Hardcore Check in January 16,2011

Today is a rest day. I may do a stretch tape later. I am relaxing this weekend. I did a few errands yesterday but soaked in my whirlpool bath with bath salts and read. I did paperwork though. I still need to get back at that. I realized this morning that there is no school Monday so I have a long weekend:D

Hermia, I think that Cameron (the instructor) is great as far as form pointers for the poses. He has tutorials you can watch. You can even click on them during the workout. Most of the poses is really placement. It does take a bit. He also does plow into crane. I haven't attempted what looks like the hardest dvd yet. It is power and agility. Did you get your cell phone back?

Morning :D

Yesterday, I did scrambled eggs, man oh man, got me real good I had to stop a few times. This morning, not sure what I am going to do, right now sitting and enjoying coffee:)

Diane: enjoy your rest day;)

Good morning ~

I got caught up with starting a new job the past few days. It is only 15 hours a week; a community support position. I am not dropping my other job though, so right now it feels like a lot  I did nothing yesterday, but did get in some sort of workout all the other days. I will be doing Insanity Max Interval Plyo today. I have a lot of other things to do, but would also like to get in Budokon this evening. Once I get a set schedule and can figure out everything else around that, it will be easier (I hope).

Diane Sue - Your workouts have looked great (as usual). Glad to hear you are relaxed AND get a 3 day weekend. Enjoy :)

Teddy - Have fun with whatever you decide. Good job scrambling those eggs ;) . Someone who didn't know better would think we were a check in for cooking school :p .

Roselyn - I need some of whatever got into you Saturday. Holy cow - nice job with the crazy cardio :)

Hermia - Laughed about your description of Pilates. I have only one DVD for that (Windsor something or other). I'd thought about mentioning the Budokon tapes to you but kept forgetting. Also, while they do have yoga in them, they are something of a hybrid workout and involve martial arts and more powerful, faster movement patterns. I've wondered if you would like them. You have such an excellent yoga foundation, I think maybe you would. There are all sorts of clips on Youtube. I got into them a few months ago and love them. Once I started Insanity, I found it trickier to fit them in with everything else I wanted to do, though. One way or another, I will get them in this week. Now that Diane Sue is doing them, it makes me really miss them

Ok, then. I will try to stay on track this week. My leg is better (knock on wood). I haven't felt like curling up into a ball and doing nothing like this in a very long time. Shaun T. should snap me out of that

Have a good day.

Lori

This morning, I did CC#8 CAN'T get away from it;)

Stats:

457 cals burned
4:23 miles
60:00 Time

Lori :):D You have a good day as well

Diane Sue, reading and soaking in the whirlpool sounds sooo nice! A perfect thing to do on a rest day. =)
Never found the phone, but I did get a new one yesterday. The new phone is just an updated version of my previous money. Would have prefered not to have had to spend the money, but oh well. With the wedding coming up I'm spending tons of money.
Lori, the Budokon vids do sound interesting...I'll have to check on collage. It's fun to do different things and change it up, but then that adds the challenge of getting everything in you want to do! I guess that's a good problem to have, though, since muscle confusion is supposed to keep us in better shape!

Today I worked out much earlier than usual, which is good. I actually finished about four or so. I tried a new premix, the cardio/strength circuit with legs and glutes and whatever the kickboxing one that's on the same dvd with it is called. It was pretty challenging. I did 45 minutes of it and then decided to call it good.
