Hardcore Fitnes Maniacs for the week of October 28, 2013

I hope this hasn't already been started. I only saw last week's check in.
I started with Insanity Upper Body, modifying a couple of things. This was 48 minutes, 376 calories which is about a hundred under where I typically am on this workout. I do like the format of this one with the dropsets, compound moves, and a little cardio and core in it.
I then did X train bonus delt workout, 13 min,76 calories. I finished with Shiva's Power Yoga Flow Fire and Water 23 min, 79 calories. Total time was 84 mnutes and calories burned 521.

Hi everyone! Sorry for not checking in. My work is getting in the way. I didn't workout last week from Thursday on, but did workout yesterday and today, I just haven't had time to post.

Yesterday I did Cardio Coach #1 and had an excellent workout. Today I did the STS Total Body Lower Body only premix. Love that one. I had a great workout this morning as well.

I didn't do much of a workout today. I did the X10 warm up and decided that I couldn't chance trying the low impact workout. So, I did Les Mills Combat Core Attack, then Supreme 90 Day Ultimate Ball workout modifying the roll ins and subbing more roll outs for the side to side knee in thing. I then did STS Extended stretch. Total time was 78 min ad calories 381.

Today I did Run Fit and my goal was to run it .25 miles more. I ran it at 3.3 last time and wanted to get to at least 3.5 miles. But alas, I only hit 3.3 again. I really did give it my all, though. My speeds were up in both challenges so I can't figure out why that didn't add up to a little bit more. Oh well, I had an excellent workout even though my legs are extremely sore after yesterday's leg workout!

CARDIO STATS:
55 minutes total
3 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
37 minutes above zone
488 calories burned
3.3 miles traveled

Today I did X Train Chest, Back, and Shoulders. I finished off with Combat Inner Warrior Strength and Stretch. That is it. My leg really is throbbing today. 71 minutes, 382 calories.

Debbie, nice work anyway. You will get there.

Today I did the upper body premix of STS Total Body. Had a fairly decent workout. I hate that I can't go heavy with upper body work anymore. It really bums me out. I still have a bit of pain in my left shoulder, it feels like it could be the rotator cuff. I think that is what causes all my problems in my upper back. When that gets irritated, it sets off a domino effect and everything up there starts to hurt. I really should get it looked at. I keep saying that and then I don't make the appointment.

Diane Sue - What's wrong with your leg? I must have missed something.

Today I did X train Biceps and Triceps with Core 2, 245 calories, 58 minutes. I then did Flex Train Triceps and Core/Abs 16 minutes, 80 calories. I finished with Shiva's More Daily Energy Prayer Wheel and Evolution Flow 44 minutes, 146 calories. Total time was 1 hr 58 min and calories 471.
My leg really swollen this morning and hurts. I have my appointment with the Orthopedic doctor this afternoon. Finally!! It will be 3 months the 5th of me dealing with this and jumping through hoops trying to get something done with all of the insurance approvals etc..

Debbie, according to the MRI that I finally got done, there is a small posterior horn meniscal tear, osteoarthritis, poplitieal cyst, and meniscal cyst. It seemed to be getting better and then last Thursday I was dragging the hose out to water in weed killer and tripped over a loose brick on the edge of the patio and landed on the same knee. Not a good thing. Anyway, August 5 is when I started experiencing pain and swelling. I thought it was something to do with the lower body workout I had done a couple of days before when doing the Beast. Who knows.

Wow, November already. I can't believe the holiday's are knocking at our doors. Unreal...

Today I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes and had a really excellent workout. I didn't even feel like working out since it's TTOM, but I made myself go in my workout room and get on my treadmill. I'm glad I did!

I only had time for the first two challenges in this workout, but I was able to hit 3 miles so I'm happy about that!!!

CARDIO STATS:
50 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
14 minutes in zone
34 minutes above zone
458 calories burned
3 miles traveled

I'm so glad it's Friday! Hope you all have great workouts and a great weekend!

Diane Sue - I'm sorry to hear that. Will you need to have surgery?

Diane Sue, so sorry to hear about all that, and as Debbie asked is surgery needed?

Today I did focus T25 speed, some back work.

Yesterday Athletic Step.

Today I put in my Power Hour DVD again and did Biceps, triceps, and abs from Power Hour, MIS, and Body Max and did two of the stretches. I did my own warm up. The workout was 75 minutes and I burned 344 calories.

Debbie and Roselyn, the orthopedic surgeon says if I don't get the meniscus repaired it could tear more. I have to call back Monday and let them know if I want them to set up the surgery. The fall made it worse. I have read a lot on it and if it is a small tear in the red zone it may heal on it's own. Because there is more likely some blood flow there. If it was going to heal on it's own though it should have done so by now. 3 months is a long time. I am a little worried because after the fall there is a little catch in my kneecap when I walk and climb the stairs, also my calf is really sore. I am also kind afraid of the surgery.
