have to agree with you.....although, I would most likely just describe it as red musk with vanilla, warm...golden with a bit of spice (clove). My nose just went on me. I can only smell out of one side and the good side has closed up for now. It will reopen at a later time!! I will get around to doing what you asked. Your other stuff has gone out already. Let me know when you get it. I was going to work on my BPAL stuff now...but the freakin' unemployment office just sent me something I need to respond to that could stop my benefits......they APPARENTLY got incorrect info from the hospital. They have information saying I quit my job via voicemail to my supervisor saying I was having "family issues"....not even close to what happened to me. Guess they pulled the wrong file for that info!!! OYY!

Hey Janie,

Glad you are enjoying your new equipment! Have fun with Marcy!

Lora,

Thanks! I will let you know when I get them. Bless you. I am wearing O today. Not sure why. lol. I had on Aprodesia yesterday. It lasted for about 8 hours. It smells so friggin' awesome...honey and amber mostly I get, but I have to stay content because I only have a imp size worth of it. I am surprised no one outbid me on that one. I did win a bid for the Vhassajava..(sp?) You know, that name is too much for me to think of to spell right! OY! So anyhow, get to try that one too. I order some more vials so I can keep samples from my big bottles.

I hate when my day gets in a tangle and something go amiss. Hope you get it all straightened out.

Charlotte~~

Toasty- Sorry your bike ride got blown away.;) I hate that! I'm trying to convince my knees that they can at least 'work up' to running 2 miles straight. If I take it real slow, I just might pull it off. I can't wait to get on my bike. The weather and time are not cooperating with me yet. Plus, my dog has needed desperatly to get out, so I'm doing the walking thing right now. Love, love, loveing being outside! If I ever do buy an oil, it will be Cleo. ;) I'm not really into wearing scents, so I haven't thought to much about them.

Amber- Forgot to answer on the CC's. They are all good, so good that I don't think I could pick one. It also depends on how good of shape you are in for whatever equipment you will use. For instance, I can do all of them on my St. Bike, but would have real difficulty doing the longer ones (4 and up) on the treadmill if I chose to run. I'm not in any kind of shape for running. So, if you are starting to run and haven't done much of it, start with 1, 2, or 3. If you are a cardio junkie and run like the wind, you can tackle 4, 5, or 6. Really the only differenc is time and rests and length of challenges. They are all Challenging. Hope this helps some.:)

Well dear ladies....I really am feeling blah and tired, not really like a maniacal machine today..maybe tomorrow? Not sure what is up. Maybe need to remember to take vitamins and STAY ON THEM! Had a great breakfast and lunch of all which was plentiful and healthy so I just decided to do this.....

3 sets/10 reps squats w/150#
3 sets/8 reps leg ext 90#
3 sets/10 reps deadlifts 110#
3 sets/8 reps ham presses 45#
3 sets/16 reps low pulsating squats with 60#

Just ab work left.

Bionics,

Oh, I want to hike too, don't you? I love to keep going until my legs feel numb. It shouldn't be long for me to bike again. Once March is here, it will start getting better, but then you got the winds which is bad for biking...like today. The knees? I know just what you are saying. I am right there with ya. I think you are smart with what you do and going slow will be better. No running on gravel roads..that is what I use to do. :p
