I am getting ready to go do Insanity Sports Drills. I will probably do something else for a warm up before I start. Sean T just seems to jump right in there and I am not that ready right when I get up in the morning. I have to take my granddaughters to school so better go get busy:)

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Jackie Warner's Total Body Circuit. This was the first time I did it. I liked it, but I swear there was 20 minutes of ab work in this and it's only a 45" workout. I have been debating working my abs for a while since my side and back are flaring up from my fall. Workout was 60" with stretch and I added on a couple sets of bi's and tri's. I burned 424 calories.

Have great workouts everyone.

ETA: I just ordered Lauren Brooks new Kettlebell DVD if anyone is interested........here's the link:

Today was Kenpo X. Had a good workout, did pretty well with it, I am still worried a bit about my back and this workout has a lot of twisting and turning. I was careful and did well. Wore my 1# weighted gloves. Didn't really sweat much, though. Not sure why?

HR STATS:
60 minutes total
18 minutes below zone
20 minutes in zone
23 minutes above zone
428 calories burned

The highest my HR got was 148 bpm.

I love this workout!

Hi Ladies-
Yesterday was cardio and I did Amy's ASC3 combos 1-3 and the warm up. She sure has a lot going on in each combo, but I did fairly well. I think after a few more rounds I should have the moves down and it should be a fun workout.

I have an appt at 430 today and I have no idea what time I will get out. I hope to workout when I get home but may have to play it by ear.

My workout is done and I took the girls to school. I am getting ready to go out and do errands before something comes up again. I started with Tracey's Hi/Lo Med ball athletic mix w/up and cardio 25 minutes and burned 175 calories. I then did Insanity Max Interval Sports Drills 54 minutes and burned 459 calories.Total workout time was 1 hr 19 minutes and I burned 634 calories, 35% fat Max HR was 165. I would have liked to have more stretching time but maybe later.

Debbie, glad you got through Kempo X with no back issues. Nice calorie burn too:)

Lora, thanks for the link. I will have to go check that one out. I never purchased her last workout but borrowed one from a friend and did it. It was a pretty good workout.

Theresa, I think Amy's ASC 3 is my favorite of her step workouts. It took a bit to get it all down but now I love doing that one.

Today I did Kenpo X. Would love to try this with weighted gloves but can't yet. Good news the only move that bother my shoulders was the hook, so I had to keep it in real close almost more like an elbow strike.

Lora - Did you ever see the book recommendation I told you to check out? You never said if you seen the post or not. I put a link for it as well. I think it was Monday or maybe last Friday. I can't remember.

Diane Sue - How did you like the sports drills? Those sound like fun to me.

Theresa - Nice workout. I like Amy's kickboxing workouts but not so much her other types of workouts. I remember I tried one of her step workouts when she first made them and I couldn't follow along at all. I gave up. LOL!

Linda - Nice going with Kenpo X. Hope your shoulder gets better soon. I know what you are feeling, believe me. Did you see the stretches Theresa posted for us? I haven't tried them yet but plan too.

What happened to Teddygirl????

Linda, I had to leave off the weighted gloves for awhile too. But you know I found if I got deeper and kicked higher I still got almost as good a calorie burn. Part of my problem for awhile was my elbow though.

Debbie, the sports drills are fun. No choreography to learn and it kicks up the hr. Here is a rundown of the sports drills on Insanity Max Interval Sports Drills
The drills are boxing(jab cross, upper cuts, jabs & power jumps) football(fast feet sprint 8 drop to floor and do low side crawl in push up position 8 then jump up repeat, tackle arms straight out to side and jump to the side pulling arms in as you move and back out like you are wrapping around someone for a tackle 4 right 4 left repeat, then hop right 4 jabbing with elbow then left 4 jabbing repeat), basketball( 3 point shot jump shoot 8 fast feet to other side ,gaurd drills squat jump backwards with arms out 3 flip jump back the other way, suicide drill tapping the floo 2 mins, lunge jumps dribbliing hands under) gymnastics (pike jumps kicking feet up and back, pendulum in pike position, abs v sit legs raised 6" 15 sec flutter kicks 15 sec 15 sec scissors repeat, v pushups in a pike position 20 reps, bronco jumps start squat drop to hands on floor butt kick and back to squat hop repeat 20 times) track and field ladders spints runs high knees 15 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, 60 sec, 45 sec 30 sec 15 sec with 15 sec breaks, long jump jog then run jump and land in squat repeat for 5 sets right then 5 on the left

Linda - Nice going with Kenpo X. Hope your shoulder gets better soon. I know what you are feeling, believe me. Did you see the stretches Theresa posted for us? I haven't tried them yet but plan too.

Debbie - I did see the stretches that Theresa posted and I have done them a few times. I am not sure if there is improvement yet, but the stretches do make my shoulders feel good right after I am done. :D I wanted to ask you if you ever got that InStyler for your hair? I am having a horrible time keeping my hair under control any more.

Linda, I had to leave off the weighted gloves for awhile too. But you know I found if I got deeper and kicked higher I still got almost as good a calorie burn. Part of my problem for awhile was my elbow though.

DianeSue
- I got a good workout, but with each punch I was so worried about my shoulders. Kinda takes teh fun out a bit. Are you going to get the rest of Insanity?
